I Chronicles 29

Furthermore David the king said unto all the congregation, Solomon my son, whom alone God hath chosen, is yet young and tender, and the work is great: for the palace is not for man, but for the LORD God.

پھر داؤد دوبارہ پوری جماعت سے مخاطب ہوا، ”اللہ نے میرے بیٹے سلیمان کو چن کر مقرر کیا ہے کہ وہ اگلا بادشاہ بنے۔ لیکن وہ ابھی جوان اور ناتجربہ کار ہے، اور یہ تعمیری کام بہت وسیع ہے۔ اُسے تو یہ محل انسان کے لئے نہیں بنانا ہے بلکہ رب ہمارے خدا کے لئے۔

Now I have prepared with all my might for the house of my God the gold for things to be made of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and the brass for things of brass, the iron for things of iron, and wood for things of wood; onyx stones, and stones to be set, glistering stones, and of divers colours, and all manner of precious stones, and marble stones in abundance.

مَیں پوری جاں فشانی سے اپنے خدا کے گھر کی تعمیر کے لئے سامان جمع کر چکا ہوں۔ اِس میں سونا چاندی، پیتل، لوہا، لکڑی، عقیقِ احمر ، مختلف جڑے ہوئے جواہر اور پچی کاری کے مختلف پتھر بڑی مقدار میں شامل ہیں۔

Moreover, because I have set my affection to the house of my God, I have of mine own proper good, of gold and silver, which I have given to the house of my God, over and above all that I have prepared for the holy house,

اور چونکہ مجھ میں اپنے خدا کا گھر بنانے کے لئے بوجھ ہے اِس لئے مَیں نے اِن چیزوں کے علاوہ اپنے ذاتی خزانوں سے بھی سونا اور چاندی دی ہے

Even three thousand talents of gold, of the gold of Ophir, and seven thousand talents of refined silver, to overlay the walls of the houses withal:

یعنی تقریباً 1,00,000 کلو گرام خالص سونا اور 235 کلو گرام خالص چاندی۔ مَیں چاہتا ہوں کہ یہ کمروں کی دیواروں پر چڑھائی جائے۔

The gold for things of gold, and the silver for things of silver, and for all manner of work to be made by the hands of artificers. And who then is willing to consecrate his service this day unto the LORD?

کچھ کاری گروں کے باقی کاموں کے لئے بھی استعمال ہو سکتا ہے۔ اب مَیں آپ سے پوچھتا ہوں، آج کون میری طرح خوشی سے رب کے کام کے لئے کچھ دینے کو تیار ہے؟“

Then the chief of the fathers and princes of the tribes of Israel, and the captains of thousands and of hundreds, with the rulers of the king's work, offered willingly,

یہ سن کر وہاں حاضر خاندانی سرپرستوں، قبیلوں کے بزرگوں، ہزار ہزار اور سَو سَو فوجیوں پر مقرر افسروں اور بادشاہ کے اعلیٰ سرکاری افسروں نے خوشی سے کام کے لئے ہدیئے دیئے۔

And gave for the service of the house of God of gold five thousand talents and ten thousand drams, and of silver ten thousand talents, and of brass eighteen thousand talents, and one hundred thousand talents of iron.

اُس دن رب کے گھر کے لئے تقریباً 1,70,000 کلو گرام سونا، سونے کے 10,000 سِکے، 3,40,000 کلو گرام چاندی، 6,10,000 کلو گرام پیتل اور 34,00,000 کلو گرام لوہا جمع ہوا۔

And they with whom precious stones were found gave them to the treasure of the house of the LORD, by the hand of Jehiel the Gershonite.

جس کے پاس جواہر تھے اُس نے اُنہیں یحی ایل جَیرسونی کے حوالے کر دیا جو خزانچی تھا اور جس نے اُنہیں رب کے گھر کے خزانے میں محفوظ کر لیا۔

Then the people rejoiced, for that they offered willingly, because with perfect heart they offered willingly to the LORD: and David the king also rejoiced with great joy.

پوری قوم اِس فراخ دلی کو دیکھ کر خوش ہوئی، کیونکہ سب نے دلی خوشی اور فیاضی سے اپنے ہدیئے رب کو پیش کئے۔ داؤد بادشاہ بھی نہایت خوش ہوا۔

Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever.

اِس کے بعد داؤد نے پوری جماعت کے سامنے رب کی تمجید کر کے کہا، ”اے رب ہمارے باپ اسرائیل کے خدا، ازل سے ابد تک تیری حمد ہو۔

Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all.

اے رب، عظمت، قدرت، جلال اور شان و شوکت تیرے ہی ہیں، کیونکہ جو کچھ بھی آسمان اور زمین میں ہے وہ تیرا ہی ہے۔ اے رب، سلطنت تیرے ہاتھ میں ہے، اور تُو تمام چیزوں پر سرفراز ہے۔

Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all.

دولت اور عزت تجھ سے ملتی ہے، اور تُو سب پر حکمران ہے۔ تیرے ہاتھ میں طاقت اور قدرت ہے، اور ہر انسان کو تُو ہی طاقت ور اور مضبوط بنا سکتا ہے۔

Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name.

اے ہمارے خدا، یہ دیکھ کر ہم تیری ستائش اور تیرے جلالی نام کی تعریف کرتے ہیں۔

But who am I, and what is my people, that we should be able to offer so willingly after this sort? for all things come of thee, and of thine own have we given thee.

میری اور میری قوم کی کیا حیثیت ہے کہ ہم اِتنی فیاضی سے یہ چیزیں دے سکے؟ آخر ہماری تمام ملکیت تیری طرف سے ہے۔ جو کچھ بھی ہم نے تجھے دے دیا وہ ہمیں تیرے ہاتھ سے ملا ہے۔

For we are strangers before thee, and sojourners, as were all our fathers: our days on the earth are as a shadow, and there is none abiding.

اپنے باپ دادا کی طرح ہم بھی تیرے نزدیک پردیسی اور غیرشہری ہیں۔ دنیا میں ہماری زندگی سائے کی طرح عارضی ہے، اور موت سے بچنے کی کوئی اُمید نہیں۔

O LORD our God, all this store that we have prepared to build thee an house for thine holy name cometh of thine hand, and is all thine own.

اے رب ہمارے خدا، ہم نے یہ سارا تعمیری سامان اِس لئے اکٹھا کیا ہے کہ تیرے مُقدّس نام کے لئے گھر بنایا جائے۔ لیکن حقیقت میں یہ سب کچھ پہلے سے تیرے ہاتھ سے حاصل ہوا ہے۔ یہ پہلے سے تیرا ہی ہے۔

I know also, my God, that thou triest the heart, and hast pleasure in uprightness. As for me, in the uprightness of mine heart I have willingly offered all these things: and now have I seen with joy thy people, which are present here, to offer willingly unto thee.

اے میرے خدا، مَیں جانتا ہوں کہ تُو انسان کا دل جانچ لیتا ہے، کہ دیانت داری تجھے پسند ہے۔ جو کچھ بھی مَیں نے دیا ہے وہ مَیں نے خوشی سے اور اچھی نیت سے دیا ہے۔ اب مجھے یہ دیکھ کر خوشی ہے کہ یہاں حاضر تیری قوم نے بھی اِتنی فیاضی سے تجھے ہدیئے دیئے ہیں۔

O LORD God of Abraham, Isaac, and of Israel, our fathers, keep this for ever in the imagination of the thoughts of the heart of thy people, and prepare their heart unto thee:

اے رب ہمارے باپ دادا ابراہیم، اسحاق اور اسرائیل کے خدا، گزارش ہے کہ تُو ہمیشہ تک اپنی قوم کے دلوں میں ایسی ہی تڑپ قائم رکھ۔ عطا کر کہ اُن کے دل تیرے ساتھ لپٹے رہیں۔

And give unto Solomon my son a perfect heart, to keep thy commandments, thy testimonies, and thy statutes, and to do all these things, and to build the palace, for the which I have made provision.

میرے بیٹے سلیمان کی بھی مدد کر تاکہ وہ پورے دل و جان سے تیرے احکام اور ہدایات پر عمل کرے اور اُس محل کو تکمیل تک پہنچا سکے جس کے لئے مَیں نے تیاریاں کی ہیں۔“

And David said to all the congregation, Now bless the LORD your God. And all the congregation blessed the LORD God of their fathers, and bowed down their heads, and worshipped the LORD, and the king.

پھر داؤد نے پوری جماعت سے کہا، ”آئیں، رب اپنے خدا کی ستائش کریں!“ چنانچہ سب رب اپنے باپ دادا کے خدا کی تمجید کر کے رب اور بادشاہ کے سامنے منہ کے بل جھک گئے۔

And they sacrificed sacrifices unto the LORD, and offered burnt offerings unto the LORD, on the morrow after that day, even a thousand bullocks, a thousand rams, and a thousand lambs, with their drink offerings, and sacrifices in abundance for all Israel:

اگلے دن تمام اسرائیل کے لئے بھسم ہونے والی بہت سی قربانیاں اُن کی مَے کی نذروں سمیت رب کو پیش کی گئیں۔ اِس کے لئے 1,000 جوان بَیلوں، 1,000 مینڈھوں اور 1,000 بھیڑ کے بچوں کو چڑھایا گیا۔ ساتھ ساتھ ذبح کی بےشمار قربانیاں بھی پیش کی گئیں۔

And did eat and drink before the LORD on that day with great gladness. And they made Solomon the son of David king the second time, and anointed him unto the LORD to be the chief governor, and Zadok to be priest.

اُس دن اُنہوں نے رب کے حضور کھاتے پیتے ہوئے بڑی خوشی منائی۔ پھر اُنہوں نے دوبارہ اِس کی تصدیق کی کہ داؤد کا بیٹا سلیمان ہمارا بادشاہ ہے۔ تیل سے اُسے مسح کر کے اُنہوں نے اُسے رب کے حضور بادشاہ اور صدوق کو امام قرار دیا۔

Then Solomon sat on the throne of the LORD as king instead of David his father, and prospered; and all Israel obeyed him.

یوں سلیمان اپنے باپ داؤد کی جگہ رب کے تخت پر بیٹھ گیا۔ اُسے کامیابی حاصل ہوئی، اور تمام اسرائیل اُس کے تابع رہا۔

And all the princes, and the mighty men, and all the sons likewise of king David, submitted themselves unto Solomon the king.

تمام اعلیٰ افسر، بڑے بڑے فوجی اور داؤد کے باقی بیٹوں نے بھی اپنی تابع داری کا اظہار کیا۔

And the LORD magnified Solomon exceedingly in the sight of all Israel, and bestowed upon him such royal majesty as had not been on any king before him in Israel.

اسرائیل کے دیکھتے دیکھتے رب نے سلیمان کو بہت سرفراز کیا۔ اُس نے اُس کی سلطنت کو ایسی شان و شوکت سے نوازا جو ماضی میں اسرائیل کے کسی بھی بادشاہ کو حاصل نہیں ہوئی تھی۔

Thus David the son of Jesse reigned over all Israel.

داؤد بن یسّی کُل 40 سال تک اسرائیل کا بادشاہ رہا، 7 سال حبرون میں اور 33 سال یروشلم میں۔

And the time that he reigned over Israel was forty years; seven years reigned he in Hebron, and thirty and three years reigned he in Jerusalem.

داؤد بن یسّی کُل 40 سال تک اسرائیل کا بادشاہ رہا، 7 سال حبرون میں اور 33 سال یروشلم میں۔

And he died in a good old age, full of days, riches, and honour: and Solomon his son reigned in his stead.

وہ بہت عمر رسیدہ اور عمر، دولت اور عزت سے آسودہ ہو کر انتقال کر گیا۔ پھر سلیمان تخت نشین ہوا۔

Now the acts of David the king, first and last, behold, they are written in the book of Samuel the seer, and in the book of Nathan the prophet, and in the book of Gad the seer,

باقی جو کچھ داؤد کی حکومت کے دوران ہوا وہ تینوں کتابوں ’سموایل غیب بین کی تاریخ،‘ ’ناتن نبی کی تاریخ‘ اور ’جاد غیب بین کی تاریخ‘ میں درج ہے۔

With all his reign and his might, and the times that went over him, and over Israel, and over all the kingdoms of the countries.

اِن میں اُس کی حکومت اور اثر و رسوخ کی تفصیلات بیان کی گئی ہیں، نیز وہ کچھ جو اُس کے ساتھ، اسرائیل کے ساتھ اور گرد و نواح کے ممالک کے ساتھ ہوا۔
