II Samuel 16

И когато Давид беше минал малко по-нататък от върха, ето, Сива, слугата на Мемфивостей, го посрещна с двойка оседлани магарета и на тях двеста хляба и сто калъпа сушено грозде, и сто низаници летни плодове и мех с вино.

And when David was a little past the top of the hill, behold, Ziba the servant of Mephibosheth met him, with a couple of asses saddled, and upon them two hundred loaves of bread, and an hundred bunches of raisins, and an hundred of summer fruits, and a bottle of wine.

И царят каза на Сива: За какво ти е това? А Сива каза: Магаретата са, за да язди царският дом, хлябът и летните плодове — за да ядат момчетата, а виното — за да пият онези, които изнемощеят в пустинята.

And the king said unto Ziba, What meanest thou by these? And Ziba said, The asses be for the king's household to ride on; and the bread and summer fruit for the young men to eat; and the wine, that such as be faint in the wilderness may drink.

И царят каза: А къде е синът на господаря ти? И Сива каза на царя: Ето, той остана в Ерусалим, защото каза: Днес израилевият дом ще ми възвърне царството на баща ми!

And the king said, And where is thy master's son? And Ziba said unto the king, Behold, he abideth at Jerusalem: for he said, To day shall the house of Israel restore me the kingdom of my father.

Затова царят каза на Сива: Ето, целият имот на Мемфивостей е твой. И Сива каза: Покланям ти се; нека намеря благоволение пред теб, господарю мой, царю!

Then said the king to Ziba, Behold, thine are all that pertained unto Mephibosheth. And Ziba said, I humbly beseech thee that I may find grace in thy sight, my lord, O king.

А когато цар Давид дойде във Ваурим, ето, оттам излезе един човек от рода на Сауловия дом на име Семей, син на Гира. Той излезе, като постоянно кълнеше,

And when king David came to Bahurim, behold, thence came out a man of the family of the house of Saul, whose name was Shimei, the son of Gera: he came forth, and cursed still as he came.

и хвърляше камъни по Давид и по всичките слуги на цар Давид, въпреки че целият народ и всичките силни мъже бяха от дясната и от лявата му страна.

And he cast stones at David, and at all the servants of king David: and all the people and all the mighty men were on his right hand and on his left.

И Семей говореше така, като кълнеше: Махни се, махни се, ти, кръвнико и негоднико!

And thus said Shimei when he cursed, Come out, come out, thou bloody man, and thou man of Belial:

ГОСПОД докара върху теб всичката кръв на Сауловия дом, на чието място ти се възцари, и ГОСПОД предаде царството в ръката на сина ти Авесалом! И ето, сега си уловен в собственото си зло, защото си кръвник!

The LORD hath returned upon thee all the blood of the house of Saul, in whose stead thou hast reigned; and the LORD hath delivered the kingdom into the hand of Absalom thy son: and, behold, thou art taken in thy mischief, because thou art a bloody man.

Тогава Ависей, синът на Саруя, каза на царя: Защо това мъртво куче да кълне господаря ми, царя? Моля те, нека отида оттатък да му взема главата!

Then said Abishai the son of Zeruiah unto the king, Why should this dead dog curse my lord the king? let me go over, I pray thee, and take off his head.

Но царят каза: Какво общо имам аз с вас, синове на Саруя? Нека кълне! Защото, ако ГОСПОД му е казал: Прокълни Давид! — тогава кой ще каже: Защо правиш така?

And the king said, What have I to do with you, ye sons of Zeruiah? so let him curse, because the LORD hath said unto him, Curse David. Who shall then say, Wherefore hast thou done so?

И Давид каза на Ависей и на всичките си слуги: Ето, синът ми, който е излязъл от тялото ми, търси живота ми — колко повече сега този вениаминец! Оставете го да кълне, защото ГОСПОД му е казал.

And David said to Abishai, and to all his servants, Behold, my son, which came forth of my bowels, seeketh my life: how much more now may this Benjamite do it? let him alone, and let him curse; for the LORD hath bidden him.

Може би ГОСПОД ще погледне на бедствието ми и ГОСПОД ще ми върне добро вместо неговата клетва днес.

It may be that the LORD will look on mine affliction, and that the LORD will requite me good for his cursing this day.

Така Давид и мъжете му вървяха по пътя, а Семей вървеше край хълма до него и докато вървеше, кълнеше и хвърляше камъни върху него, и хвърляше пръст.

And as David and his men went by the way, Shimei went along on the hill's side over against him, and cursed as he went, and threw stones at him, and cast dust.

И царят и целият народ, който беше с него, пристигнаха уморени при водата и той си отдъхна там.

And the king, and all the people that were with him, came weary, and refreshed themselves there.

А Авесалом и целият народ, израилевите мъже, дойдоха в Ерусалим и Ахитофел беше с него.

And Absalom, and all the people the men of Israel, came to Jerusalem, and Ahithophel with him.

И когато архиецът Хусай, приятелят на Давид, дойде при Авесалом, Хусай каза на Авесалом: Да живее царят! Да живее царят!

And it came to pass, when Hushai the Archite, David's friend, was come unto Absalom, that Hushai said unto Absalom, God save the king, God save the king.

А Авесалом каза на Хусай: Това ли е добрината ти към приятеля ти? Защо не отиде с приятеля си?

And Absalom said to Hushai, Is this thy kindness to thy friend? why wentest thou not with thy friend?

Тогава Хусай каза на Авесалом: Не, защото, когОто ГОСПОД избере и този народ, и всичките израилеви мъже, негов ще бъда аз и с него ще остана.

And Hushai said unto Absalom, Nay; but whom the LORD, and this people, and all the men of Israel, choose, his will I be, and with him will I abide.

Освен това на кого да служа? Няма ли да бъда пред неговия син? Както съм служил пред баща ти, така ще бъда и пред теб!

And again, whom should I serve? should I not serve in the presence of his son? as I have served in thy father's presence, so will I be in thy presence.

Тогава Авесалом каза на Ахитофел: Дайте съвет какво да правим.

Then said Absalom to Ahithophel, Give counsel among you what we shall do.

И Ахитофел каза на Авесалом: Влез при наложниците на баща си, които е оставил да пазят къщата. Тогава целият Израил ще чуе, че си станал омразен на баща си, и ръцете на всички, които са с теб, ще се укрепят.

And Ahithophel said unto Absalom, Go in unto thy father's concubines, which he hath left to keep the house; and all Israel shall hear that thou art abhorred of thy father: then shall the hands of all that are with thee be strong.

И разпънаха шатра за Авесалом на покрива и Авесалом влезе при наложниците на баща си пред очите на целия Израил.

So they spread Absalom a tent upon the top of the house; and Absalom went in unto his father's concubines in the sight of all Israel.

А съветът на Ахитофел, който той даваше в онези дни, беше като че ли се допитваха до слово от Бога; така беше всеки съвет на Ахитофел както за Давид, така и за Авесалом.

And the counsel of Ahithophel, which he counselled in those days, was as if a man had enquired at the oracle of God: so was all the counsel of Ahithophel both with David and with Absalom.
