Nehemiah 13

В същия ден се прочете от книгата на Мойсей на всеослушание пред народа, и в нея се намери писано, че никой амонец и моавец не бива да влиза в Божието събрание до века,

On that day they read in the book of Moses in the audience of the people; and therein was found written, that the Ammonite and the Moabite should not come into the congregation of God for ever;

защото не бяха посрещнали израилевите синове с хляб и вода, а бяха наели против тях Валаам, за да ги прокълне; но нашият Бог обърна проклятието в благословение.

Because they met not the children of Israel with bread and with water, but hired Balaam against them, that he should curse them: howbeit our God turned the curse into a blessing.

И като чуха закона, отлъчиха от Израил цялото разноплеменно множество.

Now it came to pass, when they had heard the law, that they separated from Israel all the mixed multitude.

А преди това свещеникът Елиасив, който беше поставен над стаите на дома на нашия Бог, понеже беше сродник на Товия,

And before this, Eliashib the priest, having the oversight of the chamber of the house of our God, was allied unto Tobiah:

беше приготвил за него една голяма стая, където преди това слагаха хлебните приноси, ливана и съдовете, и десятъците от житото, виното и маслиненото масло, определеното за левитите и певците, и вратарите, и възвишаемите приноси на свещениците.

And he had prepared for him a great chamber, where aforetime they laid the meat offerings, the frankincense, and the vessels, and the tithes of the corn, the new wine, and the oil, which was commanded to be given to the Levites, and the singers, and the porters; and the offerings of the priests.

Но когато е ставало всичко това, аз не бях в Ерусалим, защото в тридесет и втората година на вавилонския цар Артаксеркс отидох при царя. И след известно време измолих позволение от царя

But in all this time was not I at Jerusalem: for in the two and thirtieth year of Artaxerxes king of Babylon came I unto the king, and after certain days obtained I leave of the king:

и пак дойдох в Ерусалим и разбрах за злото, което Елиасив беше направил заради Товия, като му беше приготвил стая в дворовете на Божия дом.

And I came to Jerusalem, and understood of the evil that Eliashib did for Tobiah, in preparing him a chamber in the courts of the house of God.

И това ме оскърби много и аз изхвърлих цялата покъщнина на Товия вън от стаята.

And it grieved me sore: therefore I cast forth all the household stuff of Tobiah out of the chamber.

После заповядах да очистят стаите и пак внесох там съдовете на Божия дом, хлебните приноси и ливана.

Then I commanded, and they cleansed the chambers: and thither brought I again the vessels of the house of God, with the meat offering and the frankincense.

И разбрах, че дяловете на левитите не им бяха давани, така че свещениците и певците, които вършеха делото, бяха побягнали всеки на нивата си.

And I perceived that the portions of the Levites had not been given them: for the Levites and the singers, that did the work, were fled every one to his field.

Тогава се скарах с първенците и казах: Защо е изоставен Божият дом? И ги събрах и ги поставих на мястото им.

Then contended I with the rulers, and said, Why is the house of God forsaken? And I gathered them together, and set them in their place.

И целият Юда донесе в складовете десятъка от житото и виното, и маслиненото масло.

Then brought all Judah the tithe of the corn and the new wine and the oil unto the treasuries.

И поставих за ковчежници на складовете свещеника Селемия и писаря Садок, и Федая от левитите, и до тях Анан, сина на Закхур, син на Матания, защото се считаха за верни. И работата им беше да раздават на братята си.

And I made treasurers over the treasuries, Shelemiah the priest, and Zadok the scribe, and of the Levites, Pedaiah: and next to them was Hanan the son of Zaccur, the son of Mattaniah: for they were counted faithful, and their office was to distribute unto their brethren.

Помни ме, Боже мой, за това и не заличавай добрините ми, които съм извършил за дома на моя Бог и за заповяданото за него.

Remember me, O my God, concerning this, and wipe not out my good deeds that I have done for the house of my God, and for the offices thereof.

В онези дни видях някои в Юда, че тъпчеха линовете в събота и прибираха снопи, и ги товареха на магарета, както и вино, грозде и смокини, и всякакви товари и ги внасяха в Ерусалим в съботен ден. И аз свидетелствах против тях в деня, когато продаваха храна.

In those days saw I in Judah some treading wine presses on the sabbath, and bringing in sheaves, and lading asses; as also wine, grapes, and figs, and all manner of burdens, which they brought into Jerusalem on the sabbath day: and I testified against them in the day wherein they sold victuals.

Там живееха и тиряни, които донасяха риба и всякакви стоки и ги продаваха в събота на юдовите синове и в Ерусалим.

There dwelt men of Tyre also therein, which brought fish, and all manner of ware, and sold on the sabbath unto the children of Judah, and in Jerusalem.

Тогава се скарах с благородните от Юда и им казах: Какво е това зло, което правите, като осквернявате съботния ден?

Then I contended with the nobles of Judah, and said unto them, What evil thing is this that ye do, and profane the sabbath day?

Не постъпиха ли така бащите ви, така че нашият Бог докара цялото това зло върху нас и върху този град? А вие умножавате пламенния гняв над Израил като осквернявате съботата!

Did not your fathers thus, and did not our God bring all this evil upon us, and upon this city? yet ye bring more wrath upon Israel by profaning the sabbath.

И когато започна да мръква в ерусалимските порти преди съботата, аз заповядах да се затворят вратите и заповядах да не се отварят до след съботата; и поставих на портите някои от моите слуги, за да не се внася никакъв товар в съботен ден.

And it came to pass, that when the gates of Jerusalem began to be dark before the sabbath, I commanded that the gates should be shut, and charged that they should not be opened till after the sabbath: and some of my servants set I at the gates, that there should no burden be brought in on the sabbath day.

Тогава търговците и продавачите на всякакви стоки пренощуваха извън Ерусалим един-два пъти.

So the merchants and sellers of all kind of ware lodged without Jerusalem once or twice.

И аз ги предупредих и им казах: Защо нощувате пред стената? Ако го направите още веднъж, ще сложа ръка на вас! Оттогава вече не дойдоха в събота.

Then I testified against them, and said unto them, Why lodge ye about the wall? if ye do so again, I will lay hands on you. From that time forth came they no more on the sabbath.

И аз заповядах на левитите да се очистват и да идват да пазят портите, за да се освещава съботният ден. Помни ме, Боже мой, и за това и се смили над мен според голямата Си милост!

And I commanded the Levites that they should cleanse themselves, and that they should come and keep the gates, to sanctify the sabbath day. Remember me, O my God, concerning this also, and spare me according to the greatness of thy mercy.

В онези дни видях и юдеите, които бяха взели жени азотки, амонки и моавки.

In those days also saw I Jews that had married wives of Ashdod, of Ammon, and of Moab:

И половината от децата им говореха азотски и не можеха да говорят юдейски, а само езиците на този или онзи народ.

And their children spake half in the speech of Ashdod, and could not speak in the Jews' language, but according to the language of each people.

И се скарах с тях и ги проклех, и бих няколко от тях, и ги оскубах. И ги заклех в Бога, като казах: Да не давате дъщерите си на синовете им и да не вземате от техните дъщери за синовете си и за себе си!

And I contended with them, and cursed them, and smote certain of them, and plucked off their hair, and made them swear by God, saying, Ye shall not give your daughters unto their sons, nor take their daughters unto your sons, or for yourselves.

Не съгреши ли така израилевият цар Соломон? А между многото народи не е имало цар като него и той беше възлюбен от своя Бог, и Бог го беше поставил за цар над целия Израил — но и него чужденките жени накараха да съгреши.

Did not Solomon king of Israel sin by these things? yet among many nations was there no king like him, who was beloved of his God, and God made him king over all Israel: nevertheless even him did outlandish women cause to sin.

И трябва ли да слушаме за вас, че вършите цялото това голямо зло — да постъпвате невярно към нашия Бог, като водите у дома си жени чужденки?

Shall we then hearken unto you to do all this great evil, to transgress against our God in marrying strange wives?

И един от синовете на Йодай, сина на първосвещеника Елиасив, беше зет на оронеца Санавалат, и аз го изпъдих от себе си.

And one of the sons of Joiada, the son of Eliashib the high priest, was son in law to Sanballat the Horonite: therefore I chased him from me.

Спомни си за тях, Боже мой, защото оскверниха свещенството и завета на свещенството и левитите!

Remember them, O my God, because they have defiled the priesthood, and the covenant of the priesthood, and of the Levites.

Така ги очистих от всички чужденци и определих службите за свещениците и левитите, за всекиго работата му.

Thus cleansed I them from all strangers, and appointed the wards of the priests and the Levites, every one in his business;

Наредих и за приноса на дърва в определени времена, и за първите плодове. Помни ме, Боже мой, за добро!

And for the wood offering, at times appointed, and for the firstfruits. Remember me, O my God, for good.
