Ezekiel 36

Also, thou son of man, prophesy unto the mountains of Israel, and say, Ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the LORD:

اے آدم زاد، اسرائیل کے پہاڑوں کے بارے میں نبوّت کر کے کہہ، ’اے اسرائیل کے پہاڑو، رب کا کلام سنو!

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because the enemy hath said against you, Aha, even the ancient high places are ours in possession:

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ دشمن بغلیں بجا کر کہتا ہے کہ کیا خوب، اسرائیل کی قدیم بلندیاں ہمارے قبضے میں آ گئی ہیں!

Therefore prophesy and say, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they have made you desolate, and swallowed you up on every side, that ye might be a possession unto the residue of the heathen, and ye are taken up in the lips of talkers, and are an infamy of the people:

قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اُنہوں نے تمہیں اُجاڑ دیا، تمہیں چاروں طرف سے تنگ کیا ہے۔ نتیجے میں تم دیگر اقوام کے قبضے میں آ گئی ہو اور لوگ تم پر کفر بکنے لگے ہیں۔

Therefore, ye mountains of Israel, hear the word of the Lord GOD; Thus saith the Lord GOD to the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, to the desolate wastes, and to the cities that are forsaken, which became a prey and derision to the residue of the heathen that are round about;

چنانچہ اے اسرائیل کے پہاڑو، رب قادرِ مطلق کا کلام سنو! رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اے پہاڑو اور پہاڑیو، اے گھاٹیو اور وادیو، اے کھنڈرات اور انسان سے خالی شہرو، تم گرد و نواح کی اقوام کے لئے لُوٹ مار اور مذاق کا نشانہ بن گئے ہو۔

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; Surely in the fire of my jealousy have I spoken against the residue of the heathen, and against all Idumea, which have appointed my land into their possession with the joy of all their heart, with despiteful minds, to cast it out for a prey.

اِس لئے رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ مَیں نے بڑی غیرت سے اِن باقی اقوام کی سرزنش کی ہے، خاص کر ادوم کی۔ کیونکہ وہ میری قوم کا نقصان دیکھ کر شادیانہ بجانے لگیں اور اپنی حقارت کا اظہار کر کے میرے ملک پر قبضہ کیا تاکہ اُس کی چراگاہ کو لُوٹ لیں۔

Prophesy therefore concerning the land of Israel, and say unto the mountains, and to the hills, to the rivers, and to the valleys, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Behold, I have spoken in my jealousy and in my fury, because ye have borne the shame of the heathen:

اے پہاڑو اور پہاڑیو، اے گھاٹیو اور وادیو، رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ چونکہ دیگر اقوام نے تیری اِتنی رُسوائی کی ہے اِس لئے مَیں اپنی غیرت اور اپنا غضب اُن پر نازل کروں گا۔

Therefore thus saith the Lord GOD; I have lifted up mine hand, Surely the heathen that are about you, they shall bear their shame.

مَیں رب قادرِ مطلق اپنا ہاتھ اُٹھا کر قَسم کھاتا ہوں کہ گرد و نواح کی اِن اقوام کی بھی رُسوائی کی جائے گی۔

But ye, O mountains of Israel, ye shall shoot forth your branches, and yield your fruit to my people of Israel; for they are at hand to come.

لیکن اے اسرائیل کے پہاڑو، تم پر دوبارہ ہریالی پھلے پھولے گی۔ تم نئے سرے سے میری قوم اسرائیل کے لئے پھل لاؤ گے، کیونکہ وہ جلد ہی واپس آنے والی ہے۔

For, behold, I am for you, and I will turn unto you, and ye shall be tilled and sown:

مَیں دوبارہ تمہاری طرف رجوع کروں گا، دوبارہ تم پر مہربانی کروں گا۔ تب لوگ نئے سرے سے تم پر ہل چلا کر بیج بوئیں گے۔

And I will multiply men upon you, all the house of Israel, even all of it: and the cities shall be inhabited, and the wastes shall be builded:

مَیں تم پر کی آبادی بڑھا دوں گا۔ کیونکہ تمام اسرائیلی آ کر تمہاری ڈھلانوں پر اپنے گھر بنا لیں گے۔ تمہارے شہر دوبارہ آباد ہو جائیں گے، اور کھنڈرات کی جگہ نئے گھر بن جائیں گے۔

And I will multiply upon you man and beast; and they shall increase and bring fruit: and I will settle you after your old estates, and will do better unto you than at your beginnings: and ye shall know that I am the LORD.

مَیں تم پر بسنے والے انسان و حیوان کی تعداد بڑھا دوں گا، اور وہ بڑھ کر پھلیں پھولیں گے۔ مَیں ہونے دوں گا کہ تمہارے علاقے میں ماضی کی طرح آبادی ہو گی، پہلے کی نسبت مَیں تم پر کہیں زیادہ مہربانی کروں گا۔ تب تم جان لو گے کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں۔

Yea, I will cause men to walk upon you, even my people Israel; and they shall possess thee, and thou shalt be their inheritance, and thou shalt no more henceforth bereave them of men.

مَیں اپنی قوم اسرائیل کو تمہارے پاس پہنچا دوں گا، اور وہ دوبارہ تمہاری ڈھلانوں پر گھومتے پھریں گے۔ وہ تم پر قبضہ کریں گے، اور تم اُن کی موروثی زمین ہو گے۔ آئندہ کبھی تم اُنہیں اُن کی اولاد سے محروم نہیں کرو گے۔

Thus saith the Lord GOD; Because they say unto you, Thou land devourest up men, and hast bereaved thy nations;

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ بےشک لوگ تمہارے بارے میں کہتے ہیں کہ تم لوگوں کو ہڑپ کر کے اپنی قوم کو اُس کی اولاد سے محروم کر دیتے ہو۔

Therefore thou shalt devour men no more, neither bereave thy nations any more, saith the Lord GOD.

لیکن آئندہ ایسا نہیں ہو گا۔ آئندہ تم نہ آدمیوں کو ہڑپ کرو گے، نہ اپنی قوم کو اُس کی اولاد سے محروم کرو گے۔ یہ رب قادرِ مطلق کا فرمان ہے۔

Neither will I cause men to hear in thee the shame of the heathen any more, neither shalt thou bear the reproach of the people any more, neither shalt thou cause thy nations to fall any more, saith the Lord GOD.

مَیں خود ہونے دوں گا کہ آئندہ تمہیں دیگر اقوام کی لعن طعن نہیں سننی پڑے گی۔ آئندہ تمہیں اُن کا مذاق برداشت نہیں کرنا پڑے گا، کیونکہ ایسا کبھی ہو گا نہیں کہ تم اپنی قوم کے لئے ٹھوکر کا باعث ہو۔ یہ رب قادرِ مطلق کا فرمان ہے‘۔“

Moreover the word of the LORD came unto me, saying,

رب مجھ سے ہم کلام ہوا،

Son of man, when the house of Israel dwelt in their own land, they defiled it by their own way and by their doings: their way was before me as the uncleanness of a removed woman.

”اے آدم زاد، جب اسرائیلی اپنے ملک میں آباد تھے تو ملک اُن کے چال چلن اور حرکتوں سے ناپاک ہوا۔ وہ اپنے بُرے رویے کے باعث میری نظر میں ماہواری میں مبتلا عورت کی طرح ناپاک تھے۔

Wherefore I poured my fury upon them for the blood that they had shed upon the land, and for their idols wherewith they had polluted it:

اُن کے ہاتھوں لوگ قتل ہوئے، اُن کی بُت پرستی سے ملک ناپاک ہو گیا۔ جواب میں مَیں نے اُن پر اپنا غضب نازل کیا۔

And I scattered them among the heathen, and they were dispersed through the countries: according to their way and according to their doings I judged them.

مَیں نے اُنہیں مختلف اقوام و ممالک میں منتشر کر کے اُن کے چال چلن اور غلط کاموں کی مناسب سزا دی۔

And when they entered unto the heathen, whither they went, they profaned my holy name, when they said to them, These are the people of the LORD, and are gone forth out of his land.

لیکن جہاں بھی وہ پہنچے وہاں اُن ہی کے سبب سے میرے مُقدّس نام کی بےحرمتی ہوئی۔ کیونکہ جن سے بھی اُن کی ملاقات ہوئی اُنہوں نے کہا، ’گو یہ رب کی قوم ہیں توبھی اِنہیں اُس کے ملک کو چھوڑنا پڑا!‘

But I had pity for mine holy name, which the house of Israel had profaned among the heathen, whither they went.

یہ دیکھ کر کہ جس قوم میں بھی اسرائیلی جا بسے وہاں اُنہوں نے میرے مُقدّس نام کی بےحرمتی کی مَیں اپنے نام کی فکر کرنے لگا۔

Therefore say unto the house of Israel, Thus saith the Lord GOD; I do not this for your sakes, O house of Israel, but for mine holy name's sake, which ye have profaned among the heathen, whither ye went.

اِس لئے اسرائیلی قوم کو بتا، ’رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ جو کچھ مَیں کرنے والا ہوں وہ مَیں تیری خاطر نہیں کروں گا بلکہ اپنے مُقدّس نام کی خاطر۔ کیونکہ تم نے دیگر اقوام میں منتشر ہو کر اُس کی بےحرمتی کی ہے۔

And I will sanctify my great name, which was profaned among the heathen, which ye have profaned in the midst of them; and the heathen shall know that I am the LORD, saith the Lord GOD, when I shall be sanctified in you before their eyes.

مَیں ظاہر کروں گا کہ میرا عظیم نام کتنا مُقدّس ہے۔ تم نے دیگر اقوام کے درمیان رہ کر اُس کی بےحرمتی کی ہے، لیکن مَیں اُن کی موجودگی میں تمہاری مدد کر کے اپنا مُقدّس کردار اُن پر ظاہر کروں گا۔ تب وہ جان لیں گی کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں۔ یہ رب قادرِ مطلق کا فرمان ہے۔

For I will take you from among the heathen, and gather you out of all countries, and will bring you into your own land.

مَیں تمہیں دیگر اقوام و ممالک سے نکال دوں گا اور تمہیں جمع کر کے تمہارے اپنے ملک میں واپس لاؤں گا۔

Then will I sprinkle clean water upon you, and ye shall be clean: from all your filthiness, and from all your idols, will I cleanse you.

مَیں تم پر صاف پانی چھڑکوں گا تو تم پاک صاف ہو جاؤ گے۔ ہاں، مَیں تمہیں تمام ناپاکیوں اور بُتوں سے پاک صاف کر دوں گا۔

A new heart also will I give you, and a new spirit will I put within you: and I will take away the stony heart out of your flesh, and I will give you an heart of flesh.

تب مَیں تمہیں نیا دل بخش کر تم میں نئی روح ڈال دوں گا۔ مَیں تمہارا سنگین دل نکال کر تمہیں گوشت پوست کا نرم دل عطا کروں گا۔

And I will put my spirit within you, and cause you to walk in my statutes, and ye shall keep my judgments, and do them.

کیونکہ مَیں اپنا ہی روح تم میں ڈال کر تمہیں اِس قابل بنا دوں گا کہ تم میری ہدایات کی پیروی اور میرے احکام پر دھیان سے عمل کر سکو۔

And ye shall dwell in the land that I gave to your fathers; and ye shall be my people, and I will be your God.

تب تم دوبارہ اُس ملک میں سکونت کرو گے جو مَیں نے تمہارے باپ دادا کو دیا تھا۔ تم میری قوم ہو گے، اور مَیں تمہارا خدا ہوں گا۔

I will also save you from all your uncleannesses: and I will call for the corn, and will increase it, and lay no famine upon you.

مَیں خود تمہیں تمہاری تمام ناپاکی سے چھڑاؤں گا۔ آئندہ مَیں تمہارے ملک میں کال پڑنے نہیں دوں گا بلکہ اناج کو اُگنے اور بڑھنے کا حکم دوں گا۔

And I will multiply the fruit of the tree, and the increase of the field, that ye shall receive no more reproach of famine among the heathen.

مَیں باغوں اور کھیتوں کی پیداوار بڑھا دوں گا تاکہ آئندہ تمہیں ملک میں کال پڑنے کے باعث دیگر قوموں کے طعنے سننے نہ پڑیں۔

Then shall ye remember your own evil ways, and your doings that were not good, and shall lothe yourselves in your own sight for your iniquities and for your abominations.

تب تمہاری بُری راہیں اور غلط حرکتیں تمہیں یاد آئیں گی، اور تم اپنے گناہوں اور بُت پرستی کے باعث اپنے آپ سے گھن کھاؤ گے۔

Not for your sakes do I this, saith the Lord GOD, be it known unto you: be ashamed and confounded for your own ways, O house of Israel.

لیکن یاد رہے کہ مَیں یہ سب کچھ تمہاری خاطر نہیں کر رہا۔ رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ اے اسرائیلی قوم، شرم کرو! اپنے چال چلن پر شرم سار ہو!

Thus saith the Lord GOD; In the day that I shall have cleansed you from all your iniquities I will also cause you to dwell in the cities, and the wastes shall be builded.

رب قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ جس دن مَیں تمہیں تمہارے تمام گناہوں سے پاک صاف کروں گا اُس دن مَیں تمہیں دوبارہ تمہارے شہروں میں آباد کروں گا۔ تب کھنڈرات پر نئے گھر بنیں گے۔

And the desolate land shall be tilled, whereas it lay desolate in the sight of all that passed by.

گو اِس وقت ملک میں سے گزرنے والے ہر مسافر کو اُس کی تباہ شدہ حالت نظر آتی ہے، لیکن اُس وقت ایسا نہیں ہو گا بلکہ زمین کی کھیتی باڑی کی جائے گی۔

And they shall say, This land that was desolate is become like the garden of Eden; and the waste and desolate and ruined cities are become fenced, and are inhabited.

لوگ یہ دیکھ کر کہیں گے، ”پہلے سب کچھ ویران و سنسان تھا، لیکن اب ملک باغِ عدن بن گیا ہے! پہلے اُس کے شہر زمین بوس تھے اور اُن کی جگہ ملبے کے ڈھیر نظر آتے تھے۔ لیکن اب اُن کی نئے سرے سے قلعہ بندی ہو گئی ہے اور لوگ اُن میں آباد ہیں۔“

Then the heathen that are left round about you shall know that I the LORD build the ruined places, and plant that that was desolate: I the LORD have spoken it, and I will do it.

پھر ارد گرد کی جتنی قومیں بچ گئی ہوں گی وہ جان لیں گی کہ مَیں، رب نے نئے سرے سے وہ کچھ تعمیر کیا ہے جو پہلے ڈھا دیا گیا تھا، مَیں نے ویران زمین میں دوبارہ پودے لگائے ہیں۔ یہ میرا، رب کا فرمان ہے، اور مَیں یہ کروں گا بھی۔

Thus saith the Lord GOD; I will yet for this be enquired of by the house of Israel, to do it for them; I will increase them with men like a flock.

قادرِ مطلق فرماتا ہے کہ ایک بار پھر مَیں اسرائیلی قوم کی التجائیں سن کر باشندوں کی تعداد ریوڑ کی طرح بڑھا دوں گا۔

As the holy flock, as the flock of Jerusalem in her solemn feasts; so shall the waste cities be filled with flocks of men: and they shall know that I am the LORD.

جس طرح ماضی میں عید کے دن یروشلم میں ہر طرف قربانی کی بھیڑبکریاں نظر آتی تھیں اُسی طرح ملک کے شہروں میں دوبارہ ہجوم کے ہجوم نظر آئیں گے۔ تب وہ جان لیں گے کہ مَیں ہی رب ہوں‘۔“
