Judges 4

And the children of Israel again did evil in the sight of the LORD, when Ehud was dead.

جب اہود فوت ہوا تو اسرائیلی دوبارہ ایسی حرکتیں کرنے لگے جو رب کے نزدیک بُری تھیں۔

And the LORD sold them into the hand of Jabin king of Canaan, that reigned in Hazor; the captain of whose host was Sisera, which dwelt in Harosheth of the Gentiles.

اِس لئے رب نے اُنہیں کنعان کے بادشاہ یابین کے حوالے کر دیا۔ یابین کا دار الحکومت حصور تھا، اور اُس کے پاس 900 لوہے کے رتھ تھے۔ اُس کے لشکر کا سردار سیسرا تھا جو ہروست ہگوئیم میں رہتا تھا۔ یابین نے 20 سال اسرائیلیوں پر بہت ظلم کیا، اِس لئے اُنہوں نے مدد کے لئے رب کو پکارا۔

And the children of Israel cried unto the LORD: for he had nine hundred chariots of iron; and twenty years he mightily oppressed the children of Israel.

اِس لئے رب نے اُنہیں کنعان کے بادشاہ یابین کے حوالے کر دیا۔ یابین کا دار الحکومت حصور تھا، اور اُس کے پاس 900 لوہے کے رتھ تھے۔ اُس کے لشکر کا سردار سیسرا تھا جو ہروست ہگوئیم میں رہتا تھا۔ یابین نے 20 سال اسرائیلیوں پر بہت ظلم کیا، اِس لئے اُنہوں نے مدد کے لئے رب کو پکارا۔

And Deborah, a prophetess, the wife of Lapidoth, she judged Israel at that time.

اُن دنوں میں دبورہ نبیہ اسرائیل کی قاضی تھی۔ اُس کا شوہر لفیدوت تھا،

And she dwelt under the palm tree of Deborah between Ramah and Beth–el in mount Ephraim: and the children of Israel came up to her for judgment.

اور وہ ’دبورہ کے کھجور‘ کے پاس رہتی تھی جو افرائیم کے پہاڑی علاقے میں رامہ اور بیت ایل کے درمیان تھا۔ اِس درخت کے سائے میں وہ اسرائیلیوں کے معاملات کے فیصلے کیا کرتی تھی۔

And she sent and called Barak the son of Abinoam out of Kedesh–naphtali, and said unto him, Hath not the LORD God of Israel commanded, saying, Go and draw toward mount Tabor, and take with thee ten thousand men of the children of Naphtali and of the children of Zebulun?

ایک دن دبورہ نے برق بن ابی نوعم کو بُلایا۔ برق نفتالی کے قبائلی علاقے کے شہر قادس میں رہتا تھا۔ دبورہ نے برق سے کہا، ”رب اسرائیل کا خدا آپ کو حکم دیتا ہے، ’نفتالی اور زبولون کے قبیلوں میں سے 10,000 مردوں کو جمع کر کے اُن کے ساتھ تبور پہاڑ پر چڑھ جا!

And I will draw unto thee to the river Kishon Sisera, the captain of Jabin's army, with his chariots and his multitude; and I will deliver him into thine hand.

مَیں یابین کے لشکر کے سردار سیسرا کو اُس کے رتھوں اور فوج سمیت تیرے قریب کی قیسون ندی کے پاس کھینچ لاؤں گا۔ وہاں مَیں اُسے تیرے ہاتھ میں کر دوں گا‘۔“

And Barak said unto her, If thou wilt go with me, then I will go: but if thou wilt not go with me, then I will not go.

برق نے جواب دیا، ”مَیں صرف اِس صورت میں جاؤں گا کہ آپ بھی ساتھ جائیں۔ آپ کے بغیر مَیں نہیں جاؤں گا۔“

And she said, I will surely go with thee: notwithstanding the journey that thou takest shall not be for thine honour; for the LORD shall sell Sisera into the hand of a woman. And Deborah arose, and went with Barak to Kedesh.

دبورہ نے کہا، ”ٹھیک ہے، مَیں ضرور آپ کے ساتھ جاؤں گی۔ لیکن اِس صورت میں آپ کو سیسرا پر غالب آنے کی عزت حاصل نہیں ہو گی بلکہ ایک عورت کو۔ کیونکہ رب سیسرا کو ایک عورت کے حوالے کر دے گا۔“ چنانچہ دبورہ برق کے ساتھ قادس گئی۔

And Barak called Zebulun and Naphtali to Kedesh; and he went up with ten thousand men at his feet: and Deborah went up with him.

وہاں برق نے زبولون اور نفتالی کے قبیلوں کو اپنے پاس بُلا لیا۔ 10,000 آدمی اُس کی راہنمائی میں تبور پہاڑ پر چلے گئے۔ دبورہ بھی ساتھ گئی۔

Now Heber the Kenite, which was of the children of Hobab the father in law of Moses, had severed himself from the Kenites, and pitched his tent unto the plain of Zaanaim, which is by Kedesh.

اُن دنوں میں ایک قینی بنام حِبر نے اپنا خیمہ قادس کے قریب ایلون ضعننیم میں لگایا ہوا تھا۔ قینی موسیٰ کے سالے حوباب کی اولاد میں سے تھا۔ لیکن حِبر دوسرے قینیوں سے الگ رہتا تھا۔

And they shewed Sisera that Barak the son of Abinoam was gone up to mount Tabor.

اب سیسرا کو اطلاع دی گئی کہ برق بن ابی نوعم فوج لے کر پہاڑ تبور پر چڑھ گیا ہے۔

And Sisera gathered together all his chariots, even nine hundred chariots of iron, and all the people that were with him, from Harosheth of the Gentiles unto the river of Kishon.

یہ سن کر وہ ہروست ہگوئیم سے روانہ ہو کر اپنے 900 رتھوں اور باقی لشکر کے ساتھ قیسون ندی پر پہنچ گیا۔

And Deborah said unto Barak, Up; for this is the day in which the LORD hath delivered Sisera into thine hand: is not the LORD gone out before thee? So Barak went down from mount Tabor, and ten thousand men after him.

تب دبورہ نے برق سے بات کی، ”حملہ کے لئے تیار ہو جائیں، کیونکہ رب نے آج ہی سیسرا کو آپ کے قابو میں کر دیا ہے۔ رب آپ کے آگے آگے چل رہا ہے۔“ چنانچہ برق اپنے 10,000 آدمیوں کے ساتھ تبور پہاڑ سے اُتر آیا۔

And the LORD discomfited Sisera, and all his chariots, and all his host, with the edge of the sword before Barak; so that Sisera lighted down off his chariot, and fled away on his feet.

جب اُنہوں نے دشمن پر حملہ کیا تو رب نے کنعانیوں کے پورے لشکر میں رتھوں سمیت افرا تفری پیدا کر دی۔ سیسرا اپنے رتھ سے اُتر کر پیدل ہی فرار ہو گیا۔

But Barak pursued after the chariots, and after the host, unto Harosheth of the Gentiles: and all the host of Sisera fell upon the edge of the sword; and there was not a man left.

برق کے آدمیوں نے بھاگنے والے فوجیوں اور اُن کے رتھوں کا تعاقب کر کے اُن کو ہروست ہگوئیم تک مارتے گئے۔ ایک بھی نہ بچا۔

Howbeit Sisera fled away on his feet to the tent of Jael the wife of Heber the Kenite: for there was peace between Jabin the king of Hazor and the house of Heber the Kenite.

اِتنے میں سیسرا پیدل چل کر قینی آدمی حِبر کی بیوی یاعیل کے خیمے کے پاس بھاگ آیا تھا۔ وجہ یہ تھی کہ حصور کے بادشاہ یابین کے حِبر کے گھرانے کے ساتھ اچھے تعلقات تھے۔

And Jael went out to meet Sisera, and said unto him, Turn in, my lord, turn in to me; fear not. And when he had turned in unto her into the tent, she covered him with a mantle.

یاعیل خیمے سے نکل کر سیسرا سے ملنے گئی۔ اُس نے کہا، ”آئیں میرے آقا، اندر آئیں اور نہ ڈریں۔“ چنانچہ وہ اندر آ کر لیٹ گیا، اور یاعیل نے اُس پر کمبل ڈال دیا۔

And he said unto her, Give me, I pray thee, a little water to drink; for I am thirsty. And she opened a bottle of milk, and gave him drink, and covered him.

سیسرا نے کہا، ”مجھے پیاس لگی ہے، کچھ پانی پلا دو۔“ یاعیل نے دودھ کا مشکیزہ کھول کر اُسے پلا دیا اور اُسے دوبارہ چھپا دیا۔

Again he said unto her, Stand in the door of the tent, and it shall be, when any man doth come and enquire of thee, and say, Is there any man here? that thou shalt say, No.

سیسرا نے درخواست کی، ”دروازے میں کھڑی ہو جاؤ! اگر کوئی آئے اور پوچھے کہ کیا خیمے میں کوئی ہے تو بولو کہ نہیں، کوئی نہیں ہے۔“

Then Jael Heber's wife took a nail of the tent, and took an hammer in her hand, and went softly unto him, and smote the nail into his temples, and fastened it into the ground: for he was fast asleep and weary. So he died.

یہ کہہ کر سیسرا گہری نیند سو گیا، کیونکہ وہ نہایت تھکا ہوا تھا۔ تب یاعیل نے میخ اور ہتھوڑا پکڑ لیا اور دبے پاؤں سیسرا کے پاس جا کر میخ کو اِتنے زور سے اُس کی کنپٹی میں ٹھونک دیا کہ میخ زمین میں دھنس گئی اور وہ مر گیا۔

And, behold, as Barak pursued Sisera, Jael came out to meet him, and said unto him, Come, and I will shew thee the man whom thou seekest. And when he came into her tent, behold, Sisera lay dead, and the nail was in his temples.

کچھ دیر کے بعد برق سیسرا کے تعاقب میں وہاں سے گزرا۔ یاعیل خیمے سے نکل کر اُس سے ملنے آئی اور بولی، ”آئیں، مَیں آپ کو وہ آدمی دکھاتی ہوں جسے آپ ڈھونڈ رہے ہیں۔“ برق اُس کے ساتھ خیمے میں داخل ہوا تو کیا دیکھا کہ سیسرا کی لاش زمین پر پڑی ہے اور میخ اُس کی کنپٹی میں سے گزر کر زمین میں گڑ گئی ہے۔

So God subdued on that day Jabin the king of Canaan before the children of Israel.

اُس دن اللہ نے کنعانی بادشاہ یابین کو اسرائیلیوں کے سامنے زیر کر دیا۔

And the hand of the children of Israel prospered, and prevailed against Jabin the king of Canaan, until they had destroyed Jabin king of Canaan.

اِس کے بعد اُن کی طاقت بڑھتی گئی جبکہ یابین کمزور ہوتا گیا اور آخرکار اسرائیلیوں کے ہاتھوں تباہ ہو گیا۔
