Hosea 5

اے امامو، سنو میری بات! اے اسرائیل کے گھرانے، توجہ دے! اے شاہی خاندان، میرے پیغام پر غور کر! تم پر فیصلہ ہے، کیونکہ اپنی بُت پرستی سے تم نے مِصفاہ میں پھندا لگا دیا، تبور پہاڑ پر جال بچھا دیا

Hear ye this, O priests; and hearken, ye house of Israel; and give ye ear, O house of the king; for judgment is toward you, because ye have been a snare on Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.

اور شِطّیم میں گڑھا کھدوا لیا ہے۔ خبردار! مَیں تم سب کو سزا دوں گا۔

And the revolters are profound to make slaughter, though I have been a rebuker of them all.

مَیں تو اسرائیل کو خوب جانتا ہوں، وہ مجھ سے چھپا نہیں رہ سکتا۔ اسرائیل اب عصمت فروش بن گیا ہے، وہ ناپاک ہے۔

I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me: for now, O Ephraim, thou committest whoredom, and Israel is defiled.

اُن کی بُری حرکتیں اُنہیں اُن کے خدا کے پاس واپس آنے نہیں دیتیں۔ کیونکہ اُن کے اندر زناکاری کی روح ہے، اور وہ رب کو نہیں جانتے۔

They will not frame their doings to turn unto their God: for the spirit of whoredoms is in the midst of them, and they have not known the LORD.

اسرائیل کا تکبر اُس کے خلاف گواہی دیتا ہے، اور وہ اپنے قصور کے باعث گر جائے گا۔ یہوداہ بھی اُس کے ساتھ گر جائے گا۔

And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore shall Israel and Ephraim fall in their iniquity; Judah also shall fall with them.

تب وہ اپنی بھیڑبکریوں اور گائےبَیلوں کو لے کر رب کو تلاش کریں گے، لیکن بےفائدہ۔ وہ اُسے پا نہیں سکیں گے، کیونکہ وہ اُنہیں چھوڑ کر چلا گیا ہے۔

They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek the LORD; but they shall not find him; he hath withdrawn himself from them.

اُنہوں نے رب سے بےوفا ہو کر ناجائز اولاد پیدا کی ہے۔ اب نیا چاند اُنہیں اُن کی موروثی زمینوں سمیت ہڑپ کر لے گا۔

They have dealt treacherously against the LORD: for they have begotten strange children: now shall a month devour them with their portions.

جِبعہ میں نرسنگا پھونکو، رامہ میں تُرم بجاؤ! بیت آون میں جنگ کے نعرے بلند کرو۔ اے بن یمین، دشمن تیرے پیچھے پڑ گیا ہے!

Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: cry aloud at Beth–aven, after thee, O Benjamin.

جس دن مَیں سزا دوں گا اُس دن اسرائیل ویران و سنسان ہو جائے گا۔ دھیان دو کہ مَیں نے اسرائیلی قبیلوں کے بارے میں قابلِ اعتماد باتیں بتائی ہیں۔

Ephraim shall be desolate in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.

یہوداہ کے راہنما اُن جیسے بن گئے ہیں جو ناجائز طور پر اپنی زمین کی حدود بڑھا دیتے ہیں۔ جواب میں مَیں اپنا غضب موسلادھار بارش کی طرح اُن پر نازل کروں گا۔

The princes of Judah were like them that remove the bound: therefore I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.

اسرائیل پر اِس لئے ظلم ہو رہا ہے اور اُس کا حق مارا جا رہا ہے کہ وہ بےمعنی بُتوں کے پیچھے بھاگنے پر تُلا ہوا ہے۔

Ephraim is oppressed and broken in judgment, because he willingly walked after the commandment.

مَیں اسرائیل کے لئے پیپ اور یہوداہ کے لئے سڑاہٹ کا باعث بنوں گا۔

Therefore will I be unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.

اسرائیل نے اپنی بیماری دیکھی اور یہوداہ نے اپنے ناسور پر غور کیا۔ تب اسرائیل نے اسور کی طرف رجوع کیا اور اسور کے عظیم بادشاہ کو پیغام بھیج کر اُس سے مدد مانگی۔ لیکن وہ تمہیں شفا نہیں دے سکتا، وہ تمہارے ناسور کا علاج نہیں کر سکتا۔

When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah saw his wound, then went Ephraim to the Assyrian, and sent to king Jareb: yet could he not heal you, nor cure you of your wound.

کیونکہ مَیں شیرببر کی طرح اسرائیل پر ٹوٹ پڑوں گا اور جوان شیرببر کی طرح یہوداہ پر جھپٹ پڑوں گا۔ مَیں اُنہیں پھاڑ کر اپنے ساتھ گھسیٹ لے جاؤں گا، اور کوئی اُنہیں نہیں بچائے گا۔

For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will take away, and none shall rescue him.

پھر مَیں اپنے گھر واپس جا کر اُس وقت تک اُن سے دُور رہوں گا جب تک وہ اپنا قصور تسلیم کر کے میرے چہرے کو تلاش نہ کریں۔ کیونکہ جب وہ مصیبت میں پھنس جائیں گے تب ہی مجھے تلاش کریں گے۔“

I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me early.
