Colossians 4

Masters, give unto your servants that which is just and equal; knowing that ye also have a Master in heaven.

Páni spravedlivě a slušně s služebníky svými nakládejte, vědouce, že i vy Pána máte v nebesích.

Continue in prayer, and watch in the same with thanksgiving;

Na modlitbě buďtež ustaviční, bdíce v tom s díků činěním,

Withal praying also for us, that God would open unto us a door of utterance, to speak the mystery of Christ, for which I am also in bonds:

Modléce se spolu i za nás, aby Bůh otevřel nám dveře slova, k mluvení o tajemství Kristovu, pro něž i v vězení jsem,

That I may make it manifest, as I ought to speak.

Abych je zjevoval, tak jakž mi náleží mluviti.

Walk in wisdom toward them that are without, redeeming the time.

Choďtež v moudrosti před těmi, kteříž jsou vně, čas kupujíce.

Let your speech be alway with grace, seasoned with salt, that ye may know how ye ought to answer every man.

Řeč vaše vždycky budiž příjemná, ozdobená solí, tak abyste věděli, kterak byste měli jednomu každému odpovědíti.

All my state shall Tychicus declare unto you, who is a beloved brother, and a faithful minister and fellowservant in the Lord:

O věcech mých o všech oznámí vám Tychikus, bratr milý, a věrný slouha Kristův a spoluslužebník v Pánu;

Whom I have sent unto you for the same purpose, that he might know your estate, and comfort your hearts;

Kteréhož jsem poslal k vám naschvál, aby zvěděl, co se děje u vás, a potěšil srdcí vašich,

With Onesimus, a faithful and beloved brother, who is one of you. They shall make known unto you all things which are done here.

S Onezimem, věrným a milým bratrem, kterýž jest tam od vás. Tiť vám všecko oznámí, co se děje u nás.

Aristarchus my fellowprisoner saluteth you, and Marcus, sister's son to Barnabas, (touching whom ye received commandments: if he come unto you, receive him;)

Pozdravuje vás Aristarchus, spoluvězeň můj, a Marek, sestřenec Barnabášův, (o kterémž jsem vám poručil, přišel-li by k vám, přijmětež jej;)

And Jesus, which is called Justus, who are of the circumcision. These only are my fellowworkers unto the kingdom of God, which have been a comfort unto me.

A Jezus, kterýž slove Justus, kteřížto jsou Židé. Ti toliko jsou pomocníci moji v kázání o království Božím; tiť mi byli ku potěšení.

Epaphras, who is one of you, a servant of Christ, saluteth you, always labouring fervently for you in prayers, that ye may stand perfect and complete in all the will of God.

Pozdravuje vás Epafras, kterýž od vás jest, slouha Kristův, kterýž vždycky úsilně pracuje na modlitbách za vás, abyste stáli dokonalí a plní ve vší vůli Boží.

For I bear him record, that he hath a great zeal for you, and them that are in Laodicea, and them in Hierapolis.

Nebo svědectví jemu vydávám, žeť vás velmi horlivě miluje, a též i ty, kteříž jsou v Laodicii, i kteříž jsou v Hierapoli.

Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you.

Pozdravuje vás Lukáš, lékař, bratr milý, a Démas.

Salute the brethren which are in Laodicea, and Nymphas, and the church which is in his house.

Pozdravte bratří Laodicenských, i Nymfy, i té církve, kteráž jest v domu jeho.

And when this epistle is read among you, cause that it be read also in the church of the Laodiceans; and that ye likewise read the epistle from Laodicea.

A když bude přečten u vás tento list, spravtež to, ať jest i v Laodicenském sboru čten; a ten, kterýž jest psán z Laodicie, i vy také přečtěte,

And say to Archippus, Take heed to the ministry which thou hast received in the Lord, that thou fulfil it.

A rcete Archippovi: Viz, abys služebnost, kterouž jsi přijal od Pána, vyplnil.
