Psalms 75

Εις τον πρωτον μουσικον, επι Αλ−τασχεθ. Ψαλμος ωδης του Ασαφ. Δοξολογουμεν σε, Θεε, δοξολογουμεν, διοτι πλησιον ημων ειναι το ονομα σου κηρυττονται τα θαυμασια σου.

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

Οταν λαβω τον ωρισμενον καιρον, εγω θελω κρινει εν ευθυτητι.

When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.

Διελυθη η γη και παντες οι κατοικοι αυτης εγω εστερεωσα τους στυλους αυτης. Διαψαλμα.

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

Ειπα προς τους αφρονας, μη γινεσθε αφρονες και προς τους ασεβεις, μη υψωνετε κερας.

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

Μη υψονετε εις υψος το κερας υμων μη λαλειτε με τραχηλον σκληρον.

Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.

Διοτι ουτε εξ ανατολων, ουτε εκ δυσμων, ουτε εκ της ερημου, ερχεται υψωσις.

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

Αλλ ο Θεος ειναι ο Κριτης τουτον ταπεινονει και εκεινον υψονει.

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Διοτι εν τη χειρι του Κυριου ειναι ποτηριον πληρες κερασματος οινου ακρατου, και εκ τουτου θελει χυσει πλην την τρυγιαν αυτου θελουσι στραγγισει παντες οι ασεβεις της γης και θελουσι πιει.

For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

Εγω δε θελω κηρυττει διαπαντος, θελω ψαλμωδει εις τον Θεον του Ιακωβ.

But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

Και παντα τα κερατα των ασεβων θελω συντριψει τα δε κερατα των δικαιων θελουσιν υψωθη.

All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
