Zechariah 5

Then I turned, and lifted up mine eyes, and looked, and behold a flying roll.

مَیں نے ایک بار پھر اپنی نظر اُٹھائی تو ایک اُڑتا ہوا طومار دیکھا۔

And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I answered, I see a flying roll; the length thereof is twenty cubits, and the breadth thereof ten cubits.

فرشتے نے پوچھا، ”تجھے کیا نظر آتا ہے؟“ مَیں نے جواب دیا، ”ایک اُڑتا ہوا طومار جو 30 فٹ لمبا اور 15 فٹ چوڑا ہے۔“

Then said he unto me, This is the curse that goeth forth over the face of the whole earth: for every one that stealeth shall be cut off as on this side according to it; and every one that sweareth shall be cut off as on that side according to it.

وہ بولا، ”اِس سے مراد ایک لعنت ہے جو پورے ملک پر بھیجی جائے گی۔ اِس طومار کے ایک طرف لکھا ہے کہ ہر چور کو مٹا دیا جائے گا اور دوسری طرف یہ کہ جھوٹی قَسم کھانے والے کو نیست کیا جائے گا۔

I will bring it forth, saith the LORD of hosts, and it shall enter into the house of the thief, and into the house of him that sweareth falsely by my name: and it shall remain in the midst of his house, and shall consume it with the timber thereof and the stones thereof.

رب الافواج فرماتا ہے، ’مَیں یہ بھیجوں گا تو چور اور میرے نام کی جھوٹی قَسم کھانے والے کے گھر میں لعنت داخل ہو گی اور اُس کے بیچ میں رہ کر اُسے لکڑی اور پتھر سمیت تباہ کر دے گی‘۔“

Then the angel that talked with me went forth, and said unto me, Lift up now thine eyes, and see what is this that goeth forth.

جو فرشتہ مجھ سے بات کر رہا تھا اُس نے آ کر مجھ سے کہا، ”اپنی نگاہ اُٹھا کر وہ دیکھ جو نکل کر آ رہا ہے۔“

And I said, What is it? And he said, This is an ephah that goeth forth. He said moreover, This is their resemblance through all the earth.

مَیں نے پوچھا، ”یہ کیا ہے؟“ اُس نے جواب دیا، ”یہ اناج کی پیمائش کرنے کی ٹوکری ہے۔ یہ پورے ملک میں نظر آتی ہے۔“

And, behold, there was lifted up a talent of lead: and this is a woman that sitteth in the midst of the ephah.

ٹوکری پر سیسے کا ڈھکنا تھا۔ اب وہ کھل گیا، اور ٹوکری میں بیٹھی ہوئی ایک عورت دکھائی دی۔

And he said, This is wickedness. And he cast it into the midst of the ephah; and he cast the weight of lead upon the mouth thereof.

فرشتہ بولا، ”اِس عورت سے مراد بےدینی ہے۔“ اُس نے عورت کو دھکا دے کر ٹوکری میں واپس کر دیا اور سیسے کا ڈھکنا زور سے بند کر دیا۔

Then lifted I up mine eyes, and looked, and, behold, there came out two women, and the wind was in their wings; for they had wings like the wings of a stork: and they lifted up the ephah between the earth and the heaven.

مَیں نے دوبارہ اپنی نظر اُٹھائی تو دو عورتوں کو دیکھا۔ اُن کے لق لق کے سے پَر تھے، اور اُڑتے وقت ہَوا اُن کے ساتھ تھی۔ ٹوکری کے پاس پہنچ کر وہ اُسے اُٹھا کر آسمان و زمین کے درمیان لے گئیں۔

Then said I to the angel that talked with me, Whither do these bear the ephah?

جو فرشتہ مجھ سے گفتگو کر رہا تھا اُس سے مَیں نے پوچھا، ”عورتیں ٹوکری کو کدھر لے جا رہی ہیں؟“

And he said unto me, To build it an house in the land of Shinar: and it shall be established, and set there upon her own base.

اُس نے جواب دیا، ”ملکِ بابل میں۔ وہاں وہ اُس کے لئے گھر بنا دیں گی۔ جب گھر تیار ہو گا تو ٹوکری وہاں اُس کی اپنی جگہ پر رکھی جائے گی۔“
