Genesis 46

And Israel took his journey with all that he had, and came to Beer–sheba, and offered sacrifices unto the God of his father Isaac.

یعقوب ‌هرچه ‌داشت‌ جمع ‌كرد و به ‌بئرشبع‌ رفت‌. و در آنجا برای خدای پدرش ‌اسحاق‌ قربانی‌ها گذرانید.

And God spake unto Israel in the visions of the night, and said, Jacob, Jacob. And he said, Here am I.

در شب ‌خدا در رؤیا به ‌او ظاهر شد و فرمود: «یعقوب‌، یعقوب‌،» او جواب ‌داد: «بلی‌، ای خداوند.»

And he said, I am God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:

خداوند فرمود: «من‌ خدا هستم‌. خدای پدرت‌. از رفتن ‌به ‌مصر نترس‌. زیرا من ‌در آنجا از تو قومی بزرگ به وجود خواهم‌ آورد.

I will go down with thee into Egypt; and I will also surely bring thee up again: and Joseph shall put his hand upon thine eyes.

من ‌با تو به ‌مصر خواهم‌ آمد و از آنجا تو را به ‌این‌ زمین ‌برمی‌گردانم‌. موقع‌ مردنت‌ یوسف‌ پیش ‌تو خواهد بود.»

And Jacob rose up from Beer–sheba: and the sons of Israel carried Jacob their father, and their little ones, and their wives, in the wagons which Pharaoh had sent to carry him.

یعقوب ‌از بئرشبع ‌حركت ‌كرد. پسرانش‌ او و بچّه‌های كوچک‌ و زنان ‌خود را در گاری‌هایی كه‌ فرعون‌ فرستاده ‌بود، سوار كردند.

And they took their cattle, and their goods, which they had gotten in the land of Canaan, and came into Egypt, Jacob, and all his seed with him:

آنها گلّه‌ها و تمام‌ اموالی را كه‌ در كنعان ‌به دست‌ آورده ‌بودند برداشته ‌و به ‌مصر رفتند. یعقوب‌ تمام ‌خانواده‌اش‌

His sons, and his sons' sons with him, his daughters, and his sons' daughters, and all his seed brought he with him into Egypt.

یعنی پسران‌، دختران و نوه‌هایش ‌را هم‌ با خود به ‌مصر برد.

And these are the names of the children of Israel, which came into Egypt, Jacob and his sons: Reuben, Jacob's firstborn.

نام‌ کسانی‌که ‌با یعقوب ‌به‌ مصر رفتند از این ‌قرار است‌: پسر بزرگ‌ یعقوب‌، رئوبین‌

And the sons of Reuben; Hanoch, and Phallu, and Hezron, and Carmi.

و پسران ‌رئوبین‌، حنوک، فلو، حسرون ‌و كارمی

And the sons of Simeon; Jemuel, and Jamin, and Ohad, and Jachin, and Zohar, and Shaul the son of a Canaanitish woman.

و شمعون ‌و پسرانش‌: یموئیل‌، یامین‌، اوهد، یاكین‌، صوحر و شاول پسر زن‌ كنعانی‌.

And the sons of Levi; Gershon, Kohath, and Merari.

لاوی و پسرانش‌: جرشون‌، قهات‌ و مراری

And the sons of Judah; Er, and Onan, and Shelah, and Pharez, and Zerah: but Er and Onan died in the land of Canaan. And the sons of Pharez were Hezron and Hamul.

یهودا و پسرانش‌: شیله‌، فارص ‌و زارح‌ (عیر و اونان‌ پسران ‌دیگر یهودا در كنعان ‌مردند.) پسران ‌فارص‌ كه ‌عبارت ‌بودند از: حصرون ‌و حامول‌.

And the sons of Issachar; Tola, and Phuvah, and Job, and Shimron.

یساكار و پسرانش‌: تولاع‌، فُوَه‌، یوب‌ و شمرون‌.

And the sons of Zebulun; Sered, and Elon, and Jahleel.

زبولون ‌و پسرانش‌ سارد، ایلون ‌و یا حلیئیل‌.

These be the sons of Leah, which she bare unto Jacob in Padan–aram, with his daughter Dinah: all the souls of his sons and his daughters were thirty and three.

اینها پسرانی هستند كه ‌لیه ‌علاوه ‌بر دخترش ‌دینه‌، برای یعقوب‌ در فدان ‌اَرام‌ به دنیا آورد و تعدادشان ‌سی و سه ‌نفر بود.

And the sons of Gad; Ziphion, and Haggi, Shuni, and Ezbon, Eri, and Arodi, and Areli.

همراه‌ اینها جاد و پسران ‌او یعنی صفیون‌، حجی‌، شونی‌، اصبون‌، عبی‌، ارودی و ارئیلی بودند.

And the sons of Asher; Jimnah, and Ishuah, and Isui, and Beriah, and Serah their sister: and the sons of Beriah; Heber, and Malchiel.

همچنین‌ اشخاص ‌ذیل‌ هم‌ در جمع‌ آنها بودند: پسران ‌اشیر: یمنه‌، یشوه‌، یشوی‌، بریعه ‌و خواهرشان‌ سارح‌. پسران‌ بریعه‌: حابر و ملكیئیل‌.

These are the sons of Zilpah, whom Laban gave to Leah his daughter, and these she bare unto Jacob, even sixteen souls.

شانزده ‌پسر زلفه‌، كنیزی كه ‌لابان ‌به‌ دختر خود، لیه ‌داد.

The sons of Rachel Jacob's wife; Joseph, and Benjamin.

دو پسر راحیل ‌زن‌ یعقوب ‌یوسف ‌و بنیامین‌.

And unto Joseph in the land of Egypt were born Manasseh and Ephraim, which Asenath the daughter of Poti–pherah priest of On bare unto him.

پسران‌ یوسف‌، منسی و افرایم‌ كه‌ اسنات‌ دختر فوطی فارع‌، كاهن ‌اون‌، برای یوسف‌ در سرزمین ‌مصر به دنیا آورد.

And the sons of Benjamin were Belah, and Becher, and Ashbel, Gera, and Naaman, Ehi, and Rosh, Muppim, and Huppim, and Ard.

پسران ‌بنیامین‌: بالع‌، باكر، اشبیل‌، جیرا، نعمان‌، ایحی‌، رش‌، مفیم‌، حفیم‌ و آرد.

These are the sons of Rachel, which were born to Jacob: all the souls were fourteen.

این چهارده نفر پسران‌ و نوادگان راحیل ‌و یعقوب ‌بودند.

And the sons of Dan; Hushim.

پسر دان‌: حوشیم‌.

And the sons of Naphtali; Jahzeel, and Guni, and Jezer, and Shillem.

پسران ‌نفتالی‌: یحصیئیل‌، جونی‌، یصر و شلیم‌.

These are the sons of Bilhah, which Laban gave unto Rachel his daughter, and she bare these unto Jacob: all the souls were seven.

اینها پسران‌ بلهه‌، كنیزی كه ‌لابان ‌به ‌دختر خود راحیل ‌داد و او برای یعقوب ‌به دنیا آورد تعدادشان ‌هفت‌ نفر بود.

All the souls that came with Jacob into Egypt, which came out of his loins, besides Jacob's sons' wives, all the souls were threescore and six;

تعداد فرزندان‌ یعقوب‌-به ‌غیراز پسران و زنهای آنها- كه ‌با او به ‌سرزمین‌ مصر رفتند شصت ‌و شش‌ نفر بود.

And the sons of Joseph, which were born him in Egypt, were two souls: all the souls of the house of Jacob, which came into Egypt, were threescore and ten.

و با دو پسر یوسف‌ كه‌ در مصر متولّد شده ‌بودند مجموع‌ خانوادهٔ یعقوب ‌به‌ هفتاد می‌رسید.

And he sent Judah before him unto Joseph, to direct his face unto Goshen; and they came into the land of Goshen.

یعقوب‌ یهودا را پیش ‌از خود پیش ‌یوسف‌ فرستاد تا به ‌او خبر بدهد كه‌ پدرش ‌و خانوادهٔ او در راه ‌هستند و بزودی به‌ جوشن ‌می‌رسند.

And Joseph made ready his chariot, and went up to meet Israel his father, to Goshen, and presented himself unto him; and he fell on his neck, and wept on his neck a good while.

یوسف‌ ارابهٔ خود را حاضر كرد و به ‌جوشن ‌رفت ‌تا از پدرش ‌استقبال‌ كند. وقتی یكدیگر را دیدند، یوسف‌ دستهای خود را به‌ گردن ‌پدرش ‌انداخت ‌و مدّت‌ زیادی گریه کرد.

And Israel said unto Joseph, Now let me die, since I have seen thy face, because thou art yet alive.

یعقوب‌ به‌ یوسف ‌گفت‌: «حالا دیگر برای مردن‌ حاضرم‌، من ‌تو را دیدم‌ و یقین‌ دارم ‌كه‌ هنوز زنده‌ای‌.»

And Joseph said unto his brethren, and unto his father's house, I will go up, and shew Pharaoh, and say unto him, My brethren, and my father's house, which were in the land of Canaan, are come unto me;

سپس‌ یوسف ‌به ‌برادرانش ‌و سایر اعضای خانوادهٔ پدرش‌ گفت‌: «من ‌باید به ‌نزد فرعون ‌بروم ‌و به ‌او خبر بدهم‌ كه ‌برادرانم ‌و تمام‌ اهل‌ خانهٔ پدرم‌ كه ‌در كنعان ‌زندگی می‌كردند پیش ‌من ‌آمده‌اند.

And the men are shepherds, for their trade hath been to feed cattle; and they have brought their flocks, and their herds, and all that they have.

به ‌او خواهم‌ گفت‌ كه ‌شما چوپان‌ هستید و حیوانات ‌و گلّه‌ها و رمه‌های خود را با تمام ‌دارایی خود آورده‌اید.

And it shall come to pass, when Pharaoh shall call you, and shall say, What is your occupation?

وقتی فرعون ‌از شما بپرسد كه ‌كار شما چیست‌؟

That ye shall say, Thy servants' trade hath been about cattle from our youth even until now, both we, and also our fathers: that ye may dwell in the land of Goshen; for every shepherd is an abomination unto the Egyptians.

بگویید: 'ما از دوران‌ كودكی مانند اجدادمان‌ چوپان‌ بودیم‌ و از گلّه‌های خود مواظبت‌ می‌كنیم‌.' به ‌این ‌ترتیب ‌او به‌ شما اجازه ‌می‌دهد كه‌ در منطقهٔ جوشن ‌ساكن‌ شوید.» یوسف ‌این ‌را به‌خاطر این ‌گفت ‌كه‌ مصری‌ها چوپانان ‌را ناپاک‌ می‌دانستند.
