Psalms 99

The LORD reigneth; let the people tremble: he sitteth between the cherubims; let the earth be moved.

رب بادشاہ ہے، اقوام لرز اُٹھیں! وہ کروبی فرشتوں کے درمیان تخت نشین ہے، دنیا ڈگمگائے!

The LORD is great in Zion; and he is high above all the people.

کوہِ صیون پر رب عظیم ہے، تمام اقوام پر سربلند ہے۔

Let them praise thy great and terrible name; for it is holy.

وہ تیرے عظیم اور پُرجلال نام کی ستائش کریں، کیونکہ وہ قدوس ہے۔

The king's strength also loveth judgment; thou dost establish equity, thou executest judgment and righteousness in Jacob.

وہ بادشاہ کی قدرت کی تمجید کریں جو انصاف سے پیار کرتا ہے۔ اے اللہ، تُو ہی نے عدل قائم کیا، تُو ہی نے یعقوب میں انصاف اور راستی پیدا کی ہے۔

Exalt ye the LORD our God, and worship at his footstool; for he is holy.

رب ہمارے خدا کی تعظیم کرو، اُس کے پاؤں کی چوکی کے سامنے سجدہ کرو، کیونکہ وہ قدوس ہے۔

Moses and Aaron among his priests, and Samuel among them that call upon his name; they called upon the LORD, and he answered them.

موسیٰ اور ہارون اُس کے اماموں میں سے تھے۔ سموایل بھی اُن میں سے تھا جو اُس کا نام پکارتے تھے۔ اُنہوں نے رب کو پکارا، اور اُس نے اُن کی سنی۔

He spake unto them in the cloudy pillar: they kept his testimonies, and the ordinance that he gave them.

وہ بادل کے ستون میں سے اُن سے ہم کلام ہوا، اور وہ اُن احکام اور فرمانوں کے تابع رہے جو اُس نے اُنہیں دیئے تھے۔

Thou answeredst them, O LORD our God: thou wast a God that forgavest them, though thou tookest vengeance of their inventions.

اے رب ہمارے خدا، تُو نے اُن کی سنی۔ تُو جو اللہ ہے اُنہیں معاف کرتا رہا، البتہ اُنہیں اُن کی بُری حرکتوں کی سزا بھی دیتا رہا۔

Exalt the LORD our God, and worship at his holy hill; for the LORD our God is holy.

رب ہمارے خدا کی تعظیم کرو اور اُس کے مُقدّس پہاڑ پر سجدہ کرو، کیونکہ رب ہمارا خدا قدوس ہے۔
