Psalms 125

آنهایی که بر خداوند توکّل دارند، مانند کوه صهیون هستند که هیچ‌گاه نمی‌لرزند و از جای خود تکان نمی‌خورند.

They that trust in the LORD shall be as mount Zion, which cannot be removed, but abideth for ever.

همان‌طور که کوهها، شهر اورشلیم را احاطه کرده‌اند، خداوند هم قوم خود را همیشه در پناه خود می‌گیرد.

As the mountains are round about Jerusalem, so the LORD is round about his people from henceforth even for ever.

شریران همیشه در سرزمین نیکوکاران حکومت نخواهند کرد. وگرنه، نیکوکاران نیز ممکن است دست به شرارت بزنند.

For the rod of the wicked shall not rest upon the lot of the righteous; lest the righteous put forth their hands unto iniquity.

خداوندا، با مردم نیک که احکام تو را بجا می‌آورند، مهربان باش.

Do good, O LORD, unto those that be good, and to them that are upright in their hearts.

امّا شریران را با کسانی‌که از راه تو پیروی نمی‌کنند، مجازات کن. صلح و سلامتی بر اسرائیل باد!

As for such as turn aside unto their crooked ways, the LORD shall lead them forth with the workers of iniquity: but peace shall be upon Israel.
