Psalms 142

I cried unto the LORD with my voice; with my voice unto the LORD did I make my supplication.

نزد خداوند فریاد می‌زنم و با التماس از او کمک می‌طلبم.

I poured out my complaint before him; I shewed before him my trouble.

شکایات خود را به پیشگاه او عرض می‌کنم و مشکلاتم را برایش بیان می‌نمایم.

When my spirit was overwhelmed within me, then thou knewest my path. In the way wherein I walked have they privily laid a snare for me.

وقتی طاقت من تمام شود، تو می‌دانی که چه باید بکنم. دشمنان در سر راه من دام گسترده‏اند.

I looked on my right hand, and beheld, but there was no man that would know me: refuge failed me; no man cared for my soul.

وقتی به اطرافم نگاه می‌کنم، کسی را نمی‌بینم که به کمکم بیاید و کسی به من توجّه نمی‌کند.

I cried unto thee, O LORD: I said, Thou art my refuge and my portion in the land of the living.

خداوندا، برای کمک به درگاه تو رو می‌آورم، زیرا تو یگانه پشتیبان و همه‌چیز من در این زندگی هستی.

Attend unto my cry; for I am brought very low: deliver me from my persecutors; for they are stronger than I.

به فریاد من گوش بده، زیرا که درمانده‌ام. مرا از دست دشمنان نجات بده، زیرا آنها از من بسیار قویترند.

Bring my soul out of prison, that I may praise thy name: the righteous shall compass me about; for thou shalt deal bountifully with me.

مرا از این بُن‌بست و پریشانی آزاد کن تا تو را ستایش كنم. آنگاه به‌خاطر نیكویی كه به من كرده‏ای، نیكوکاران مرا احاطه خواهند كرد.
