Micah 1

The word of the LORD that came to Micah the Morasthite in the days of Jotham, Ahaz, and Hezekiah, kings of Judah, which he saw concerning Samaria and Jerusalem.

ذیل میں رب کا وہ کلام درج ہے جو میکاہ مورشتی پر یہوداہ کے بادشاہوں یوتام، آخز اور حِزقیاہ کے دورِ حکومت میں نازل ہوا۔ اُس نے سامریہ اور یروشلم کے بارے میں یہ باتیں رویا میں دیکھیں۔

Hear, all ye people; hearken, O earth, and all that therein is: and let the Lord GOD be witness against you, the Lord from his holy temple.

اے تمام اقوام، سنو! اے زمین اور جو کچھ اُس پر ہے، دھیان دو! رب قادرِ مطلق تمہارے خلاف گواہی دے، قادرِ مطلق اپنے مُقدّس گھر کی طرف سے گواہی دے۔

For, behold, the LORD cometh forth out of his place, and will come down, and tread upon the high places of the earth.

کیونکہ دیکھو، رب اپنی سکونت گاہ سے نکل رہا ہے تاکہ اُتر کر زمین کی بلندیوں پر چلے۔

And the mountains shall be molten under him, and the valleys shall be cleft, as wax before the fire, and as the waters that are poured down a steep place.

اُس کے پاؤں تلے پہاڑ پگھل جائیں گے اور وادیاں پھٹ جائیں گی، وہ آگ کے سامنے پگھلنے والے موم یا ڈھلان پر اُنڈیلے گئے پانی کی مانند ہوں گے۔

For the transgression of Jacob is all this, and for the sins of the house of Israel. What is the transgression of Jacob? is it not Samaria? and what are the high places of Judah? are they not Jerusalem?

یہ سب کچھ یعقوب کے جرم، اسرائیلی قوم کے گناہوں کے سبب سے ہو رہا ہے۔ کون یعقوب کے جرم کا ذمہ دار ہے؟ سامریہ! کس نے یہوداہ کو بلند جگہوں پر بُت پرستی کرنے کی تحریک دی؟ یروشلم نے!

Therefore I will make Samaria as an heap of the field, and as plantings of a vineyard: and I will pour down the stones thereof into the valley, and I will discover the foundations thereof.

اِس لئے رب فرماتا ہے، ”مَیں سامریہ کو کھلے میدان میں ملبے کا ڈھیر بنا دوں گا، اِتنی خالی جگہ کہ لوگ وہاں انگور کے باغ لگائیں گے۔ مَیں اُس کے پتھر وادی میں پھینک دوں گا، اُسے اِتنے دھڑام سے گرا دوں گا کہ اُس کی بنیادیں ہی نظر آئیں گی۔

And all the graven images thereof shall be beaten to pieces, and all the hires thereof shall be burned with the fire, and all the idols thereof will I lay desolate: for she gathered it of the hire of an harlot, and they shall return to the hire of an harlot.

اُس کے تمام بُت ٹکڑے ٹکڑے ہو جائیں گے، اُس کی عصمت فروشی کا پورا اجر نذرِ آتش ہو جائے گا۔ مَیں اُس کے دیوتاؤں کے تمام مجسموں کو تباہ کر دوں گا۔ کیونکہ سامریہ نے یہ تمام چیزیں اپنی عصمت فروشی سے حاصل کی ہیں، اور اب یہ سب اُس سے چھین لی جائیں گی اور دیگر عصمت فروشوں کو معاوضے کے طور پر دی جائیں گی۔“

Therefore I will wail and howl, I will go stripped and naked: I will make a wailing like the dragons, and mourning as the owls.

اِس لئے مَیں آہ و زاری کروں گا، ننگے پاؤں اور برہنہ پھروں گا، گیدڑوں کی طرح واویلا کروں گا، عقابی اُلّو کی طرح آہیں بھروں گا۔

For her wound is incurable; for it is come unto Judah; he is come unto the gate of my people, even to Jerusalem.

کیونکہ سامریہ کا زخم لاعلاج ہے، اور وہ ملکِ یہوداہ میں بھی پھیل گیا ہے، وہ میری قوم کے دروازے یعنی یروشلم تک پہنچ گیا ہے۔

Declare ye it not at Gath, weep ye not at all: in the house of Aphrah roll thyself in the dust.

فلستی شہر جات میں یہ بات نہ بتاؤ، اُنہیں اپنے آنسو نہ دکھاؤ۔ بیت لعفرہ میں خاک میں لوٹ پوٹ ہو جاؤ۔

Pass ye away, thou inhabitant of Saphir, having thy shame naked: the inhabitant of Zaanan came not forth in the mourning of Beth–ezel; he shall receive of you his standing.

اے سفیر کے رہنے والو، برہنہ اور شرم سار ہو کر یہاں سے گزر جاؤ۔ ضانان کے باشندے نکلیں گے نہیں۔ بیت ایضل ماتم کرے گا جب تم سے ہر سہارا چھین لیا جائے گا۔

For the inhabitant of Maroth waited carefully for good: but evil came down from the LORD unto the gate of Jerusalem.

ماروت کے بسنے والے اپنے مال کے لئے پیچ و تاب کھا رہے ہیں، کیونکہ رب کی طرف سے آفت نازل ہو کر یروشلم کے دروازے تک پہنچ گئی ہے۔

O thou inhabitant of Lachish, bind the chariot to the swift beast: she is the beginning of the sin to the daughter of Zion: for the transgressions of Israel were found in thee.

اے لکیس کے باشندو، گھوڑوں کو رتھ میں جوت کر بھاگ جاؤ۔ کیونکہ ابتدا میں تم ہی صیون بیٹی کے لئے گناہ کا باعث بن گئے، تم ہی میں وہ جرائم موجود تھے جو اسرائیل سے سرزد ہو رہے ہیں۔

Therefore shalt thou give presents to Moresheth–gath: the houses of Achzib shall be a lie to the kings of Israel.

اِس لئے تمہیں تحفے دے کر مورشت جات کو رُخصت کرنی پڑے گی۔ اکزیب کے گھر اسرائیل کے بادشاہوں کے لئے فریب دہ ثابت ہوں گے۔

Yet will I bring an heir unto thee, O inhabitant of Mareshah: he shall come unto Adullam the glory of Israel.

اے مریسہ کے لوگو، مَیں ہونے دوں گا کہ ایک قبضہ کرنے والا تم پر حملہ کرے گا۔ تب اسرائیل کا جلال عدُلام تک پہنچے گا۔

Make thee bald, and poll thee for thy delicate children; enlarge thy baldness as the eagle; for they are gone into captivity from thee.

اے صیون بیٹی، اپنے بال کٹوا کر گِدھ جیسی گنجی ہو جا۔ اپنے لاڈلے بچوں پر ماتم کر، کیونکہ وہ قیدی بن کر تجھ سے دُور ہو جائیں گے۔
