Psalms 114

جب اسرائیل مصر سے روانہ ہوا اور یعقوب کا گھرانا اجنبی زبان بولنے والی قوم سے نکل آیا

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

تو یہوداہ اللہ کا مقدِس بن گیا اور اسرائیل اُس کی بادشاہی۔

Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

یہ دیکھ کر سمندر بھاگ گیا اور دریائے یردن پیچھے ہٹ گیا۔

The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.

پہاڑ مینڈھوں کی طرح کودنے اور پہاڑیاں جوان بھیڑبکریوں کی طرح پھاندنے لگیں۔

The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

اے سمندر، کیا ہوا کہ تُو بھاگ گیا ہے؟ اے یردن، کیا ہوا کہ تُو پیچھے ہٹ گیا ہے؟

What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

اے پہاڑو، کیا ہوا کہ تم مینڈھوں کی طرح کودنے لگے ہو؟ اے پہاڑیو، کیا ہوا کہ تم جوان بھیڑبکریوں کی طرح پھاندنے لگی ہو؟

Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?

اے زمین، رب کے حضور، یعقوب کے خدا کے حضور لرز اُٹھ،

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

اُس کے سامنے تھرتھرا جس نے چٹان کو جوہڑ میں اور سخت پتھر کو چشمے میں بدل دیا۔

Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
