Psalms 112

Praise ye the LORD. Blessed is the man that feareth the LORD, that delighteth greatly in his commandments.

Dicsérjétek az Urat. Boldog az ember, a ki féli az Urat, *és* az ő parancsolataiban igen gyönyörködik.

His seed shall be mighty upon earth: the generation of the upright shall be blessed.

Hős lesz annak magva a földön; a hívek nemzedéke megáldatik.

Wealth and riches shall be in his house: and his righteousness endureth for ever.

Gazdagság és bőség lesz annak házában, s igazsága mindvégig megmarad.

Unto the upright there ariseth light in the darkness: he is gracious, and full of compassion, and righteous.

Az igazakra világosság fénylik a sötétben: *attól a ki* irgalmas, kegyelmes és igaz.

A good man sheweth favour, and lendeth: he will guide his affairs with discretion.

Jó annak az embernek, a ki könyörül és kölcsön ad; dolgait pedig igazán végezi.

Surely he shall not be moved for ever: the righteous shall be in everlasting remembrance.

Mivelhogy soha sem ingadoz: örök emlékezetben lesz az igaz.

He shall not be afraid of evil tidings: his heart is fixed, trusting in the LORD.

Semmi rossz hírtől nem fél; szíve erős, az Úrban bizakodó.

His heart is established, he shall not be afraid, until he see his desire upon his enemies.

Rendületlen az ő szíve; nem fél, míglen ellenségeire lenéz.

He hath dispersed, he hath given to the poor; his righteousness endureth for ever; his horn shall be exalted with honour.

Osztogat, adakozik a szegényeknek; igazsága megmarad mindvégig; az ő szarva felemeltetik dicsőséggel.

The wicked shall see it, and be grieved; he shall gnash with his teeth, and melt away: the desire of the wicked shall perish.

Látja *ezt* a gonosz és dühöng; fogait csikorgatja és eleped; a gonoszok kivánsága semmivé lesz.
