Zechariah 4

And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep,

جس فرشتے نے مجھ سے بات کی تھی وہ اب میرے پاس واپس آیا۔ اُس نے مجھے یوں جگا دیا جس طرح گہری نیند سونے والے کو جگایا جاتا ہے۔

And said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have looked, and behold a candlestick all of gold, with a bowl upon the top of it, and his seven lamps thereon, and seven pipes to the seven lamps, which are upon the top thereof:

اُس نے پوچھا، ”تجھے کیا نظر آتا ہے؟“ مَیں نے جواب دیا، ”خالص سونے کا شمع دان جس پر تیل کا پیالہ اور سات چراغ ہیں۔ ہر چراغ کے سات منہ ہیں۔

And two olive trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.

زیتون کے دو درخت بھی دکھائی دیتے ہیں۔ ایک درخت تیل کے پیالے کے دائیں طرف اور دوسرا اُس کے بائیں طرف ہے۔

So I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?

لیکن میرے آقا، اِن چیزوں کا مطلب کیا ہے؟“

Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

فرشتہ بولا، ”کیا یہ تجھے معلوم نہیں؟“ مَیں نے جواب دیا، ”نہیں، میرے آقا۔“

Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of the LORD unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my spirit, saith the LORD of hosts.

فرشتے نے مجھ سے کہا، ”زرُبابل کے لئے رب کا یہ پیغام ہے، ’رب الافواج فرماتا ہے کہ تُو نہ اپنی طاقت، نہ اپنی قوت سے بلکہ میرے روح سے ہی کامیاب ہو گا۔‘

Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the headstone thereof with shoutings, crying, Grace, grace unto it.

کیا راستے میں بڑا پہاڑ حائل ہے؟ زرُبابل کے سامنے وہ ہموار میدان بن جائے گا۔ اور جب زرُبابل رب کے گھر کا آخری پتھر لگائے گا تو حاضرین پکار اُٹھیں گے، ’مبارک ہو! مبارک ہو‘!“

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

رب کا کلام ایک بار پھر مجھ پر نازل ہوا،

The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto you.

”زرُبابل کے ہاتھوں نے اِس گھر کی بنیاد ڈالی، اور اُسی کے ہاتھ اُسے تکمیل تک پہنچائیں گے۔ تب تُو جان لے گا کہ رب الافواج نے مجھے تمہارے پاس بھیجا ہے۔

For who hath despised the day of small things? for they shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel with those seven; they are the eyes of the LORD, which run to and fro through the whole earth.

گو تعمیر کے آغاز میں بہت کم نظر آتا ہے توبھی اُس پر حقارت کی نگاہ نہ ڈالو۔ کیونکہ لوگ خوشی منائیں گے جب زرُبابل کے ہاتھ میں ساہول دیکھیں گے۔ (مذکورہ سات چراغ رب کی آنکھیں ہیں جو پوری دنیا کی گشت لگاتی رہتی ہیں)۔“

Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?

مَیں نے مزید پوچھا، ”شمع دان کے دائیں بائیں کے زیتون کے دو درختوں سے کیا مراد ہے؟

And I answered again, and said unto him, What be these two olive branches which through the two golden pipes empty the golden oil out of themselves?

یہاں سونے کے دو پائپ بھی نظر آتے ہیں جن سے زیتون کا سنہرا تیل بہہ نکلتا ہے۔ زیتون کی جو دو ٹہنیاں اُن کے ساتھ ہیں اُن کا مطلب کیا ہے؟“

And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these be? And I said, No, my lord.

فرشتے نے کہا، ”کیا تُو یہ نہیں جانتا؟“ مَیں بولا، ”نہیں، میرے آقا۔“

Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.

تب اُس نے فرمایا، ”یہ وہ دو مسح کئے ہوئے آدمی ہیں جو پوری دنیا کے مالک کے حضور کھڑے ہوتے ہیں۔“
