Jeremiah 1

The words of Jeremiah the son of Hilkiah, of the priests that were in Anathoth in the land of Benjamin:

Думите Еремия, сина на Хелкия, от свещениците, които бяха в Анатот, във вениаминовата земя,

To whom the word of the LORD came in the days of Josiah the son of Amon king of Judah, in the thirteenth year of his reign.

към когото беше словото на ГОСПОДА в дните на юдовия цар Йосия, сина на Амон, в тринадесетата година от царуването му.

It came also in the days of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the end of the eleventh year of Zedekiah the son of Josiah king of Judah, unto the carrying away of Jerusalem captive in the fifth month.

Беше и в дните на юдовия цар Йоаким, сина на Йосия, до края на единадесетата година на юдовия цар Седекия, сина на Йосия, до отвеждането в плен на Ерусалим в петия месец.

Then the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

И словото на ГОСПОДА беше към мен и каза:

Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.

Преди да те образувам в корема, те познах и преди да излезеш от утробата, те осветих; поставих те за пророк на народите.

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, I cannot speak: for I am a child.

Тогава казах: О, Господи, БОЖЕ! Ето, аз не зная да говоря, защото съм дете!

But the LORD said unto me, Say not, I am a child: for thou shalt go to all that I shall send thee, and whatsoever I command thee thou shalt speak.

А ГОСПОД ми каза: Не казвай: Дете съм. — защото при всички, при които те изпратя, ще отидеш и всичко, което ти заповядвам, ще кажеш.

Be not afraid of their faces: for I am with thee to deliver thee, saith the LORD.

Да не се боиш от тях, защото Аз съм с теб, за да те избавям, заявява ГОСПОД.

Then the LORD put forth his hand, and touched my mouth. And the LORD said unto me, Behold, I have put my words in thy mouth.

И ГОСПОД простря ръката Си и я допря до устата ми. И ГОСПОД ми каза: Ето, сложих думите Си в устата ти.

See, I have this day set thee over the nations and over the kingdoms, to root out, and to pull down, and to destroy, and to throw down, to build, and to plant.

Виж, в този ден те поставих над народите и над царствата, за да изкореняваш и да разоряваш, да погубваш и да събаряш, да градиш и да садиш.

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying, Jeremiah, what seest thou? And I said, I see a rod of an almond tree.

И словото на ГОСПОДА беше към мен и каза: Какво виждаш, Еремия? И казах: Виждам бадемова пръчка.

Then said the LORD unto me, Thou hast well seen: for I will hasten my word to perform it.

И ГОСПОД ми каза: Добре видя; защото Аз бързам да изпълня словото Си.

And the word of the LORD came unto me the second time, saying, What seest thou? And I said, I see a seething pot; and the face thereof is toward the north.

И словото на ГОСПОДА беше към мен втори път и каза: Какво виждаш? И казах: Виждам кипящ котел, и лицето му е на север.

Then the LORD said unto me, Out of the north an evil shall break forth upon all the inhabitants of the land.

И ГОСПОД ми каза: От север ще избухне злото върху всички жители на земята.

For, lo, I will call all the families of the kingdoms of the north, saith the LORD; and they shall come, and they shall set every one his throne at the entering of the gates of Jerusalem, and against all the walls thereof round about, and against all the cities of Judah.

Защото, ето, Аз ще извикам всички родове на северните царства, заявява ГОСПОД, и те ще дойдат и ще поставят всеки престола си във входа на ерусалимските порти и срещу всичките стени около него, и срещу всичките юдови градове.

And I will utter my judgments against them touching all their wickedness, who have forsaken me, and have burned incense unto other gods, and worshipped the works of their own hands.

И ще произнеса присъдите Си над тях заради цялата им злина, че Ме оставиха и кадиха на чужди богове, и се поклониха на делата на ръцете си.

Thou therefore gird up thy loins, and arise, and speak unto them all that I command thee: be not dismayed at their faces, lest I confound thee before them.

А ти опаши кръста си и стани, и им кажи всичко, което ще ти заповядам. Да не се уплашиш от тях, да не би да те уплаша Аз пред тях.

For, behold, I have made thee this day a defenced city, and an iron pillar, and brasen walls against the whole land, against the kings of Judah, against the princes thereof, against the priests thereof, and against the people of the land.

А Аз, ето, поставих те днес за укрепен град и за железен стълб, и за бронзови стени против цялата страна, против царете на Юда, против първенците му, против свещениците му и против народа на земята.

And they shall fight against thee; but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee, saith the LORD, to deliver thee.

Те ще воюват против теб, но няма да ти надвият, защото Аз съм с теб, заявява ГОСПОД, за да те избавям.
