Psalms 126

When the LORD turned again the captivity of Zion, we were like them that dream.

Canto dei pellegrinaggi. Quando l’Eterno fece tornare i reduci di Sion, ci pareva di sognare.

Then was our mouth filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing: then said they among the heathen, The LORD hath done great things for them.

Allora la nostra bocca fu piena di sorrisi, e la nostra lingua di canti d’allegrezza. Allora fu detto fra le nazioni: L’Eterno ha fatto cose grandi per loro.

The LORD hath done great things for us; whereof we are glad.

L’Eterno ha fatto cose grandi per noi, e noi siamo nella gioia.

Turn again our captivity, O LORD, as the streams in the south.

O Eterno, fa tornare i nostri che sono in cattività, come tornano i rivi nella terra del Mezzodì.

They that sow in tears shall reap in joy.

Quelli che seminano con lagrime, mieteranno con canti di gioia.

He that goeth forth and weepeth, bearing precious seed, shall doubtless come again with rejoicing, bringing his sheaves with him.

Ben va piangendo colui che porta il seme da spargere, ma tornerà con canti di gioia quando porterà i suoi covoni.
