Zechariah 10

Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field.

بہار کے موسم میں رب سے بارش مانگو۔ کیونکہ وہی گھنے بادل بناتا ہے، وہی بارش برسا کر ہر ایک کو کھیت کی ہریالی مہیا کرتا ہے۔

For the idols have spoken vanity, and the diviners have seen a lie, and have told false dreams; they comfort in vain: therefore they went their way as a flock, they were troubled, because there was no shepherd.

تمہارے گھروں کے بُت فریب دیتے، تمہارے غیب دان جھوٹی رویا دیکھتے اور فریب دہ خواب سناتے ہیں۔ اُن کی تسلی عبث ہے۔ اِسی لئے قوم کو بھیڑبکریوں کی طرح یہاں سے چلا جانا پڑا۔ گلہ بان نہیں ہے، اِس لئے وہ مصیبت میں اُلجھے رہتے ہیں۔

Mine anger was kindled against the shepherds, and I punished the goats: for the LORD of hosts hath visited his flock the house of Judah, and hath made them as his goodly horse in the battle.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”میری قوم کے گلہ بانوں پر میرا غضب بھڑک اُٹھا ہے، اور جو بکرے اُس کی راہنمائی کر رہے ہیں اُنہیں مَیں سزا دوں گا۔ کیونکہ رب الافواج اپنے ریوڑ یہوداہ کے گھرانے کی دیکھ بھال کرے گا، اُسے جنگی گھوڑے جیسا شاندار بنا دے گا۔

Out of him came forth the corner, out of him the nail, out of him the battle bow, out of him every oppressor together.

یہوداہ سے کونے کا بنیادی پتھر، میخ، جنگ کی کمان اور تمام حکمران نکل آئیں گے۔

And they shall be as mighty men, which tread down their enemies in the mire of the streets in the battle: and they shall fight, because the LORD is with them, and the riders on horses shall be confounded.

سب سورمے کی مانند ہوں گے جو لڑتے وقت دشمن کو گلی کے کچرے میں کچل دیں گے۔ رب الافواج اُن کے ساتھ ہو گا، اِس لئے وہ لڑ کر غالب آئیں گے۔ مخالف گھڑسواروں کی بڑی رُسوائی ہو گی۔

And I will strengthen the house of Judah, and I will save the house of Joseph, and I will bring them again to place them; for I have mercy upon them: and they shall be as though I had not cast them off: for I am the LORD their God, and will hear them.

مَیں یہوداہ کے گھرانے کو تقویت دوں گا، یوسف کے گھرانے کو چھٹکارا دوں گا، ہاں اُن پر رحم کر کے اُنہیں دوبارہ وطن میں بسا دوں گا۔ تب اُن کی حالت سے پتا نہیں چلے گا کہ مَیں نے کبھی اُنہیں رد کیا تھا۔ کیونکہ مَیں رب اُن کا خدا ہوں، مَیں ہی اُن کی سنوں گا۔

And they of Ephraim shall be like a mighty man, and their heart shall rejoice as through wine: yea, their children shall see it, and be glad; their heart shall rejoice in the LORD.

افرائیم کے افراد سورمے سے بن جائیں گے، وہ یوں خوش ہو جائیں گے جس طرح دل مَے پینے سے خوش ہو جاتا ہے۔ اُن کے بچے یہ دیکھ کر باغ باغ ہو جائیں گے، اُن کے دل رب کی خوشی منائیں گے۔

I will hiss for them, and gather them; for I have redeemed them: and they shall increase as they have increased.

مَیں سیٹی بجا کر اُنہیں جمع کروں گا، کیونکہ مَیں نے فدیہ دے کر اُنہیں آزاد کر دیا ہے۔ تب وہ پہلے کی طرح بےشمار ہو جائیں گے۔

And I will sow them among the people: and they shall remember me in far countries; and they shall live with their children, and turn again.

مَیں اُنہیں بیج کی طرح مختلف قوموں میں بو کر منتشر کر دوں گا، لیکن دُوردراز علاقوں میں وہ مجھے یاد کریں گے۔ اور ایک دن وہ اپنی اولاد سمیت بچ کر واپس آئیں گے۔

I will bring them again also out of the land of Egypt, and gather them out of Assyria; and I will bring them into the land of Gilead and Lebanon; and place shall not be found for them.

مَیں اُنہیں مصر سے واپس لاؤں گا، اسور سے اکٹھا کروں گا۔ مَیں اُنہیں جِلعاد اور لبنان میں لاؤں گا، توبھی اُن کے لئے جگہ کافی نہیں ہو گی۔

And he shall pass through the sea with affliction, and shall smite the waves in the sea, and all the deeps of the river shall dry up: and the pride of Assyria shall be brought down, and the sceptre of Egypt shall depart away.

جب وہ مصیبت کے سمندر میں سے گزریں گے تو رب موجوں کو یوں مارے گا کہ سب کچھ پانی کی گہرائیوں تک خشک ہو جائے گا۔ اسور کا فخر خاک میں مل جائے گا، اور مصر کا شاہی عصا دُور ہو جائے گا۔

And I will strengthen them in the LORD; and they shall walk up and down in his name, saith the LORD.

مَیں اپنی قوم کو رب میں تقویت دوں گا، اور وہ اُس کا ہی نام لے کر زندگی گزاریں گے۔“ یہ رب کا فرمان ہے۔
