I Kings 5

And Hiram king of Tyre sent his servants unto Solomon; for he had heard that they had anointed him king in the room of his father: for Hiram was ever a lover of David.

А Хирам, царят на Тир, изпрати слугите си при Соломон, защото чу, че го бяха помазали за цар вместо баща му, защото Хирам беше винаги приятел на Давид.

And Solomon sent to Hiram, saying,

И Соломон изпрати до Хирам да кажат:

Thou knowest how that David my father could not build an house unto the name of the LORD his God for the wars which were about him on every side, until the LORD put them under the soles of his feet.

Ти знаеш, че баща ми Давид не можа да построи дом за Името на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, заради войните, които го заобикаляха, докато ГОСПОД не положи враговете му под стъпалата на краката му.

But now the LORD my God hath given me rest on every side, so that there is neither adversary nor evil occurrent.

Но сега ГОСПОД, моят Бог, ми даде спокойствие отвсякъде; няма вече нито противник, нито злополука.

And, behold, I purpose to build an house unto the name of the LORD my God, as the LORD spake unto David my father, saying, Thy son, whom I will set upon thy throne in thy room, he shall build an house unto my name.

И ето, аз възнамерявам да построя дом за Името на ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, както ГОСПОД говори на баща ми Давид и каза: Синът ти, когото ще поставя на престола ти вместо теб, той ще построи дом за Името Ми.

Now therefore command thou that they hew me cedar trees out of Lebanon; and my servants shall be with thy servants: and unto thee will I give hire for thy servants according to all that thou shalt appoint: for thou knowest that there is not among us any that can skill to hew timber like unto the Sidonians.

И сега, заповядай да ми насекат кедри от Ливан; и моите слуги ще бъдат с твоите слуги; и ще ти дам за заплата на слугите ти всичко, каквото кажеш — защото знаеш, че между нас няма никой, който да знае как да сече дърва като сидонците.

And it came to pass, when Hiram heard the words of Solomon, that he rejoiced greatly, and said, Blessed be the LORD this day, which hath given unto David a wise son over this great people.

И когато Хирам чу думите на Соломон, много се зарадва и каза: Благословен да бъде днес ГОСПОД, който даде на Давид мъдър син над този голям народ!

And Hiram sent to Solomon, saying, I have considered the things which thou sentest to me for: and I will do all thy desire concerning timber of cedar, and concerning timber of fir.

И Хирам изпрати до Соломон да кажат: Чух посланието, което ми изпрати. Ще направя всичко, което желаеш, за кедровия и кипарисовия дървен материал.

My servants shall bring them down from Lebanon unto the sea: and I will convey them by sea in floats unto the place that thou shalt appoint me, and will cause them to be discharged there, and thou shalt receive them: and thou shalt accomplish my desire, in giving food for my household.

Моите слуги ще го свалят от Ливан до морето и аз ще го направя на салове и ще го докарам по море до мястото, което ми посочиш, и там ще се развържат, и ще го прибереш. А ти ще изпълниш желанието ми, като дадеш храна на дома ми.

So Hiram gave Solomon cedar trees and fir trees according to all his desire.

И така Хирам даде на Соломон кедров и кипарисов дървен материал според цялото му желание.

And Solomon gave Hiram twenty thousand measures of wheat for food to his household, and twenty measures of pure oil: thus gave Solomon to Hiram year by year.

А Соломон даде на Хирам двадесет хиляди кора пшеница за храна на дома му и двадесет кора пресовано маслинено масло. Соломон даваше това на Хирам всяка година.

And the LORD gave Solomon wisdom, as he promised him: and there was peace between Hiram and Solomon; and they two made a league together.

И ГОСПОД даде на Соломон мъдрост, както му беше обещал. И между Хирам и Соломон имаше мир и те двамата направиха договор.

And king Solomon raised a levy out of all Israel; and the levy was thirty thousand men.

Тогава цар Соломон събра задължителни работници от целия Израил и задължителните работници бяха тридесет хиляди мъже.

And he sent them to Lebanon, ten thousand a month by courses: a month they were in Lebanon, and two months at home: and Adoniram was over the levy.

И ги изпращаше в Ливан на смени, по десет хиляди на месец; един месец бяха в Ливан и два месеца у дома. И Адонирам беше над задължителния труд.

And Solomon had threescore and ten thousand that bare burdens, and fourscore thousand hewers in the mountains;

А Соломон имаше седемдесет хиляди носачи и осемдесет хиляди каменоделци в планините,

Beside the chief of Solomon's officers which were over the work, three thousand and three hundred, which ruled over the people that wrought in the work.

освен главните надзиратели на Соломон, които бяха над работата, три хиляди и триста, които управляваха народа, който вършеше работата.

And the king commanded, and they brought great stones, costly stones, and hewed stones, to lay the foundation of the house.

И царят заповяда и те изкопаха големи камъни, благородни камъни, за да положат основата на дома с дялани камъни.

And Solomon's builders and Hiram's builders did hew them, and the stonesquarers: so they prepared timber and stones to build the house.

Така зидарите на Соломон и зидарите на Хирам, и гевалците ги издялаха и подготвиха дървения материал и камъните за строежа на дома.
