Psalms 129

Pieśń stopni. Bardzoć mię utrapili zaraz od młodości mojej, powiedz teraz Izraelu.

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth, may Israel now say:

Bardzoć mię utrapili od młodości mojej, wszakże mię nie przemogli.

Many a time have they afflicted me from my youth: yet they have not prevailed against me.

Po grzbiecie moim orali oracze, i długie przeganiali brózdy swoje.

The plowers plowed upon my back: they made long their furrows.

Ale Pan sprawiedliwy poprzecinał powrozy niezbożników.

The LORD is righteous: he hath cut asunder the cords of the wicked.

Zawstydzeni i nazad obróceni będą wszyscy, którzy Syon mają w nienawiści.

Let them all be confounded and turned back that hate Zion.

Będą jako trawa na dachu, która pierwej, niż odrośnie, usycha.

Let them be as the grass upon the housetops, which withereth afore it groweth up:

Z której żeńca nie może garści swej napełnić; ani naręcza swego ten, który wiąże snopy.

Wherewith the mower filleth not his hand; nor he that bindeth sheaves his bosom.

I mimo idący nie rzeką: Błogosławieństwo Pańskie niech będzie z wami; albo: Błogosławimy wam w imieniu Pańskiem.

Neither do they which go by say, The blessing of the LORD be upon you: we bless you in the name of the LORD.
