Isaiah 13

The burden of Babylon, which Isaiah the son of Amoz did see.

درجِ ذیل بابل کے بارے میں وہ اعلان ہے جو یسعیاہ بن آموص نے رویا میں دیکھا۔

Lift ye up a banner upon the high mountain, exalt the voice unto them, shake the hand, that they may go into the gates of the nobles.

ننگے پہاڑ پر جھنڈا گاڑ دو۔ اُنہیں بلند آواز دو، ہاتھ ہلا کر اُنہیں شرفا کے دروازوں میں داخل ہونے کا حکم دو۔

I have commanded my sanctified ones, I have also called my mighty ones for mine anger, even them that rejoice in my highness.

مَیں نے اپنے مُقدّسین کو کام پر لگا دیا ہے، مَیں نے اپنے سورماؤں کو جو میری عظمت کی خوشی مناتے ہیں بُلا لیا ہے تاکہ میرے غضب کا آلۂ کار بنیں۔

The noise of a multitude in the mountains, like as of a great people; a tumultuous noise of the kingdoms of nations gathered together: the LORD of hosts mustereth the host of the battle.

سنو! پہاڑوں پر بڑے ہجوم کا شور مچ رہا ہے۔ سنو! متعدد ممالک اور جمع ہونے والی قوموں کا غل غپاڑا سنائی دے رہا ہے۔ رب الافواج جنگ کے لئے فوج جمع کر رہا ہے۔

They come from a far country, from the end of heaven, even the LORD, and the weapons of his indignation, to destroy the whole land.

اُس کے فوجی دُوردراز علاقوں بلکہ آسمان کی انتہا سے آ رہے ہیں۔ کیونکہ رب اپنے غضب کے آلات کے ساتھ آ رہا ہے تاکہ تمام ملک کو برباد کر دے۔

Howl ye; for the day of the LORD is at hand; it shall come as a destruction from the Almighty.

واویلا کرو، کیونکہ رب کا دن قریب ہی ہے، وہ دن جب قادرِ مطلق کی طرف سے تباہی مچے گی۔

Therefore shall all hands be faint, and every man's heart shall melt:

تب تمام ہاتھ بےحس و حرکت ہو جائیں گے، اور ہر ایک کا دل ہمت ہار دے گا۔

And they shall be afraid: pangs and sorrows shall take hold of them; they shall be in pain as a woman that travaileth: they shall be amazed one at another; their faces shall be as flames.

دہشت اُن پر چھا جائے گی، اور وہ جاں کنی اور دردِ زہ کی سی گرفت میں آ کر جنم دینے والی عورت کی طرح تڑپیں گے۔ ایک دوسرے کو ڈر کے مارے گھور گھور کر اُن کے چہرے آگ کی طرح تمتما رہے ہوں گے۔

Behold, the day of the LORD cometh, cruel both with wrath and fierce anger, to lay the land desolate: and he shall destroy the sinners thereof out of it.

دیکھو، رب کا بےرحم دن آ رہا ہے جب اُس کا قہر اور شدید غضب نازل ہو گا۔ اُس وقت ملک تباہ ہو جائے گا اور گناہ گار کو اُس میں سے مٹا دیا جائے گا۔

For the stars of heaven and the constellations thereof shall not give their light: the sun shall be darkened in his going forth, and the moon shall not cause her light to shine.

آسمان کے ستارے اور اُن کے جھرمٹ نہیں چمکیں گے، سورج طلوع ہوتے وقت تاریک ہی رہے گا، اور چاند کی روشنی ختم ہو گی۔

And I will punish the world for their evil, and the wicked for their iniquity; and I will cause the arrogancy of the proud to cease, and will lay low the haughtiness of the terrible.

مَیں دنیا کو اُس کی بدکاری کا اجر اور بےدینوں کو اُن کے گناہوں کی سزا دوں گا، مَیں شوخوں کا گھمنڈ ختم کر دوں گا اور ظالموں کا غرور خاک میں ملا دوں گا۔

I will make a man more precious than fine gold; even a man than the golden wedge of Ophir.

لوگ خالص سونے سے کہیں زیادہ نایاب ہوں گے، انسان اوفیر کے قیمتی سونے کی نسبت کہیں زیادہ کم یاب ہو گا۔

Therefore I will shake the heavens, and the earth shall remove out of her place, in the wrath of the LORD of hosts, and in the day of his fierce anger.

کیونکہ آسمان رب الافواج کے قہر کے سامنے کانپ اُٹھے گا، اُس کے شدید غضب کے نازل ہونے پر زمین لرز کر اپنی جگہ سے کھسک جائے گی۔

And it shall be as the chased roe, and as a sheep that no man taketh up: they shall every man turn to his own people, and flee every one into his own land.

بابل کے تمام باشندے شکاری کے سامنے دوڑنے والے غزال اور چرواہے سے محروم بھیڑبکریوں کی طرح اِدھر اُدھر بھاگ کر اپنے ملک اور اپنی قوم میں واپس آنے کی کوشش کریں گے۔

Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined unto them shall fall by the sword.

جو بھی دشمن کے قابو میں آئے گا اُسے چھیدا جائے گا، جسے بھی پکڑا جائے گا اُسے تلوار سے مارا جائے گا۔

Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished.

اُن کے دیکھتے دیکھتے دشمن اُن کے بچوں کو زمین پر پٹخ دے گا اور اُن کے گھروں کو لُوٹ کر اُن کی عورتوں کی عصمت دری کرے گا۔

Behold, I will stir up the Medes against them, which shall not regard silver; and as for gold, they shall not delight in it.

مَیں مادیوں کو اُن پر چڑھا لاؤں گا، ایسے لوگوں کو جنہیں رشوت سے نہیں آزمایا جا سکتا، جو سونے چاندی کی پروا ہی نہیں کرتے۔

Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eye shall not spare children.

اُن کے تیر نوجوانوں کو مار دیں گے۔ نہ وہ شیرخواروں پر ترس کھائیں گے، نہ بچوں پر رحم کریں گے۔

And Babylon, the glory of kingdoms, the beauty of the Chaldees' excellency, shall be as when God overthrew Sodom and Gomorrah.

اللہ بابل کو جو تمام ممالک کا تاج اور بابلیوں کا خاص فخر ہے رُوئے زمین پر سے مٹا ڈالے گا۔ اُس دن وہ سدوم اور عمورہ کی طرح تباہ ہو جائے گا۔

It shall never be inhabited, neither shall it be dwelt in from generation to generation: neither shall the Arabian pitch tent there; neither shall the shepherds make their fold there.

آئندہ اُسے کبھی دوبارہ بسایا نہیں جائے گا، نسل در نسل وہ ویران ہی رہے گا۔ نہ بَدُو اپنا تنبو وہاں لگائے گا، اور نہ گلہ بان اپنے ریوڑ اُس میں ٹھہرائے گا۔

But wild beasts of the desert shall lie there; and their houses shall be full of doleful creatures; and owls shall dwell there, and satyrs shall dance there.

صرف ریگستان کے جانور کھنڈرات میں جا بسیں گے۔ شہر کے گھر اُن کی آوازوں سے گونج اُٹھیں گے، عقابی اُلّو وہاں ٹھہریں گے، اور بکرانما جِنّ اُس میں رقص کریں گے۔

And the wild beasts of the islands shall cry in their desolate houses, and dragons in their pleasant palaces: and her time is near to come, and her days shall not be prolonged.

جنگلی کُتے اُس کے محلوں میں روئیں گے، اور گیدڑ عیش و عشرت کے قصروں میں اپنی درد بھری آوازیں نکالیں گے۔ بابل کا خاتمہ قریب ہی ہے، اب دیر نہیں لگے گی۔
