I Corinthians 2

2:1

हे भाइयों, जब मैं तुम्हारे पास आया था तो परमेश्वर के रहस्यपूर्ण सत्य का, वाणी की चतुरता अथवा मानव बुद्धि के साथ उपदेश देते हुए नहीं आया था

And I, brethren, when I came to you, came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom, declaring unto you the testimony of God.

2:2

कयोंकि मैंने यह निश्चय कर लिया था कि तुम्हारे बीच रहते, मैं यीशु मसीह और क्रूस पर हुई उसकी मृत्यु को छोड़ कर किसी और बात को जानूँगा तक नहीं।

For I determined not to know any thing among you, save Jesus Christ, and him crucified.

2:3

सो मैं दीनता के साथ भय से पूरी तरह काँपता हुआ तुम्हारे पास आया।

And I was with you in weakness, and in fear, and in much trembling.

2:4

और मेरी वाणी तथा मेरा संदेश मानव बुद्धि के लुभावने शब्दों से युक्त नहीं थे बल्कि उनमें था आत्मा की शक्ति का प्रमाण

And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man's wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power:

2:5

ताकि तुम्हारा विश्वास मानव बुद्धि के बजाय परमेश्वर की शक्ति पर टिके।

That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.

2:6

जो समझदार हैं, उन्हें हम बुद्धि देते हैं किन्तु यह बुद्धि इस युग की बुद्धि नहीं है, न ही इस युग के उन शासकों की बुद्धि है जिन्हें विनाश के कगार पर लाया जा रहा है।

Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

2:7

इसके स्थान पर हम तो परमेश्वर के उस रहस्यपूर्ण विवेक को देते हैं जो छिपा हुआ था और जिसे अनादि काल से परमेश्वर ने हमारी महिमा के लिये निश्चित किया था।

But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

2:8

और जिसे इस युग के किसी भी शासक ने नहीं समझा क्योंकि यदि वे उसे समझ पाये होते तो वे उस महिमावान प्रभु को क्रूस पर न चढ़ाते।

Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

2:9

किन्तु शास्त्र में लिखा है: “जिन्हें आँखों ने देखा नहीं और कानों ने सुना नहीं; जहाँ मनुष्य की बुद्धि तक कभी नहीं पहुँची ऐसी बातें उनके हेतु प्रभु ने बनायी जो जन उसके प्रेमी होते।” यशायाह 64:4

But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.
