Isaiah 45

Thus saith the LORD to his anointed, to Cyrus, whose right hand I have holden, to subdue nations before him; and I will loose the loins of kings, to open before him the two leaved gates; and the gates shall not be shut;

رب اپنے مسح کئے ہوئے خادم خورس سے فرماتا ہے، ”مَیں نے تیرے دہنے ہاتھ کو پکڑ لیا ہے، اِس لئے جہاں بھی تُو جائے وہاں قومیں تیرے تابع ہو جائیں گی، بادشاہوں کی طاقت جاتی رہے گی، دروازے کھل جائیں گے اور شہر کے دروازے بند نہیں رہیں گے۔

I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:

مَیں خود تیرے آگے آگے جا کر قلعہ بندیوں کو زمین بوس کر دوں گا۔ مَیں پیتل کے دروازے ٹکڑے ٹکڑے کر کے تمام کنڈے تڑوا دوں گا۔

And I will give thee the treasures of darkness, and hidden riches of secret places, that thou mayest know that I, the LORD, which call thee by thy name, am the God of Israel.

مَیں تجھے اندھیرے میں چھپے خزانے اور پوشیدہ مال و دولت عطا کروں گا تاکہ تُو جان لے کہ مَیں رب ہوں جو تیرا نام لے کر تجھے بُلاتا ہے، کہ مَیں اسرائیل کا خدا ہوں۔

For Jacob my servant's sake, and Israel mine elect, I have even called thee by thy name: I have surnamed thee, though thou hast not known me.

گو تُو مجھے نہیں جانتا تھا، لیکن اپنے خادم یعقوب کی خاطر مَیں نے تیرا نام لے کر تجھے بُلایا، اپنے برگزیدہ اسرائیل کے واسطے تجھے اعزازی نام سے نوازا ہے۔

I am the LORD, and there is none else, there is no God beside me: I girded thee, though thou hast not known me:

مَیں ہی رب ہوں، اور میرے سوا کوئی اَور خدا نہیں ہے۔ گو تُو مجھے نہیں جانتا تھا توبھی مَیں تجھے کمربستہ کرتا ہوں

That they may know from the rising of the sun, and from the west, that there is none beside me. I am the LORD, and there is none else.

تاکہ مشرق سے مغرب تک انسان جان لیں کہ میرے سوا کوئی اَور نہیں ہے۔ مَیں ہی رب ہوں، اور میرے سوا کوئی اَور نہیں ہے۔

I form the light, and create darkness: I make peace, and create evil: I the LORD do all these things.

مَیں ہی روشنی کو تشکیل دیتا اور اندھیرے کو وجود میں لاتا ہوں، مَیں ہی اچھے اور بُرے حالات پیدا کرتا، مَیں رب ہی یہ سب کچھ کرتا ہوں۔

Drop down, ye heavens, from above, and let the skies pour down righteousness: let the earth open, and let them bring forth salvation, and let righteousness spring up together; I the LORD have created it.

اے آسمان، راستی کی بوندا باندی سے زمین کو تر و تازہ کر! اے بادلو، صداقت برساؤ! زمین کھل کر نجات کا پھل لائے اور راستی کا پودا پھوٹنے دے۔ مَیں رب ہی اُسے وجود میں لایا ہوں۔“

Woe unto him that striveth with his Maker! Let the potsherd strive with the potsherds of the earth. Shall the clay say to him that fashioneth it, What makest thou? or thy work, He hath no hands?

اُس پر افسوس جو اپنے خالق سے جھگڑا کرتا ہے، گو وہ مٹی کے ٹوٹے پھوٹے برتنوں کا ٹھیکرا ہی ہے۔ کیا گارا کمہار سے پوچھتا ہے، ”تُو کیا بنا رہا ہے؟“ کیا تیری بنائی ہوئی کوئی چیز تیرے بارے میں شکایت کرتی ہے، ”اُس کی کوئی طاقت نہیں“؟

Woe unto him that saith unto his father, What begettest thou? or to the woman, What hast thou brought forth?

اُس پر افسوس جو باپ سے سوال کرے، ”تُو کیوں باپ بن رہا ہے؟“ یا عورت سے، ”تُو کیوں بچہ جنم دے رہی ہے؟“

Thus saith the LORD, the Holy One of Israel, and his Maker, Ask me of things to come concerning my sons, and concerning the work of my hands command ye me.

رب جو اسرائیل کا قدوس اور اُسے تشکیل دینے والا ہے فرماتا ہے، ”تم کس طرح میرے بچوں کے بارے میں میری پوچھ گچھ کر سکتے ہو؟ جو کچھ میرے ہاتھوں نے بنایا اُس کے بارے میں تم کیسے مجھے حکم دے سکتے ہو؟

I have made the earth, and created man upon it: I, even my hands, have stretched out the heavens, and all their host have I commanded.

مَیں ہی نے زمین کو بنا کر انسان کو اُس پر خلق کیا۔ میرے اپنے ہاتھوں نے آسمان کو خیمے کی طرح اُس کے اوپر تان لیا اور مَیں ہی نے اُس کے ستاروں کے پورے لشکر کو ترتیب دیا۔

I have raised him up in righteousness, and I will direct all his ways: he shall build my city, and he shall let go my captives, not for price nor reward, saith the LORD of hosts.

مَیں ہی نے خورس کو انصاف سے جگا دیا، اور مَیں ہی اُس کے تمام راستے سیدھے بنا دیتا ہوں۔ وہ میرے شہر کو نئے سرے سے تعمیر کرے گا اور میرے جلاوطنوں کو آزاد کرے گا۔ اور یہ سب کچھ مفت میں ہو گا، نہ وہ پیسے لے گا، نہ تحفے۔“ یہ رب الافواج کا فرمان ہے۔

Thus saith the LORD, The labour of Egypt, and merchandise of Ethiopia and of the Sabeans, men of stature, shall come over unto thee, and they shall be thine: they shall come after thee; in chains they shall come over, and they shall fall down unto thee, they shall make supplication unto thee, saying, Surely God is in thee; and there is none else, there is no God.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”مصر کی دولت، ایتھوپیا کا تجارتی مال اور سِبا کے درازقد افراد تیرے ماتحت ہو کر تیری ملکیت بن جائیں گے۔ وہ تیرے پیچھے چلیں گے، زنجیروں میں جکڑے تیرے تابع ہو جائیں گے۔ تیرے سامنے جھک کر وہ التماس کر کے کہیں گے، ’یقیناً اللہ تیرے ساتھ ہے۔ اُس کے سوا کوئی اَور خدا ہے نہیں‘۔“

Verily thou art a God that hidest thyself, O God of Israel, the Saviour.

اے اسرائیل کے خدا اور نجات دہندہ، یقیناً تُو اپنے آپ کو چھپائے رکھنے والا خدا ہے۔

They shall be ashamed, and also confounded, all of them: they shall go to confusion together that are makers of idols.

بُت بنانے والے سب شرمندہ ہو جائیں گے۔ اُن کے منہ کالے ہو جائیں گے، اور وہ مل کر شرم سار حالت میں چلے جائیں گے۔

But Israel shall be saved in the LORD with an everlasting salvation: ye shall not be ashamed nor confounded world without end.

لیکن اسرائیل کو چھٹکارا ملے گا، رب اُسے ابدی نجات دے گا۔ تب تمہاری رُسوائی کبھی نہیں ہو گی، تم ہمیشہ تک شرمندہ ہونے سے محفوظ رہو گے۔

For thus saith the LORD that created the heavens; God himself that formed the earth and made it; he hath established it, he created it not in vain, he formed it to be inhabited: I am the LORD; and there is none else.

کیونکہ رب فرماتا ہے، ”مَیں ہی رب ہوں، اور میرے سوا کوئی اَور نہیں ہے! جو یہ فرماتا ہے وہ خدا ہے، جس نے آسمان کو خلق کیا اور زمین کو تشکیل دے کر محفوظ بنیاد پر رکھا۔ اور زمین سنسان بیابان نہ رہی بلکہ اُس نے اُسے بسنے کے قابل بنا دیا تاکہ جاندار اُس میں رہ سکیں۔

I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth: I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye me in vain: I the LORD speak righteousness, I declare things that are right.

مَیں نے پوشیدگی میں یا دنیا کے کسی تاریک کونے سے بات نہیں کی۔ مَیں نے یعقوب کی اولاد سے یہ بھی نہیں کہا، ’بےشک مجھے تلاش کرو، لیکن تم مجھے نہیں پاؤ گے۔‘ نہیں، مَیں رب ہی ہوں، جو انصاف بیان کرتا، سچائی کا اعلان کرتا ہے۔

Assemble yourselves and come; draw near together, ye that are escaped of the nations: they have no knowledge that set up the wood of their graven image, and pray unto a god that cannot save.

تم جو دیگر اقوام سے بچ نکلے ہو آؤ، جمع ہو جاؤ۔ مل کر میرے حضور حاضر ہو جاؤ! جو لکڑی کے بُت اُٹھا کر اپنے ساتھ لئے پھرتے ہیں وہ کچھ نہیں جانتے! جو دیوتا چھٹکارا نہیں دے سکتے اُن سے وہ کیوں التجا کرتے ہیں؟

Tell ye, and bring them near; yea, let them take counsel together: who hath declared this from ancient time? who hath told it from that time? have not I the LORD? and there is no God else beside me; a just God and a Saviour; there is none beside me.

آؤ، اپنا معاملہ سناؤ، اپنے دلائل پیش کرو! بےشک پہلے ایک دوسرے سے مشورہ کرو۔ کس نے بڑی دیر پہلے یہ کچھ سنایا تھا؟ کیا مَیں، رب نے طویل عرصہ پہلے اِس کا اعلان نہیں کیا تھا؟ کیونکہ میرے سوا کوئی اَور خدا نہیں ہے۔ مَیں راست خدا اور نجات دہندہ ہوں۔ میرے سوا کوئی اَور نہیں ہے۔

Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else.

اے زمین کی انتہاؤ، سب میری طرف رجوع کر کے نجات پاؤ! کیونکہ مَیں ہی خدا ہوں، میرے سوا کوئی اَور نہیں ہے۔

I have sworn by myself, the word is gone out of my mouth in righteousness, and shall not return, That unto me every knee shall bow, every tongue shall swear.

مَیں نے اپنے نام کی قَسم کھا کر فرمایا ہے، اور میرا فرمان راست ہے، وہ کبھی منسوخ نہیں ہو گا۔ فرمان یہ ہے کہ میرے سامنے ہر گھٹنا جھکے گا اور ہر زبان میری قَسم کھا کر

Surely, shall one say, in the LORD have I righteousness and strength: even to him shall men come; and all that are incensed against him shall be ashamed.

کہے گی، ’رب ہی راستی اور قوت کا منبع ہے‘!“ جو پہلے طیش میں آ کر رب کی مخالفت کرتے تھے وہ بھی سب شرمندہ ہو کر اُس کے حضور آئیں گے۔

In the LORD shall all the seed of Israel be justified, and shall glory.

لیکن اسرائیل کی تمام اولاد رب میں راست باز ٹھہر کر اُس پر فخر کرے گی۔
