Jeremiah 2

И словото на ГОСПОДА беше към мен и каза:

Moreover the word of the LORD came to me, saying,

Иди и викай в ушите на ерусалимската дъщеря и кажи: Така казва ГОСПОД: Помня ти верността ти, когато беше млада, любовта ти, когато беше невяста — как Ме следваше в пустинята, в незасята земя.

Go and cry in the ears of Jerusalem, saying, Thus saith the LORD; I remember thee, the kindness of thy youth, the love of thine espousals, when thou wentest after me in the wilderness, in a land that was not sown.

Израил беше свят на ГОСПОДА, първият плод на рожбите Му. Всички, които го ядяха, се считаха за виновни, зло ги постигаше, заявява ГОСПОД.

Israel was holiness unto the LORD, and the firstfruits of his increase: all that devour him shall offend; evil shall come upon them, saith the LORD.

Чуйте словото ГОСПОДНО, доме яковов и всички родове на израилевия дом:

Hear ye the word of the LORD, O house of Jacob, and all the families of the house of Israel:

Така казва ГОСПОД: Каква неправда намериха в Мен бащите ви, че се отдалечиха от Мен и отидоха след нищожеството, и станаха нищожни?

Thus saith the LORD, What iniquity have your fathers found in me, that they are gone far from me, and have walked after vanity, and are become vain?

И не казаха: Къде е ГОСПОД, който ни изведе от египетската земя, който ни води през пустинята, през земя на степи и пропасти, през земя на суша и смъртна сянка, през която никой не минава и където човек не живее?

Neither said they, Where is the LORD that brought us up out of the land of Egypt, that led us through the wilderness, through a land of deserts and of pits, through a land of drought, and of the shadow of death, through a land that no man passed through, and where no man dwelt?

И ви доведох в плодородна земя, за да ядете плодовете й и благата й. И дойдохте и осквернихте земята Ми, и направихте наследството Ми гнусота.

And I brought you into a plentiful country, to eat the fruit thereof and the goodness thereof; but when ye entered, ye defiled my land, and made mine heritage an abomination.

Свещениците не казаха: Къде е ГОСПОД? Законниците не Ме познаха. И пастирите отстъпиха от Мен, и пророците пророкуваха чрез Ваал и ходиха след безполезните идоли.

The priests said not, Where is the LORD? and they that handle the law knew me not: the pastors also transgressed against me, and the prophets prophesied by Baal, and walked after things that do not profit.

Затова Аз още ще се съдя с вас, заявява ГОСПОД, и със синовете на синовете ви ще се съдя.

Wherefore I will yet plead with you, saith the LORD, and with your children's children will I plead.

Защото, минете на китимските острови и вижте, и изпратете в Кидар и разгледайте много внимателно, и вижте ставало ли е такова нещо!

For pass over the isles of Chittim, and see; and send unto Kedar, and consider diligently, and see if there be such a thing.

Сменил ли е някой народ боговете си, при все че не са богове? А Моят народ е разменил славата си за безполезното!

Hath a nation changed their gods, which are yet no gods? but my people have changed their glory for that which doth not profit.

Ужасете се, небеса, поради това! Настръхнете, съвсем замръзнете от ужас, заявява ГОСПОД.

Be astonished, O ye heavens, at this, and be horribly afraid, be ye very desolate, saith the LORD.

Защото две злини стори Моят народ: остави Мен, извора на живите води, за да си изсече щерни, разпукнати щерни, които не държат вода.

For my people have committed two evils; they have forsaken me the fountain of living waters, and hewed them out cisterns, broken cisterns, that can hold no water.

Израил слуга ли е? Роб, роден в дома ли е? Защо стана плячка?

Is Israel a servant? is he a homeborn slave? why is he spoiled?

Млади лъвове реваха против него, нададоха гласа си и направиха земята му пустош. Градовете му са изгорени и обезлюдени.

The young lions roared upon him, and yelled, and they made his land waste: his cities are burned without inhabitant.

И синовете на Мемфис и на Тафнес обръснаха темето ти.

Also the children of Noph and Tahapanes have broken the crown of thy head.

Не си ли направи това сам, като остави ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, във времето, когато те водеше по пътя?

Hast thou not procured this unto thyself, in that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, when he led thee by the way?

И сега, какво имаш с пътя на Египет, да пиеш водата на Сихор? И какво имаш с пътя на Асирия, да пиеш водата на реката Ефрат?

And now what hast thou to do in the way of Egypt, to drink the waters of Sihor? or what hast thou to do in the way of Assyria, to drink the waters of the river?

Злината ти ще те накаже и отстъпленията ти ще те изобличат. И така, познай и виж, че е зло и горчиво това, че си оставил ГОСПОДА, своя Бог, и че нямаш страх от Мен, заявява Господ, БОГ на Войнствата,

Thine own wickedness shall correct thee, and thy backslidings shall reprove thee: know therefore and see that it is an evil thing and bitter, that thou hast forsaken the LORD thy God, and that my fear is not in thee, saith the Lord GOD of hosts.

понеже отдавна съм строшил ярема ти и съм разкъсал връзките ти, а ти каза: Няма вече да служа! — и на всеки висок хълм и под всяко зелено дърво лягаше като блудница.

For of old time I have broken thy yoke, and burst thy bands; and thou saidst, I will not transgress; when upon every high hill and under every green tree thou wanderest, playing the harlot.

А Аз бях те насадил лоза отбрана, изцяло чисто семе. И ти как ми се измени в изродени пръчки на чужда лоза?

Yet I had planted thee a noble vine, wholly a right seed: how then art thou turned into the degenerate plant of a strange vine unto me?

Затова, ако и да се измиеш с луга и да употребиш много сапун, беззаконието ти остава петно пред Мен, заявява Господ БОГ.

For though thou wash thee with nitre, and take thee much soap, yet thine iniquity is marked before me, saith the Lord GOD.

Как можеш да кажеш: Не съм се омърсила, не съм ходила след ваалимите? Виж пътя си в долината, познай какво си направила, ти, бърза камила, която тича насам-натам в пътищата си!

How canst thou say, I am not polluted, I have not gone after Baalim? see thy way in the valley, know what thou hast done: thou art a swift dromedary traversing her ways;

Дива магарица, свикнала с пустинята, която в страстта си се задъхва; в разгонването й кой ще я върне? Онези, които я търсят, няма да се уморят, ще я намерят в месеца й.

A wild ass used to the wilderness, that snuffeth up the wind at her pleasure; in her occasion who can turn her away? all they that seek her will not weary themselves; in her month they shall find her.

Въздържай крака си да не ходиш боса, и гърлото си да не съхне от жажда! Но ти си казала: Напразно е! Не! Защото заобичах чужденци и след тях ще отида.

Withhold thy foot from being unshod, and thy throat from thirst: but thou saidst, There is no hope: no; for I have loved strangers, and after them will I go.

Както се посрамя крадецът, когато бъде открит, така ще се посрами израилевият дом — те, царете им, първенците им и свещениците им, и пророците им,

As the thief is ashamed when he is found, so is the house of Israel ashamed; they, their kings, their princes, and their priests, and their prophets,

които казват на дървото: Ти си мой отец! — и на камъка: Ти си ме родил! — защото ми обърнаха гръб, а не лице, но във времето на бедствието си ще кажат: Стани и ни спаси!

Saying to a stock, Thou art my father; and to a stone, Thou hast brought me forth: for they have turned their back unto me, and not their face: but in the time of their trouble they will say, Arise, and save us.

А къде са боговете ти, които си си направил? Нека те станат, ако могат, да те спасят във времето на бедствието ти; защото, колкото са градовете ти, толкова са и боговете ти, Юда.

But where are thy gods that thou hast made thee? let them arise, if they can save thee in the time of thy trouble: for according to the number of thy cities are thy gods, O Judah.

Защо се препирате с Мен? Вие всички сте отстъпници от Мен, заявява ГОСПОД.

Wherefore will ye plead with me? ye all have transgressed against me, saith the LORD.

Напразно поразих синовете ви, те не приеха поправяне. Вашият меч пояде пророците ви като кръвожаден лъв.

In vain have I smitten your children; they received no correction: your own sword hath devoured your prophets, like a destroying lion.

О вие, роде, вижте словото на ГОСПОДА: Пустиня ли бях Аз за Израил, или земя на черен мрак? Защо казва народът Ми: Блуждаем, няма вече да се върнем при Теб!

O generation, see ye the word of the LORD. Have I been a wilderness unto Israel? a land of darkness? wherefore say my people, We are lords; we will come no more unto thee?

Може ли да забрави девойка накита си или невяста — украшенията си? Но Моят народ Ме забрави, има вече безброй дни.

Can a maid forget her ornaments, or a bride her attire? yet my people have forgotten me days without number.

Как украсяваш пътя си, за да търсиш любов! Затова си привикнала и пътищата си на злини!

Why trimmest thou thy way to seek love? therefore hast thou also taught the wicked ones thy ways.

Да, и по полите ти се намери кръвта на души, невинни сиромаси, които не си намерила да подкопават. Но въпреки всички тези неща,

Also in thy skirts is found the blood of the souls of the poor innocents: I have not found it by secret search, but upon all these.

ти казваш: Невинна съм, да, гневът Му се отвърна от мен! Ето, Аз ще се съдя с теб, защото казваш: Не съм съгрешила.

Yet thou sayest, Because I am innocent, surely his anger shall turn from me. Behold, I will plead with thee, because thou sayest, I have not sinned.

Защо се луташ толкова много, за да промениш пътя си? Ще се посрамиш и от Египет, както се посрами от Асирия.

Why gaddest thou about so much to change thy way? thou also shalt be ashamed of Egypt, as thou wast ashamed of Assyria.

И от него ще излезеш с ръцете си на главата си, защото ГОСПОД отхвърли онези, на които се уповаваш, и няма да имаш успех с тях.

Yea, thou shalt go forth from him, and thine hands upon thine head: for the LORD hath rejected thy confidences, and thou shalt not prosper in them.
