Judges 14

And Samson went down to Timnath, and saw a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines.

И Самсон слезе в Тамна и видя в Тамна една жена от дъщерите на филистимците.

And he came up, and told his father and his mother, and said, I have seen a woman in Timnath of the daughters of the Philistines: now therefore get her for me to wife.

И той се изкачи и разказа на баща си и майка си, и каза: Видях в Тамна една жена от дъщерите на филистимците; И сега, вземете ми я за жена!

Then his father and his mother said unto him, Is there never a woman among the daughters of thy brethren, or among all my people, that thou goest to take a wife of the uncircumcised Philistines? And Samson said unto his father, Get her for me; for she pleaseth me well.

А баща му и майка му му казаха: Няма ли жена между дъщерите на братята ти или между целия ми народ, че да ходиш да вземаш жена от необрязаните филистимци? Но Самсон каза на баща си: Тази ми вземи, защото тя е права в очите ми.

But his father and his mother knew not that it was of the LORD, that he sought an occasion against the Philistines: for at that time the Philistines had dominion over Israel.

Но баща му и майка му не знаеха, че това беше от ГОСПОДА, защото Той търсеше случай да излезе срещу филистимците. А в онова време филистимците владееха над Израил.

Then went Samson down, and his father and his mother, to Timnath, and came to the vineyards of Timnath: and, behold, a young lion roared against him.

И Самсон слезе в Тамна с баща си и майка си и когато дойдоха до тамнатските лозя, ето, едно лъвче ревеше срещу него.

And the Spirit of the LORD came mightily upon him, and he rent him as he would have rent a kid, and he had nothing in his hand: but he told not his father or his mother what he had done.

Тогава дойде върху него ГОСПОДНИЯТ Дух и той го разкъса, както се разкъсва яре, макар да нямаше нищо в ръката си. Но не каза на баща си и на майка си какво беше направил.

And he went down, and talked with the woman; and she pleased Samson well.

И слезе и говори на жената, и тя беше права в очите на Самсон.

And after a time he returned to take her, and he turned aside to see the carcase of the lion: and, behold, there was a swarm of bees and honey in the carcase of the lion.

А след известно време, когато се върна да я вземе, той се отби от пътя, за да види трупа на лъва; и ето, в трупа на лъва имаше рой пчели и мед.

And he took thereof in his hands, and went on eating, and came to his father and mother, and he gave them, and they did eat: but he told not them that he had taken the honey out of the carcase of the lion.

И той го взе в ръцете си и продължи, И яде, докато вървеше. И дойде при баща си и майка си и им даде, и те ядоха; но не им каза, че беше взел меда от трупа на лъва.

So his father went down unto the woman: and Samson made there a feast; for so used the young men to do.

И баща му слезе при жената и Самсон направи там угощение, защото така правеха младите мъже.

And it came to pass, when they saw him, that they brought thirty companions to be with him.

И като го видяха филистимците, доведоха тридесет другари, за да бъдат с него.

And Samson said unto them, I will now put forth a riddle unto you: if ye can certainly declare it me within the seven days of the feast, and find it out, then I will give you thirty sheets and thirty change of garments:

Тогава Самсон им каза: Ще ви предложа една гатанка. Ако ми я кажете през седемте дни на угощението и я отгатнете, аз ще ви дам тридесет ленени ризи и тридесет премени дрехи.

But if ye cannot declare it me, then shall ye give me thirty sheets and thirty change of garments. And they said unto him, Put forth thy riddle, that we may hear it.

Но ако не можете да ми я кажете, тогава вие ще ми дадете тридесет ленени ризи и тридесет премени дрехи. И те му казаха: Предложи гатанката си, за да я чуем.

And he said unto them, Out of the eater came forth meat, and out of the strong came forth sweetness. And they could not in three days expound the riddle.

Тогава той им каза: От ядящия дойде ядене и от силния дойде сладост. И до третия ден те не можаха да отгатнат гатанката.

And it came to pass on the seventh day, that they said unto Samson's wife, Entice thy husband, that he may declare unto us the riddle, lest we burn thee and thy father's house with fire: have ye called us to take that we have? is it not so?

А на седмия ден казаха на жената на Самсон: Склони мъжа си да ни каже гатанката, за да не изгорим теб и бащиния ти дом с огън! За да ни оберете ни поканихте, нали?

And Samson's wife wept before him, and said, Thou dost but hate me, and lovest me not: thou hast put forth a riddle unto the children of my people, and hast not told it me. And he said unto her, Behold, I have not told it my father nor my mother, and shall I tell it thee?

Тогава жената на Самсон заплака пред него и каза: Ти само ме мразиш и не ме обичаш! Предложил си гатанка на синовете на народа ми, а на мен не си я казал! А той й каза: Ето, и на баща си и на майка си не съм я казал, а на теб ли да я кажа?

And she wept before him the seven days, while their feast lasted: and it came to pass on the seventh day, that he told her, because she lay sore upon him: and she told the riddle to the children of her people.

Но тя плачеше пред него през седемте дни, докато беше угощението им. И на седмия ден той й я каза, понеже му досади. А тя каза гатанката на синовете на народа си.

And the men of the city said unto him on the seventh day before the sun went down, What is sweeter than honey? and what is stronger than a lion? And he said unto them, If ye had not plowed with my heifer, ye had not found out my riddle.

Тогава градските мъже му казаха на седмия ден, преди да залезе слънцето: Що е по-сладко от мед? И що е по-силно от лъв? А той им каза: Ако не бяхте орали с моята юница, не бихте отгатнали гатанката ми!

And the Spirit of the LORD came upon him, and he went down to Ashkelon, and slew thirty men of them, and took their spoil, and gave change of garments unto them which expounded the riddle. And his anger was kindled, and he went up to his father's house.

Тогава ГОСПОДНИЯТ Дух дойде на него и той слезе в Аскалон и уби тридесет мъже от тях, и взе облеклото им, и даде премените на онези, които бяха отгатнали гатанката. И гневът му пламна, и той се изкачи в бащиния си дом.

But Samson's wife was given to his companion, whom he had used as his friend.

А жената на Самсон беше дадена на другаря му, който му беше приятел.
