Psalms 70

Make haste, O God, to deliver me; make haste to help me, O LORD.

(Către mai marele cîntăreţilor. Un psalm al lui David. Ca aducere aminte.) Grăbeşte, Dumnezeule, de mă izbăveşte! Grăbeşte de-mi ajută, Doamne!

Let them be ashamed and confounded that seek after my soul: let them be turned backward, and put to confusion, that desire my hurt.

Să rămînă de ruşine şi înfruntaţi, cei ce vor să-mi ia viaţa! Să dea înapoi şi să roşească, cei ce-mi doresc pieirea!

Let them be turned back for a reward of their shame that say, Aha, aha.

Să se întoarcă înapoi de ruşine, cei ce zic: ,,Aha, Aha!``

Let all those that seek thee rejoice and be glad in thee: and let such as love thy salvation say continually, Let God be magnified.

Toţi cei ce Te caută, să se veselească şi să se bucure în Tine! Cei ce iubesc mîntuirea Ta, să zică neîncetat: ,,Prea mărit să fie Dumnezeu!``

But I am poor and needy: make haste unto me, O God: thou art my help and my deliverer; O LORD, make no tarrying.

Eu sînt sărac şi lipsit: grăbeşte să-mi ajuţi, Dumnezeule. Tu eşti ajutorul şi Izbăvitorul meu: Doamne, nu zăbovi!
