Job 25

Then answered Bildad the Shuhite, and said,

آنگاه بلدد شوحی جواب داد:

Dominion and fear are with him, he maketh peace in his high places.

«سلطنت و هیبت از آن خداست و او صلح را در آسمانها برقرار می‌کند.

Is there any number of his armies? and upon whom doth not his light arise?

کسی نمی‌تواند شمارهٔ فرشتگانی را که در خدمت او هستند، بداند. نور خدا بر همه‌کس و در همه‌جا می‌تابد.

How then can man be justified with God? or how can he be clean that is born of a woman?

آیا انسان فانی می‌تواند در نظر خدا پاک و بی‌عیب باشد؟

Behold even to the moon, and it shineth not; yea, the stars are not pure in his sight.

حتّی مهتاب و ستارگان در نظر او درخشنده و پاک نیستند،

How much less man, that is a worm? and the son of man, which is a worm?

چه رسد به انسان خاکی که کِرمی بیش نیست. زندگی انسان چه ارزشی در نظر خدا دارد؟»
