Malachi 3

Tenei te unga atu nei e ahau taku karere, mana e whakapai te ara i mua i ahau, a kitea rawatia ake, kua tae te Ariki, e rapua nei e koutou, ki tona temepara; na ko te anahera o te kawenata, ko ta koutou e ngakau nui na, nana, tera ia ka tae atu, e ai ta Ihowa o nga mano.

Siehe, ich sende meinen Boten, daß er den Weg bereite vor mir her. Und plötzlich wird zu seinem Tempel kommen der Herr, den ihr suchet; und der Engel des Bundes, den ihr begehret: siehe, er kommt, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen.

A ko wai e u i te ra e tae mai ai ia? ko wai hoki e tu, ina puta mai ia? e rite ana hoki ia ki te ahi a te kaitahi para, ki te mea horoi a te kaihoroi:

Wer aber kann den Tag seines Kommens ertragen, und wer wird bestehen bei seinem Erscheinen? Denn er wird wie das Feuer des Schmelzers sein und wie die Lauge der Wäscher.

Und er wird sitzen und das Silber schmelzen und reinigen; und er wird die Kinder Levi reinigen und sie läutern wie das Gold und wie das Silber, so daß sie Opfergaben dem Jehova darbringen werden in Gerechtigkeit.

Dann wird die Opfergabe Judas und Jerusalems Jehova angenehm sein wie in den Tagen vor alters und wie in den Jahren der Vorzeit.

Ka whakatata atu ano ahau ki a koutou ki te whakawa; ka hohoro ano ahau hei kaiwhakaatu i te he o nga kaimakutu, o te hunga puremu, o nga kaioati teka, o te hunga e tahae ana i nga utu o te kaimahi, i ta te pouaru, i ta te pani, e whakapeau ke an a i ta te manene, a kahore e wehi i ahau, e ai ta Ihowa o nga mano.

Und ich werde euch nahen zum Gericht und werde ein schneller Zeuge sein gegen die Zauberer und gegen die Ehebrecher und gegen die falsch Schwörenden; und gegen die, welche den Tagelöhner im Lohn, die Witwe und die Waise bedrücken und das Recht des Fremdlings beugen, und mich nicht fürchten, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen.

Denn ich, Jehova, ich verändere mich nicht; und ihr, Kinder Jakobs, ihr werdet nicht vernichtet werden

Seit den Tagen eurer Väter seid ihr von meinen Satzungen abgewichen und habt sie nicht bewahrt. Kehret um zu mir, so will ich zu euch umkehren, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen. Und ihr sprechet: Worin sollen wir umkehren?

E tahae ranei te tangata i ta te Atua? Heoi e tahae na koutou i taku. A e mea na koutou, He pehea ta matou tahae i tau? Ki nga whakatekau ra, me nga whakahere.

Darf ein Mensch Gott berauben, daß ihr mich beraubet? Und ihr sprechet: Worin haben wir dich beraubt? In dem Zehnten und in dem Hebopfer.

Kua kanga, kua kanga koutou: ko koutou hoki kei te tahae i taku, ara ko tenei iwi katoa.

Mit dem Fluche seid ihr verflucht, und doch beraubet ihr mich, ihr, die ganze Nation!

Bringet den ganzen Zehnten in das Vorratshaus, auf daß Speise in meinem Hause sei; und prüfet mich doch dadurch, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen, ob ich euch nicht die Fenster des Himmels auftun und euch Segen ausgießen werde bis zum Übermaß.

Und ich werde um euretwillen den Fresser schelten, daß er euch die Frucht des Bodens nicht verderbe; und der Weinstock auf dem Felde wird euch nicht mehr fehltragen, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen.

A ki ta nga iwi katoa, he manaakitanga koutou: no te mea he whenua ahuareka koutou, e ai ta Ihowa o nga mano.

Und alle Nationen werden euch glücklich preisen, denn ihr werdet ein Land des Wohlgefallens sein, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen.

He kaha a koutou kupu ki ahau, e ai ta Ihowa. Heoi e ki na koutou, He aha ta matou korero mou?

Eure Worte sind trotzig gegen mich gewesen, spricht Jehova. Und ihr sprechet: Was haben wir miteinander wider dich beredet?

Kua ki na koutou, Kahore he hua o te mahi ki te Atua: he aha hoki te rawa o ta matou pupuri i ana mea, o ta matou haere taua i te aroaro o Ihowa o nga mano?

Ihr sprechet: Vergeblich ist es, Gott zu dienen, und was für Gewinn, daß wir seiner Hut warteten, und daß wir in Trauer einhergingen vor Jehova der Heerscharen?

Na inaianei ki ta matou, ko te hunga whakakake nga mea koa; ae ra, ko nga kaimahi i te kino te hunga e hanga ake; ae ra, e whakamatautau ana ratou i te Atua, a kua mawhiti.

Und so preisen wir nun die Übermütigen glücklich: nicht nur sind die Täter der Gesetzlosigkeit aufgebaut worden, sondern sie haben auch Gott versucht und sind entronnen. -

Na, ko te hunga i wehi i a Ihowa, kei te korerorero ratou ki tona hoa, ki tona hoa; a ka tahuri a Ihowa, ka whakarongo, na ka tuhituhia he pukapuka whakamahara ki tona aroaro mo te hunga i wehi ki a Ihowa, i whakaaro hoki ki tona ingoa.

Da unterredeten sich die Jehova fürchten miteinander, und Jehova merkte auf und hörte; und ein Gedenkbuch ward vor ihm geschrieben für die, welche Jehova fürchten und welche seinen Namen achten.

Maku hoki ratou, e ai ta Ihowa o nga mano, i te ra e mahia ai e ahau he taonga motuhake; ka manawapa ano ahau ki a ratou, ka pera me te tangata e manawapa ana ki tana tama e mahi ana ki a ia.

Und sie werden mir, spricht Jehova der Heerscharen, zum Eigentum sein an dem Tage, den ich machen werde; und ich werde ihrer schonen, wie ein Mann seines Sohnes schont, der ihm dient.

Ko reira ano koutou hoki ai, kite ai i te rereketanga o ta te tika, o ta te kino, o ta tera e mahi ana ki te Atua, o ta tera kahore e mahi ki a ia.

Und ihr werdet wiederum den Unterschied sehen zwischen dem Gerechten und dem Gesetzlosen, zwischen dem, der Gott dient, und dem, der ihm nicht dient.
