Isaiah 19

The burden of Egypt. Behold, the LORD rideth upon a swift cloud, and shall come into Egypt: and the idols of Egypt shall be moved at his presence, and the heart of Egypt shall melt in the midst of it.

مصر کے بارے میں اللہ کا فرمان: رب تیز رَو بادل پر سوار ہو کر مصر آ رہا ہے۔ اُس کے سامنے مصر کے بُت تھرتھرا رہے ہیں اور مصر کی ہمت ٹوٹ گئی ہے۔

And I will set the Egyptians against the Egyptians: and they shall fight every one against his brother, and every one against his neighbour; city against city, and kingdom against kingdom.

”مَیں مصریوں کو ایک دوسرے کے ساتھ لڑنے پر اُکسا دوں گا۔ بھائی بھائی کے ساتھ، پڑوسی پڑوسی کے ساتھ، شہر شہر کے ساتھ، اور بادشاہی بادشاہی کے ساتھ جنگ کرے گی۔

And the spirit of Egypt shall fail in the midst thereof; and I will destroy the counsel thereof: and they shall seek to the idols, and to the charmers, and to them that have familiar spirits, and to the wizards.

مصر کی روح مضطرب ہو جائے گی، اور مَیں اُن کے منصوبوں کو درہم برہم کر دوں گا۔ گو وہ بُتوں، مُردوں کی روحوں، اُن سے رابطہ کرنے والوں اور قسمت کا حال بتانے والوں سے مشورہ کریں گے،

And the Egyptians will I give over into the hand of a cruel lord; and a fierce king shall rule over them, saith the Lord, the LORD of hosts.

لیکن مَیں اُنہیں ایک ظالم مالک کے حوالے کر دوں گا، اور ایک سخت بادشاہ اُن پر حکومت کرے گا۔“ یہ ہے قادرِ مطلق رب الافواج کا فرمان۔

And the waters shall fail from the sea, and the river shall be wasted and dried up.

دریائے نیل کا پانی ختم ہو جائے گا، وہ بالکل سوکھ جائے گا۔

And they shall turn the rivers far away; and the brooks of defence shall be emptied and dried up: the reeds and flags shall wither.

مصر کی نہروں سے بدبو پھیلے گی بلکہ مصر کے نالے گھٹتے گھٹتے خشک ہو جائیں گے۔ نرسل اور سرکنڈے مُرجھا جائیں گے۔

The paper reeds by the brooks, by the mouth of the brooks, and every thing sown by the brooks, shall wither, be driven away, and be no more.

دریائے نیل کے دہانے تک جتنی بھی ہریالی اور فصلیں کنارے پر اُگتی ہیں وہ سب پژمُردہ ہو جائیں گی اور ہَوا میں بکھر کر غائب ہو جائیں گی۔

The fishers also shall mourn, and all they that cast angle into the brooks shall lament, and they that spread nets upon the waters shall languish.

مچھیرے آہ و زاری کریں گے، دریا میں کانٹا اور جال ڈالنے والے گھٹتے جائیں گے۔

Moreover they that work in fine flax, and they that weave networks, shall be confounded.

سَن کے ریشوں سے دھاگا بنانے والوں کو شرم آئے گی، اور جولاہوں کا رنگ فق پڑ جائے گا۔

And they shall be broken in the purposes thereof, all that make sluices and ponds for fish.

کپڑا بنانے والے سخت مایوس ہوں گے، تمام مزدور دل برداشتہ ہوں گے۔

Surely the princes of Zoan are fools, the counsel of the wise counsellors of Pharaoh is become brutish: how say ye unto Pharaoh, I am the son of the wise, the son of ancient kings?

ضُعن کے افسر ناسمجھ ہی ہیں، فرعون کے دانا مشیر اُسے احمق مشورے دے رہے ہیں۔ تم مصری بادشاہ کے سامنے کس طرح دعویٰ کر سکتے ہو، ”مَیں دانش مندوں کے حلقے میں شامل اور قدیم بادشاہوں کا وارث ہوں“؟

Where are they? where are thy wise men? and let them tell thee now, and let them know what the LORD of hosts hath purposed upon Egypt.

اے فرعون، اب تیرے دانش مند کہاں ہیں؟ وہ معلوم کر کے تجھے بتائیں کہ رب الافواج مصر کے ساتھ کیا کچھ کرنے کا ارادہ رکھتا ہے۔

The princes of Zoan are become fools, the princes of Noph are deceived; they have also seduced Egypt, even they that are the stay of the tribes thereof.

ضُعن کے افسر احمق بن بیٹھے ہیں، میمفِس کے بزرگوں نے دھوکا کھایا ہے۔ اُس کے قبائلی سرداروں کے فریب سے مصر ڈگمگانے لگا ہے۔

The LORD hath mingled a perverse spirit in the midst thereof: and they have caused Egypt to err in every work thereof, as a drunken man staggereth in his vomit.

کیونکہ رب نے اُن میں ابتری کی روح ڈال دی ہے۔ جس طرح نشے میں دُھت شرابی اپنی قَے میں لڑکھڑاتا رہتا ہے اُسی طرح مصر اُن کے مشوروں سے ڈانواں ڈول ہو گیا ہے، خواہ وہ کیا کچھ کیوں نہ کرے۔

Neither shall there be any work for Egypt, which the head or tail, branch or rush, may do.

اُس کی کوئی بات نہیں بنتی، خواہ سر ہو یا دُم، کونپل ہو یا تنا۔

In that day shall Egypt be like unto women: and it shall be afraid and fear because of the shaking of the hand of the LORD of hosts, which he shaketh over it.

مصری اُس دن عورتوں جیسے کمزور ہوں گے۔ جب رب الافواج اُنہیں مارنے کے لئے اپنا ہاتھ اُٹھائے گا تو وہ گھبرا کر کانپ اُٹھیں گے۔

And the land of Judah shall be a terror unto Egypt, every one that maketh mention thereof shall be afraid in himself, because of the counsel of the LORD of hosts, which he hath determined against it.

ملکِ یہوداہ مصریوں کے لئے شرم کا باعث بنے گا۔ جب بھی اُس کا ذکر ہو گا تو وہ دہشت کھائیں گے، کیونکہ اُنہیں وہ منصوبہ یاد آئے گا جو رب نے اُن کے خلاف باندھا ہے۔

In that day shall five cities in the land of Egypt speak the language of Canaan, and swear to the LORD of hosts; one shall be called, The city of destruction.

اُس دن مصر کے پانچ شہر کنعان کی زبان اپنا کر رب الافواج کے نام پر قَسم کھائیں گے۔ اُن میں سے ایک ’تباہی کا شہر‘ کہلائے گا ۔

In that day shall there be an altar to the LORD in the midst of the land of Egypt, and a pillar at the border thereof to the LORD.

اُس دن ملکِ مصر کے بیچ میں رب کے لئے قربان گاہ مخصوص کی جائے گی، اور اُس کی سرحد پر رب کی یاد میں ستون کھڑا کیا جائے گا۔

And it shall be for a sign and for a witness unto the LORD of hosts in the land of Egypt: for they shall cry unto the LORD because of the oppressors, and he shall send them a saviour, and a great one, and he shall deliver them.

یہ دونوں رب الافواج کی حضوری کی نشان دہی کریں گے اور گواہی دیں گے کہ وہ موجود ہے۔ چنانچہ جب اُن پر ظلم کیا جائے گا تو وہ چلّا کر اُس سے فریاد کریں گے، اور رب اُن کے پاس نجات دہندہ بھیج دے گا جو اُن کی خاطر لڑ کر اُنہیں بچائے گا۔

And the LORD shall be known to Egypt, and the Egyptians shall know the LORD in that day, and shall do sacrifice and oblation; yea, they shall vow a vow unto the LORD, and perform it.

یوں رب اپنے آپ کو مصریوں پر ظاہر کرے گا۔ اُس دن وہ رب کو جان لیں گے، اور ذبح اور غلہ کی قربانیاں چڑھا کر اُس کی پرستش کریں گے۔ وہ رب کے لئے مَنتیں مان کر اُن کو پورا کریں گے۔

And the LORD shall smite Egypt: he shall smite and heal it: and they shall return even to the LORD, and he shall be intreated of them, and shall heal them.

رب مصر کو مارے گا بھی اور اُسے شفا بھی دے گا۔ مصری رب کی طرف رجوع کریں گے تو وہ اُن کی التجاؤں کے جواب میں اُنہیں شفا دے گا۔

In that day shall there be a highway out of Egypt to Assyria, and the Assyrian shall come into Egypt, and the Egyptian into Assyria, and the Egyptians shall serve with the Assyrians.

اُس دن ایک پکی سڑک مصر کو اسور کے ساتھ منسلک کر دے گی۔ اسوری اور مصری آزادی سے ایک دوسرے کے ملک میں آئیں گے، اور دونوں مل کر اللہ کی عبادت کریں گے۔

In that day shall Israel be the third with Egypt and with Assyria, even a blessing in the midst of the land:

اُس دن اسرائیل بھی مصر اور اسور کے اتحاد میں شریک ہو کر تمام دنیا کے لئے برکت کا باعث ہو گا۔

Whom the LORD of hosts shall bless, saying, Blessed be Egypt my people, and Assyria the work of my hands, and Israel mine inheritance.

کیونکہ رب الافواج اُنہیں برکت دے کر فرمائے گا، ”میری قوم مصر پر برکت ہو، میرے ہاتھوں سے بنے ملک اسور پر میری برکت ہو، میری میراث اسرائیل پر برکت ہو۔“
