Ezekiel 2

وہ بولا، ”اے آدم زاد، کھڑا ہو جا! مَیں تجھ سے بات کرنا چاہتا ہوں۔“

And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak unto thee.

جوں ہی وہ مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا تو روح نے مجھ میں آ کر مجھے کھڑا کر دیا۔ پھر مَیں نے آواز کو یہ کہتے ہوئے سنا،

And the spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet, that I heard him that spake unto me.

”اے آدم زاد، مَیں تجھے اسرائیلیوں کے پاس بھیج رہا ہوں، ایک ایسی سرکش قوم کے پاس جس نے مجھ سے بغاوت کی ہے۔ شروع سے لے کر آج تک وہ اپنے باپ دادا سمیت مجھ سے بےوفا رہے ہیں۔

And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to a rebellious nation that hath rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me, even unto this very day.

جن لوگوں کے پاس مَیں تجھے بھیج رہا ہوں وہ بےشرم اور ضدی ہیں۔ اُنہیں وہ کچھ سنا دے جو رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے۔

For they are impudent children and stiffhearted. I do send thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD.

خواہ یہ باغی سنیں یا نہ سنیں، وہ ضرور جان لیں گے کہ ہمارے درمیان نبی برپا ہوا ہے۔

And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.

اے آدم زاد، اُن سے یا اُن کی باتوں سے مت ڈرنا۔ گو تُو کانٹےدار جھاڑیوں سے گھرا رہے گا اور تجھے بچھوؤں کے درمیان بسنا پڑے گا توبھی خوف زدہ نہ ہو۔ نہ اُن کی باتوں سے خوف کھانا، نہ اُن کے رویے سے دہشت کھانا۔ کیونکہ یہ قوم سرکش ہے۔

And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns be with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they be a rebellious house.

خواہ یہ سنیں یا نہ سنیں لازم ہے کہ تُو میرے پیغامات اُنہیں سنائے۔ کیونکہ وہ باغی ہی ہیں۔

And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear: for they are most rebellious.

اے آدم زاد، جب مَیں تجھ سے ہم کلام ہوں گا تو دھیان دے اور اِس سرکش قوم کی طرح بغاوت مت کرنا۔ اپنے منہ کو کھول کر وہ کچھ کھا جو مَیں تجھے کھلاتا ہوں۔“

But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; Be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that I give thee.

تب ایک ہاتھ میری طرف بڑھا ہوا نظر آیا جس میں طومار تھا۔

And when I looked, behold, an hand was sent unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;

طومار کو کھولا گیا تو مَیں نے دیکھا کہ اُس میں آگے بھی اور پیچھے بھی ماتم اور آہ و زاری قلم بند ہوئی ہے۔

And he spread it before me; and it was written within and without: and there was written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
