Job 25

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

Da tok Bildad fra Suah til orde og sa:

Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

Hos ham er herskermakt og redsel; han skaper fred i sine høie himler.

Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

Er det tall på hans skarer? Og hvem overstråles ikke av hans lys?

How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

Hvorledes skulde da et menneske være rettferdig for Gud eller en som er født av en kvinne, være ren?

Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

Selv månen skinner ikke klart, og stjernene er ikke rene i hans øine,

How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

hvor meget mindre da mennesket, den makk, menneskebarnet, det kryp som det er.
