Exodus 5

След това Мойсей и Аарон влязоха и казаха на фараона: Така говори ГОСПОД, Израилевият Бог: Пусни народа Ми, за да Ми направи празник в пустинята!

And afterward Moses and Aaron went in, and told Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, Let my people go, that they may hold a feast unto me in the wilderness.

Но фараонът каза: Кой е ГОСПОД, че да послушам гласа Му и да пусна Израил? Не познавам ГОСПОД и няма да пусна Израил.

And Pharaoh said, Who is the LORD, that I should obey his voice to let Israel go? I know not the LORD, neither will I let Israel go.

А те казаха: Бог на евреите ни срещна. Молим ти се, нека отидем на тридневен път в пустинята, за да принесем жертва на ГОСПОДА, нашия Бог, за да не ни порази с мор или с меч.

And they said, The God of the Hebrews hath met with us: let us go, we pray thee, three days' journey into the desert, and sacrifice unto the LORD our God; lest he fall upon us with pestilence, or with the sword.

Но египетският цар им каза: Защо вие, Мойсей и Аарон, отвличате народа от работата му? Идете на определените си работи!

And the king of Egypt said unto them, Wherefore do ye, Moses and Aaron, let the people from their works? get you unto your burdens.

И фараонът каза още: Ето, народът на земята сега е многоброен, а вие го правите да остави определените си работи.

And Pharaoh said, Behold, the people of the land now are many, and ye make them rest from their burdens.

И в същия ден фараонът заповяда на надзирателите и на началниците на народа, като каза:

And Pharaoh commanded the same day the taskmasters of the people, and their officers, saying,

Не давайте вече както досега плява на този народ, за да правят тухли, нека ходят сами и си събират плява.

Ye shall no more give the people straw to make brick, as heretofore: let them go and gather straw for themselves.

Но колкото тухли са правили досега, същия брой изисквайте от тях; с нищо да не го намалите; защото безделничат и затова викат и казват: Нека отидем да принесем жертва на нашия Бог.

And the tale of the bricks, which they did make heretofore, ye shall lay upon them; ye shall not diminish ought thereof: for they be idle; therefore they cry, saying, Let us go and sacrifice to our God.

Нека се възлагат още по-тежки работи на тези хора, за да се трудят в тях; и да не обръщат внимание на лъжливи думи.

Let there more work be laid upon the men, that they may labour therein; and let them not regard vain words.

И така, надзирателите и началниците на народа излязоха и говориха на народа, и казаха: Така казва фараонът: Не ви давам плява.

And the taskmasters of the people went out, and their officers, and they spake to the people, saying, Thus saith Pharaoh, I will not give you straw.

Идете сами и си събирайте плява, където намерите; но нищо няма да се намали от работата ви.

Go ye, get you straw where ye can find it: yet not ought of your work shall be diminished.

Затова народът се разпръсна по цялата египетска земя да събира слама за плява.

So the people were scattered abroad throughout all the land of Egypt to gather stubble instead of straw.

А надзирателите настоятелно изискваха, като казваха: Изкарвайте работата си, определената си ежедневна работа, както когато имаше плява!

And the taskmasters hasted them, saying, Fulfil your works, your daily tasks, as when there was straw.

И началниците на израилевите синове, които бяха поставени над тях от надзирателите на фараона, бяха бити, като им казаха: Защо не изкарахте и вчера, и днес определения ви брой тухли както по-напред?

And the officers of the children of Israel, which Pharaoh's taskmasters had set over them, were beaten, and demanded, Wherefore have ye not fulfilled your task in making brick both yesterday and to day, as heretofore?

Тогава началниците на израилевите синове влязоха и извикаха към фараона и казаха: Защо постъпваш така със слугите си?

Then the officers of the children of Israel came and cried unto Pharaoh, saying, Wherefore dealest thou thus with thy servants?

Не се дава плява на слугите ти, а ни казват: Правете тухли! И ето, слугите ти сме бити, а вината е на твоя народ.

There is no straw given unto thy servants, and they say to us, Make brick: and, behold, thy servants are beaten; but the fault is in thine own people.

Но той каза: Лениви сте, лениви! Затова казвате: Нека отидем да принесем жертва на ГОСПОДА.

But he said, Ye are idle, ye are idle: therefore ye say, Let us go and do sacrifice to the LORD.

Идете сега и работете! Няма да ви се даде плява, но ще давате определения брой тухли.

Go therefore now, and work; for there shall no straw be given you, yet shall ye deliver the tale of bricks.

И началниците на израилевите синове видяха, че положението им е лошо, защото им се каза: Няма да намалявате нищо от броя тухли, който ви е определен за всеки ден.

And the officers of the children of Israel did see that they were in evil case, after it was said, Ye shall not minish ought from your bricks of your daily task.

И като излязоха от присъствието на фараона, срещнаха Мойсей и Аарон, които ги пресрещнаха.

And they met Moses and Aaron, who stood in the way, as they came forth from Pharaoh:

И им казаха: ГОСПОД да погледне на вас и да съди, защото вие ни направихте омразни на фараона и на слугите му и сложихте меч в ръката им, за да ни избият.

And they said unto them, The LORD look upon you, and judge; because ye have made our savour to be abhorred in the eyes of Pharaoh, and in the eyes of his servants, to put a sword in their hand to slay us.

Тогава Мойсей се обърна към ГОСПОДА и каза: Господи, защо си постъпил така зле с този народ? Защо си ме изпратил?

And Moses returned unto the LORD, and said, Lord, wherefore hast thou so evil entreated this people? why is it that thou hast sent me?

Защото, откакто влязох при фараона да говоря в Твое Име, той постъпва зле с този народ, а Ти никак не си избавил народа Си.

For since I came to Pharaoh to speak in thy name, he hath done evil to this people; neither hast thou delivered thy people at all.
