Daniel 8

بیل شَضَر بادشاہ کے دورِ حکومت کے تیسرے سال میں مَیں، دانیال نے ایک اَور رویا دیکھی۔

In the third year of the reign of king Belshazzar a vision appeared unto me, even unto me Daniel, after that which appeared unto me at the first.

رویا میں مَیں صوبہ عیلام کے قلعہ بند شہر سوسن کی نہر اُولائی کے کنارے پر کھڑا تھا۔

And I saw in a vision; and it came to pass, when I saw, that I was at Shushan in the palace, which is in the province of Elam; and I saw in a vision, and I was by the river of Ulai.

جب مَیں نے اپنی نگاہ اُٹھائی تو کنارے پر میرے سامنے ہی ایک مینڈھا کھڑا تھا۔ اُس کے دو بڑے سینگ تھے جن میں سے ایک زیادہ بڑا تھا۔ لیکن وہ دوسرے کے بعد ہی بڑا ہو گیا تھا۔

Then I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there stood before the river a ram which had two horns: and the two horns were high; but one was higher than the other, and the higher came up last.

میری نظروں کے سامنے مینڈھا مغرب، شمال اور جنوب کی طرف سینگ مارنے لگا۔ نہ کوئی جانور اُس کا مقابلہ کر سکا، نہ کوئی اُس کے قابو سے بچا سکا۔ جو جی چاہے کرتا تھا اور ہوتے ہوتے بہت بڑا ہو گیا۔

I saw the ram pushing westward, and northward, and southward; so that no beasts might stand before him, neither was there any that could deliver out of his hand; but he did according to his will, and became great.

مَیں اُس پر غور ہی کر رہا تھا کہ اچانک مغرب سے آتے ہوئے ایک بکرا دکھائی دیا۔ اُس کی آنکھوں کے درمیان زبردست سینگ تھا، اور وہ زمین کو چھوئے بغیر چل رہا تھا۔ پوری دنیا کو عبور کر کے

And as I was considering, behold, an he goat came from the west on the face of the whole earth, and touched not the ground: and the goat had a notable horn between his eyes.

وہ دو سینگوں والے اُس مینڈھے کے پاس پہنچ گیا جو مَیں نے نہر کے کنارے کھڑا دیکھا تھا۔ بڑے طیش میں آ کر وہ اُس پر ٹوٹ پڑا۔

And he came to the ram that had two horns, which I had seen standing before the river, and ran unto him in the fury of his power.

مَیں نے دیکھا کہ وہ مینڈھے کے پہلو سے ٹکرا گیا۔ بڑے غصے میں اُس نے اُسے یوں مارا کہ مینڈھے کے دونوں سینگ ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو گئے۔ اِس بےبس حالت میں مینڈھا اُس کا مقابلہ نہ کر سکا۔ بکرے نے اُسے زمین پر پٹخ کر پاؤں تلے کچل دیا۔ کوئی نہیں تھا جو مینڈھے کو بکرے کے قابو سے بچائے۔

And I saw him come close unto the ram, and he was moved with choler against him, and smote the ram, and brake his two horns: and there was no power in the ram to stand before him, but he cast him down to the ground, and stamped upon him: and there was none that could deliver the ram out of his hand.

بکرا نہایت طاقت ور ہو گیا۔ لیکن طاقت کے عروج پر ہی اُس کا بڑا سینگ ٹوٹ گیا، اور اُس کی جگہ مزید چار زبردست سینگ نکل آئے جن کا رُخ آسمان کی چار سمتوں کی طرف تھا۔

Therefore the he goat waxed very great: and when he was strong, the great horn was broken; and for it came up four notable ones toward the four winds of heaven.

اُن کے ایک سینگ میں سے ایک اَور سینگ نکل آیا جو ابتدا میں چھوٹا تھا۔ لیکن وہ جنوب، مشرق اور خوب صورت ملک اسرائیل کی طرف بڑھتے بڑھتے بہت طاقت ور ہو گیا۔

And out of one of them came forth a little horn, which waxed exceeding great, toward the south, and toward the east, and toward the pleasant land.

پھر وہ آسمانی فوج تک بڑھ گیا۔ وہاں اُس نے کچھ فوجیوں اور ستاروں کو زمین پر پھینک کر پاؤں تلے کچل دیا۔

And it waxed great, even to the host of heaven; and it cast down some of the host and of the stars to the ground, and stamped upon them.

وہ بڑھتے بڑھتے آسمانی فوج کے کمانڈر تک بھی پہنچ گیا اور اُسے اُن قربانیوں سے محروم کر دیا جو اُسے روزانہ پیش کی جاتی تھیں۔ ساتھ ساتھ سینگ نے اُس کے مقدِس کے مقام کو تباہ کر دیا۔

Yea, he magnified himself even to the prince of the host, and by him the daily sacrifice was taken away, and the place of his sanctuary was cast down.

اُس کی فوج سے روزانہ کی قربانیوں کی بےحرمتی ہوئی، اور سینگ نے سچائی کو زمین پر پٹخ دیا۔ جو کچھ بھی اُس نے کیا اُس میں وہ کامیاب رہا۔

And an host was given him against the daily sacrifice by reason of transgression, and it cast down the truth to the ground; and it practised, and prospered.

پھر مَیں نے دو مُقدّس ہستیوں کو آپس میں بات کرتے ہوئے سنا۔ ایک نے پوچھا، ”اِس رویا میں پیش کئے گئے حالات کب تک قائم رہیں گے، یعنی جو کچھ روزانہ کی قربانیوں کے ساتھ ہو رہا ہے، یہ تباہ کن بےحرمتی اور یہ بات کہ مقدِس کو پامال کیا جا رہا ہے؟“

Then I heard one saint speaking, and another saint said unto that certain saint which spake, How long shall be the vision concerning the daily sacrifice, and the transgression of desolation, to give both the sanctuary and the host to be trodden under foot?

دوسرے نے جواب میں مجھے بتایا، ”حالات 2,300 شاموں اور صبحوں تک یوں ہی رہیں گے۔ اِس کے بعد مقدِس کو نئے سرے سے مخصوص و مُقدّس کیا جائے گا۔“

And he said unto me, Unto two thousand and three hundred days; then shall the sanctuary be cleansed.

مَیں دیکھے ہوئے واقعات کو سمجھنے کی کوشش کر ہی رہا تھا کہ کوئی میرے سامنے کھڑا ہوا جو مرد جیسا لگ رہا تھا۔

And it came to pass, when I, even I Daniel, had seen the vision, and sought for the meaning, then, behold, there stood before me as the appearance of a man.

ساتھ ساتھ مَیں نے نہر اُولائی کی طرف سے کسی شخص کی آواز سنی جس نے کہا، ”اے جبرائیل، اِس آدمی کو رویا کا مطلب بتا دے۔“

And I heard a man's voice between the banks of Ulai, which called, and said, Gabriel, make this man to understand the vision.

فرشتہ میرے قریب آیا تو مَیں سخت گھبرا کر منہ کے بل گر گیا۔ لیکن وہ بولا، ”اے آدم زاد، جان لے کہ اِس رویا کا تعلق آخری زمانے سے ہے۔“

So he came near where I stood: and when he came, I was afraid, and fell upon my face: but he said unto me, Understand, O son of man: for at the time of the end shall be the vision.

جب وہ مجھ سے بات کر رہا تھا تو مَیں مدہوش حالت میں منہ کے بل پڑا رہا۔ اب فرشتے نے مجھے چھو کر پاؤں پر کھڑا کیا۔

Now as he was speaking with me, I was in a deep sleep on my face toward the ground: but he touched me, and set me upright.

وہ بولا، ”مَیں تجھے سمجھا دیتا ہوں کہ اُس آخری زمانے میں کیا کچھ پیش آئے گا جب اللہ کا غضب نازل ہو گا۔ کیونکہ رویا کا تعلق آخری زمانے سے ہے۔

And he said, Behold, I will make thee know what shall be in the last end of the indignation: for at the time appointed the end shall be.

دو سینگوں کے جس مینڈھے کو تُو نے دیکھا وہ مادی اور فارس کے بادشاہوں کی نمائندگی کرتا ہے۔

The ram which thou sawest having two horns are the kings of Media and Persia.

لمبے بالوں کا بکرا یونان کا بادشاہ ہے۔ اُس کی آنکھوں کے درمیان لگا بڑا سینگ یونانی شہنشاہی کا پہلا بادشاہ ہے۔

And the rough goat is the king of Grecia: and the great horn that is between his eyes is the first king.

تُو نے دیکھا کہ یہ سینگ ٹوٹ گیا اور اُس کی جگہ چار سینگ نکل آئے۔ اِس کا مطلب ہے کہ پہلی بادشاہی سے چار اَور نکل آئیں گی۔ لیکن چاروں کی طاقت پہلی کی نسبت کم ہو گی۔

Now that being broken, whereas four stood up for it, four kingdoms shall stand up out of the nation, but not in his power.

اُن کی حکومت کے آخری ایام میں بےوفاؤں کی بدکرداری عروج تک پہنچ گئی ہو گی۔ اُس وقت ایک گستاخ اور سازش کا ماہر بادشاہ تخت پر بیٹھے گا۔

And in the latter time of their kingdom, when the transgressors are come to the full, a king of fierce countenance, and understanding dark sentences, shall stand up.

وہ بہت طاقت ور ہو جائے گا، لیکن یہ اُس کی اپنی طاقت نہیں ہو گی۔ وہ حیرت انگیز بربادی کا باعث بنے گا، اور جو کچھ بھی کرے گا اُس میں کامیاب ہو گا۔ وہ زورآوروں اور مُقدّس قوم کو تباہ کرے گا۔

And his power shall be mighty, but not by his own power: and he shall destroy wonderfully, and shall prosper, and practise, and shall destroy the mighty and the holy people.

اپنی سمجھ اور فریب کے ذریعے وہ کامیاب رہے گا۔ تب وہ متکبر ہو جائے گا۔ جب لوگ اپنے آپ کو محفوظ سمجھیں گے تو وہ اُنہیں موت کے گھاٹ اُتارے گا۔ آخرکار وہ حکمرانوں کے حکمران کے خلاف بھی اُٹھے گا۔ لیکن وہ پاش پاش ہو جائے گا، البتہ انسانی ہاتھ سے نہیں۔

And through his policy also he shall cause craft to prosper in his hand; and he shall magnify himself in his heart, and by peace shall destroy many: he shall also stand up against the Prince of princes; but he shall be broken without hand.

اے دانیال، شاموں اور صبحوں کے بارے میں جو رویا تجھ پر ظاہر ہوئی وہ سچی ہے۔ لیکن فی الحال اُسے پوشیدہ رکھ، کیونکہ یہ واقعات ابھی پیش نہیں آئیں گے بلکہ بہت دنوں کے گزر جانے کے بعد ہی۔“

And the vision of the evening and the morning which was told is true: wherefore shut thou up the vision; for it shall be for many days.

اِس کے بعد مَیں، دانیال نڈھال ہو کر کئی دنوں تک بیمار رہا۔ پھر مَیں اُٹھا اور بادشاہ کی خدمت میں دوبارہ اپنے فرائض ادا کرنے لگا۔ مَیں رویا سے سخت پریشان تھا، اور کوئی نہیں تھا جو مجھے اُس کا مطلب بتا سکے۔

And I Daniel fainted, and was sick certain days; afterward I rose up, and did the king's business; and I was astonished at the vision, but none understood it.
