Psalms 1

Phước cho người nào chẳng theo mưu kế của kẻ dữ, Chẳng đứng trong đường tội nhơn, Không ngồi chỗ của kẻ nhạo báng;

Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor standeth in the way of sinners, nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful.

Song lấy làm vui vẻ về luật pháp của Ðức Giê-hô-va, Và suy gẫm luật pháp ấy ngày và đêm.

But his delight is in the law of the LORD; and in his law doth he meditate day and night.

Người ấy sẽ như cây trồng gần dòng nước, Sanh bông trái theo thì tiết, Lá nó cũng chẳng tàn héo; Mọi sự người làm đều sẽ thạnh vượng.

And he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that bringeth forth his fruit in his season; his leaf also shall not wither; and whatsoever he doeth shall prosper.

Kẻ ác chẳng như vậy đâu; Nhưng chúng nó khác nào rơm rác gió thổi bay đi.

The ungodly are not so: but are like the chaff which the wind driveth away.

Bởi cớ ấy kẻ ác chẳng đứng nổi trong ngày đoán xét, Tội nhơn cũng không được vào hội người công bình.

Therefore the ungodly shall not stand in the judgment, nor sinners in the congregation of the righteous.

Vì Ðức Giê-hô-va biết đường người công bình, Song đường kẻ ác rồi bị diệt vong.

For the LORD knoweth the way of the righteous: but the way of the ungodly shall perish.
