Psalms 27

داؤد کا زبور۔ رب میری روشنی اور میری نجات ہے، مَیں کس سے ڈروں؟ رب میری جان کی پناہ گاہ ہے، مَیں کس سے دہشت کھاؤں؟

The LORD is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? the LORD is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?

جب شریر مجھ پر حملہ کریں تاکہ مجھے ہڑپ کر لیں، جب میرے مخالف اور دشمن مجھ پر ٹوٹ پڑیں تو وہ ٹھوکر کھا کر گر جائیں گے۔

When the wicked, even mine enemies and my foes, came upon me to eat up my flesh, they stumbled and fell.

گو فوج مجھے گھیر لے میرا دل خوف نہیں کھائے گا، گو میرے خلاف جنگ چھڑ جائے میرا بھروسا قائم رہے گا۔

Though an host should encamp against me, my heart shall not fear: though war should rise against me, in this will I be confident.

رب سے میری ایک گزارش ہے، مَیں ایک ہی بات چاہتا ہوں۔ یہ کہ جیتے جی رب کے گھر میں رہ کر اُس کی شفقت سے لطف اندوز ہو سکوں، کہ اُس کی سکونت گاہ میں ٹھہر کر محوِ خیال رہ سکوں۔

One thing have I desired of the LORD, that will I seek after; that I may dwell in the house of the LORD all the days of my life, to behold the beauty of the LORD, and to enquire in his temple.

کیونکہ مصیبت کے دن وہ مجھے اپنی سکونت گاہ میں پناہ دے گا، مجھے اپنے خیمے میں چھپا لے گا، مجھے اُٹھا کر اونچی چٹان پر رکھے گا۔

For in the time of trouble he shall hide me in his pavilion: in the secret of his tabernacle shall he hide me; he shall set me up upon a rock.

اب مَیں اپنے دشمنوں پر سربلند ہوں گا، اگرچہ اُنہوں نے مجھے گھیر رکھا ہے۔ مَیں اُس کے خیمے میں خوشی کے نعرے لگا کر قربانیاں پیش کروں گا، ساز بجا کر رب کی مدح سرائی کروں گا۔

And now shall mine head be lifted up above mine enemies round about me: therefore will I offer in his tabernacle sacrifices of joy; I will sing, yea, I will sing praises unto the LORD.

اے رب، میری آواز سن جب مَیں تجھے پکاروں، مجھ پر مہربانی کر کے میری سن۔

Hear, O LORD, when I cry with my voice: have mercy also upon me, and answer me.

میرا دل تجھے یاد دلاتا ہے کہ تُو نے خود فرمایا، ”میرے چہرے کے طالب رہو!“ اے رب، مَیں تیرے ہی چہرے کا طالب رہا ہوں۔

When thou saidst, Seek ye my face; my heart said unto thee, Thy face, LORD, will I seek.

اپنے چہرے کو مجھ سے چھپائے نہ رکھ، اپنے خادم کو غصے سے اپنے حضور سے نہ نکال۔ کیونکہ تُو ہی میرا سہارا رہا ہے۔ اے میری نجات کے خدا، مجھے نہ چھوڑ، مجھے ترک نہ کر۔

Hide not thy face far from me; put not thy servant away in anger: thou hast been my help; leave me not, neither forsake me, O God of my salvation.

کیونکہ میرے ماں باپ نے مجھے ترک کر دیا ہے، لیکن رب مجھے قبول کر کے اپنے گھر میں لائے گا۔

When my father and my mother forsake me, then the LORD will take me up.

اے رب، مجھے اپنی راہ کی تربیت دے، ہموار راستے پر میری راہنمائی کر تاکہ اپنے دشمنوں سے محفوظ رہوں۔

Teach me thy way, O LORD, and lead me in a plain path, because of mine enemies.

مجھے مخالفوں کے لالچ میں نہ آنے دے، کیونکہ جھوٹے گواہ میرے خلاف اُٹھ کھڑے ہوئے ہیں جو تشدد کرنے کے لئے تیار ہیں۔

Deliver me not over unto the will of mine enemies: for false witnesses are risen up against me, and such as breathe out cruelty.

لیکن میرا پورا ایمان یہ ہے کہ مَیں زندوں کے ملک میں رہ کر رب کی بھلائی دیکھوں گا۔

I had fainted, unless I had believed to see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

رب کے انتظار میں رہ! مضبوط اور دلیر ہو، اور رب کے انتظار میں رہ!

Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, I say, on the LORD.
