Isaiah 66

Thus saith the LORD, The heaven is my throne, and the earth is my footstool: where is the house that ye build unto me? and where is the place of my rest?

رب فرماتا ہے، ”آسمان میرا تخت ہے اور زمین میرے پاؤں کی چوکی، تو پھر وہ گھر کہاں ہے جو تم میرے لئے بناؤ گے؟ وہ جگہ کہاں ہے جہاں مَیں آرام کروں گا؟“

For all those things hath mine hand made, and all those things have been, saith the LORD: but to this man will I look, even to him that is poor and of a contrite spirit, and trembleth at my word.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”میرے ہاتھ نے یہ سب کچھ بنایا، تب ہی یہ سب کچھ وجود میں آیا۔ اور مَیں اُسی کا خیال رکھتا ہوں جو مصیبت زدہ اور شکستہ دل ہے، جو میرے کلام کے سامنے کانپتا ہے۔

He that killeth an ox is as if he slew a man; he that sacrificeth a lamb, as if he cut off a dog's neck; he that offereth an oblation, as if he offered swine's blood; he that burneth incense, as if he blessed an idol. Yea, they have chosen their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations.

لیکن بَیل کو ذبح کرنے والا قاتل کے برابر اور لیلے کو قربان کرنے والا کُتے کی گردن توڑنے والے کے برابر ہے۔ غلہ کی نذر پیش کرنے والا سؤر کا خون چڑھانے والے سے بہتر نہیں، اور بخور جلانے والا بُت پرست کی مانند ہے۔ اِن لوگوں نے اپنی غلط راہوں کو اختیار کیا ہے، اور اِن کی جان اپنی گھنونی چیزوں سے لطف اندوز ہوتی ہے۔

I also will choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil before mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not.

جواب میں مَیں بھی اُن سے بدسلوکی کی راہ اختیار کروں گا، مَیں اُن پر وہ کچھ نازل کروں گا جس سے وہ دہشت کھاتے ہیں۔ کیونکہ جب مَیں نے اُنہیں آواز دی تو کسی نے جواب نہ دیا، جب مَیں بولا تو اُنہوں نے نہ سنا بلکہ وہی کچھ کرتے رہے جو مجھے بُرا لگا، وہی کرنے پر تُلے رہے جو مجھے ناپسند ہے۔“

Hear the word of the LORD, ye that tremble at his word; Your brethren that hated you, that cast you out for my name's sake, said, Let the LORD be glorified: but he shall appear to your joy, and they shall be ashamed.

اے رب کے کلام کے سامنے لرزنے والو، اُس کا فرمان سنو! ”تمہارے اپنے بھائی تم سے نفرت کرتے اور میرے نام کے باعث تمہیں رد کرتے ہیں۔ وہ مذاق اُڑا کر کہتے ہیں، ’رب اپنے جلال کا اظہار کرے تاکہ ہم تمہاری خوشی کا مشاہدہ کر سکیں۔‘ لیکن وہ شرمندہ ہو جائیں گے۔

A voice of noise from the city, a voice from the temple, a voice of the LORD that rendereth recompence to his enemies.

سنو! شہر میں شور و غوغا ہو رہا ہے۔ سنو! رب کے گھر سے ہل چل کی آواز سنائی دے رہی ہے۔ سنو! رب اپنے دشمنوں کو اُن کی مناسب سزا دے رہا ہے۔

Before she travailed, she brought forth; before her pain came, she was delivered of a man child.

دردِ زہ میں مبتلا ہونے سے پہلے ہی یروشلم نے بچہ جنم دیا، زچگی کی ایذا سے پہلے ہی اُس کے بیٹا پیدا ہوا۔

Who hath heard such a thing? who hath seen such things? Shall the earth be made to bring forth in one day? or shall a nation be born at once? for as soon as Zion travailed, she brought forth her children.

کس نے کبھی ایسی بات سنی ہے؟ کس نے کبھی اِس قسم کا معاملہ دیکھا ہے؟ کیا کوئی ملک ایک ہی دن کے اندر اندر پیدا ہو سکتا ہے؟ کیا کوئی قوم ایک ہی لمحے میں جنم لے سکتی ہے؟ لیکن صیون کے ساتھ ایسا ہی ہوا ہے۔ دردِ زہ ابھی شروع ہی ہونا تھا کہ اُس کے بچے پیدا ہوئے۔“

Shall I bring to the birth, and not cause to bring forth? saith the LORD: shall I cause to bring forth, and shut the womb? saith thy God.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”کیا مَیں بچے کو یہاں تک لاؤں کہ وہ ماں کے پیٹ سے نکلنے والا ہو اور پھر اُسے جنم لینے نہ دوں؟ ہرگز نہیں!“ تیرا خدا فرماتا ہے، ”کیا مَیں جو بچے کو پیدا ہونے دیتا ہوں بچے کو روک دوں؟ کبھی نہیں!“

Rejoice ye with Jerusalem, and be glad with her, all ye that love her: rejoice for joy with her, all ye that mourn for her:

”اے یروشلم کو پیار کرنے والو، سب اُس کے ساتھ خوشی مناؤ! اے شہر پر ماتم کر نے والو، سب اُس کے ساتھ شادیانہ بجاؤ!

That ye may suck, and be satisfied with the breasts of her consolations; that ye may milk out, and be delighted with the abundance of her glory.

کیونکہ اب تم اُس کی تسلی دلانے والی چھاتی سے جی بھر کر دودھ پیؤ گے، تم اُس کے شاندار دودھ کی کثرت سے لطف اندوز ہو گے۔“

For thus saith the LORD, Behold, I will extend peace to her like a river, and the glory of the Gentiles like a flowing stream: then shall ye suck, ye shall be borne upon her sides, and be dandled upon her knees.

کیونکہ رب فرماتا ہے، ”مَیں یروشلم میں سلامتی کا دریا بہنے دوں گا اور اُس پر اقوام کی شان و شوکت کا سیلاب آنے دوں گا۔ تب وہ تمہیں اپنا دودھ پلا کر اُٹھائے پھرے گی، تمہیں گود میں بٹھا کر پیار کرے گی۔

As one whom his mother comforteth, so will I comfort you; and ye shall be comforted in Jerusalem.

مَیں تمہیں ماں کی سی تسلی دوں گا، اور تم یروشلم کو دیکھ کر تسلی پاؤ گے۔

And when ye see this, your heart shall rejoice, and your bones shall flourish like an herb: and the hand of the LORD shall be known toward his servants, and his indignation toward his enemies.

اِن باتوں کا مشاہدہ کر کے تمہارا دل خوش ہو گا اور تم تازہ ہریالی کی طرح پھلو پھولو گے۔“ اُس وقت ظاہر ہو جائے گا کہ رب کا ہاتھ اُس کے خادموں کے ساتھ ہے جبکہ اُس کے دشمن اُس کے غضب کا نشانہ بنیں گے۔

For, behold, the LORD will come with fire, and with his chariots like a whirlwind, to render his anger with fury, and his rebuke with flames of fire.

رب آگ کی صورت میں آ رہا ہے، آندھی جیسے رتھوں کے ساتھ نازل ہو رہا ہے تاکہ دہکتے کوئلوں سے اپنا غصہ ٹھنڈا کرے اور شعلہ افشاں آگ سے ملامت کرے۔

For by fire and by his sword will the LORD plead with all flesh: and the slain of the LORD shall be many.

کیونکہ رب آگ اور اپنی تلوار کے ذریعے تمام انسانوں کی عدالت کر کے اپنے ہاتھ سے متعدد لوگوں کو ہلاک کرے گا۔

They that sanctify themselves, and purify themselves in the gardens behind one tree in the midst, eating swine's flesh, and the abomination, and the mouse, shall be consumed together, saith the LORD.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”جو اپنے آپ کو بُتوں کے باغوں کے لئے مخصوص اور پاک صاف کرتے ہیں اور درمیان کے راہنما کی پیروی کر کے سؤر، چوہے اور دیگر گھنونی چیزیں کھاتے ہیں وہ مل کر ہلاک ہو جائیں گے۔

For I know their works and their thoughts: it shall come, that I will gather all nations and tongues; and they shall come, and see my glory.

چنانچہ مَیں جو اُن کے اعمال اور خیالات سے واقف ہوں تمام اقوام اور الگ الگ زبانیں بولنے والوں کو جمع کرنے کے لئے نازل ہو رہا ہوں۔ تب وہ آ کر میرے جلال کا مشاہدہ کریں گے۔

And I will set a sign among them, and I will send those that escape of them unto the nations, to Tarshish, Pul, and Lud, that draw the bow, to Tubal, and Javan, to the isles afar off, that have not heard my fame, neither have seen my glory; and they shall declare my glory among the Gentiles.

مَیں اُن کے درمیان الٰہی نشان قائم کر کے بچے ہوؤں میں سے کچھ دیگر اقوام کے پاس بھیج دوں گا۔ وہ ترسیس، لبیا، تیر چلانے کی ماہر قوم لُدیہ، تُوبل، یونان اور اُن دُوردراز جزیروں کے پاس جائیں گے جنہوں نے نہ میرے بارے میں سنا، نہ میرے جلال کا مشاہدہ کیا ہے۔ اِن اقوام میں وہ میرے جلال کا اعلان کریں گے۔

And they shall bring all your brethren for an offering unto the LORD out of all nations upon horses, and in chariots, and in litters, and upon mules, and upon swift beasts, to my holy mountain Jerusalem, saith the LORD, as the children of Israel bring an offering in a clean vessel into the house of the LORD.

پھر وہ تمام اقوام میں رہنے والے تمہارے بھائیوں کو گھوڑوں، رتھوں، گاڑیوں، خچروں اور اونٹوں پر سوار کر کے یروشلم لے آئیں گے۔ یہاں میرے مُقدّس پہاڑ پر وہ اُنہیں غلہ کی نذر کے طور پر پیش کریں گے۔ کیونکہ رب فرماتا ہے کہ جس طرح اسرائیلی اپنی غلہ کی نذریں پاک برتنوں میں رکھ کر رب کے گھر میں لے آتے ہیں اُسی طرح وہ تمہارے اسرائیلی بھائیوں کو یہاں پیش کریں گے۔

And I will also take of them for priests and for Levites, saith the LORD.

اُن میں سے مَیں بعض کو امام اور لاوی کا عُہدہ دوں گا۔“ یہ رب کا فرمان ہے۔

For as the new heavens and the new earth, which I will make, shall remain before me, saith the LORD, so shall your seed and your name remain.

رب فرماتا ہے، ”جتنے یقین کے ساتھ میرا بنایا ہوا نیا آسمان اور نئی زمین میرے سامنے قائم رہے گا اُتنے یقین کے ساتھ تمہاری نسل اور تمہارا نام ابد تک قائم رہے گا۔

And it shall come to pass, that from one new moon to another, and from one sabbath to another, shall all flesh come to worship before me, saith the LORD.

اُس وقت تمام انسان میرے پاس آ کر مجھے سجدہ کریں گے۔ ہر نئے چاند اور ہر سبت کو وہ باقاعدگی سے آتے رہیں گے۔“ یہ رب کا فرمان ہے۔

And they shall go forth, and look upon the carcases of the men that have transgressed against me: for their worm shall not die, neither shall their fire be quenched; and they shall be an abhorring unto all flesh.

”تب وہ شہر سے نکل کر اُن کی لاشوں پر نظر ڈالیں گے جو مجھ سے سرکش ہوئے تھے۔ کیونکہ نہ اُنہیں کھانے والے کیڑے کبھی مریں گے، نہ اُنہیں جلانے والی آگ کبھی بجھے گی۔ تمام انسان اُن سے گھن کھائیں گے۔“
