Esther 9

Now in the twelfth month, that is, the month Adar, on the thirteenth day of the same, when the king's commandment and his decree drew near to be put in execution, in the day that the enemies of the Jews hoped to have power over them, (though it was turned to the contrary, that the Jews had rule over them that hated them;)

А на тринадесетия ден от дванадесетия месец, който е месец Адар, когато трябваше да се изпълни заповедта на царя и разпоредбата му, в деня когато враговете на юдеите се надяваха да вземат власт над тях, но стана обратното — че юдеите взеха власт над онези, които ги мразеха —

The Jews gathered themselves together in their cities throughout all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, to lay hand on such as sought their hurt: and no man could withstand them; for the fear of them fell upon all people.

юдеите се събраха в градовете си по всичките области на цар Асуир, за да сложат ръка на онези, които искаха злото им. И никой не можеше да им противостои, защото страх от тях беше обзел всичките народи.

And all the rulers of the provinces, and the lieutenants, and the deputies, and officers of the king, helped the Jews; because the fear of Mordecai fell upon them.

И всичките началници на областите и сатрапите, и областните управители, и царските настоятели помагаха на юдеите, защото ги беше обзел страх от Мардохей.

For Mordecai was great in the king's house, and his fame went out throughout all the provinces: for this man Mordecai waxed greater and greater.

Понеже Мардохей беше велик в царския дом и славата му се разнесе по всичките области, защото човекът Мардохей ставаше все по-велик и по-велик.

Thus the Jews smote all their enemies with the stroke of the sword, and slaughter, and destruction, and did what they would unto those that hated them.

И юдеите нанесоха поражение на всичките си врагове с клане с меч, убиване и унищожение; и направиха каквото искаха на онези, които ги мразеха.

And in Shushan the palace the Jews slew and destroyed five hundred men.

И в крепостта Суса юдеите избиха и погубиха петстотин мъже.

And Parshandatha, and Dalphon, and Aspatha,

Убиха Фарсандата и Далфон, и Аспата,

And Poratha, and Adalia, and Aridatha,

и Пората, и Адалия, и Аридата,

And Parmashta, and Arisai, and Aridai, and Vajezatha,

и Фармаста, и Арисай, и Аридай, и Ваезета,

The ten sons of Haman the son of Hammedatha, the enemy of the Jews, slew they; but on the spoil laid they not their hand.

десетте сина на притеснителя на юдеите Аман, сина на Амидата. Но на плячка не сложиха ръка.

On that day the number of those that were slain in Shushan the palace was brought before the king.

В същия ден докладваха пред царя броя на убитите в крепостта Суса.

And the king said unto Esther the queen, The Jews have slain and destroyed five hundred men in Shushan the palace, and the ten sons of Haman; what have they done in the rest of the king's provinces? now what is thy petition? and it shall be granted thee: or what is thy request further? and it shall be done.

И царят каза на царица Естир: В крепостта Суса юдеите са избили и погубили петстотин мъже и десетте сина на Аман. А какво ли са направили и в другите царски области! Сега каква е молбата ти? Ще ти се удовлетвори. И какво е още желанието ти? Ще се изпълни!

Then said Esther, If it please the king, let it be granted to the Jews which are in Shushan to do to morrow also according unto this day's decree, and let Haman's ten sons be hanged upon the gallows.

И Естир каза: Ако е угодно на царя, нека се разреши на юдеите, които са в Суса, да направят и утре според днешната заповед. И да обесят на дърво десетте сина на Аман.

And the king commanded it so to be done: and the decree was given at Shushan; and they hanged Haman's ten sons.

Тогава царят заповяда да стане така. И заповедта се издаде в Суса, а десетте сина на Аман бяха обесени.

For the Jews that were in Shushan gathered themselves together on the fourteenth day also of the month Adar, and slew three hundred men at Shushan; but on the prey they laid not their hand.

И юдеите, които бяха в Суса, се събраха и на четиринадесетия ден от месец Адар и избиха триста мъже в Суса. Но на плячка не сложиха ръка.

But the other Jews that were in the king's provinces gathered themselves together, and stood for their lives, and had rest from their enemies, and slew of their foes seventy and five thousand, but they laid not their hands on the prey,

И останалите юдеи, които бяха по царските области, се събраха и защитиха живота си и се успокоиха от враговете си, и избиха седемдесет и пет хиляди души от онези, които ги мразеха. Но на плячка не сложиха ръка.

On the thirteenth day of the month Adar; and on the fourteenth day of the same rested they, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

Това стана на тринадесетия ден от месец Адар; а на четиринадесетия му ден си почиваха и го направиха ден за пируване и веселие.

But the Jews that were at Shushan assembled together on the thirteenth day thereof, and on the fourteenth thereof; and on the fifteenth day of the same they rested, and made it a day of feasting and gladness.

Но юдеите, които бяха в Суса, се събраха и на тринадесетия му ден, и на четиринадесетия му ден, а на петнадесетия му ден почиваха и го направиха ден за пируване и веселие.

Therefore the Jews of the villages, that dwelt in the unwalled towns, made the fourteenth day of the month Adar a day of gladness and feasting, and a good day, and of sending portions one to another.

Затова юдеите от селата, които живеят в неоградени градове, празнуват четиринадесетия ден от месец Адар с веселие и пируване и като празник и си изпращат подаръци едни на други.

And Mordecai wrote these things, and sent letters unto all the Jews that were in all the provinces of the king Ahasuerus, both nigh and far,

И Мардохей записа тези събития и изпрати писма до всичките юдеи, които бяха по всичките области на цар Асуир, до близките и далечните,

To stablish this among them, that they should keep the fourteenth day of the month Adar, and the fifteenth day of the same, yearly,

с които им определи да пазят четиринадесетия ден от месец Адар и петнадесетия му ден година след година,

As the days wherein the Jews rested from their enemies, and the month which was turned unto them from sorrow to joy, and from mourning into a good day: that they should make them days of feasting and joy, and of sending portions one to another, and gifts to the poor.

като дните, в които юдеите се успокоиха от враговете си, и месеца, в който скръбта им се обърна на радост и плачът им — на празник, да ги празнуват като дни за пируване и веселие и за пращане на подаръци едни на други, и за даване на милостиня на сиромасите.

And the Jews undertook to do as they had begun, and as Mordecai had written unto them;

И юдеите възприеха това, което бяха започнали да правят, и което Мардохей им беше писал.

Because Haman the son of Hammedatha, the Agagite, the enemy of all the Jews, had devised against the Jews to destroy them, and had cast Pur, that is, the lot, to consume them, and to destroy them;

Защото агагецът Аман, синът на Амидата, притеснителят на всичките юдеи, беше замислил против юдеите да ги унищожи и беше хвърлил пур, което е жребий, да ги изтреби и да ги унищожи,

But when Esther came before the king, he commanded by letters that his wicked device, which he devised against the Jews, should return upon his own head, and that he and his sons should be hanged on the gallows.

но когато Естир дойде пред царя, той заповяда с писмо да се върне върху неговата глава замисленото зло, което беше скроил против юдеите, и да се обесят на бесилката той и синовете му.

Wherefore they called these days Purim after the name of Pur. Therefore for all the words of this letter, and of that which they had seen concerning this matter, and which had come unto them,

Затова нарекоха онези дни Пурим, от името пур. Затова, поради всичките думи на това писмо, както и поради това, което сами бяха видели от това, и което ги беше постигнало,

The Jews ordained, and took upon them, and upon their seed, and upon all such as joined themselves unto them, so as it should not fail, that they would keep these two days according to their writing, and according to their appointed time every year;

юдеите постановиха и възприеха за себе си и за потомството си, и за всички, които биха се присъединили към тях, да не престанат никога да празнуват тези два дни според предписаното за тях и в определеното време всяка година;

And that these days should be remembered and kept throughout every generation, every family, every province, and every city; and that these days of Purim should not fail from among the Jews, nor the memorial of them perish from their seed.

и тези дни да се помнят и да се празнуват във всяко поколение, във всеки род, във всяка област и във всеки град; и тези дни Пурим да не се изоставят от юдеите и да не изчезне споменът им между потомството им.

Then Esther the queen, the daughter of Abihail, and Mordecai the Jew, wrote with all authority, to confirm this second letter of Purim.

И царица Естир, дъщерята на Авихаил, и юдеинът Мардохей писаха с пълна власт, за да утвърдят това второ писмо за Пурим.

And he sent the letters unto all the Jews, to the hundred twenty and seven provinces of the kingdom of Ahasuerus, with words of peace and truth,

И Мардохей изпрати писма до всичките юдеи в сто двадесет и седемте области на царството на Асуир с думи на мир и истина,

To confirm these days of Purim in their times appointed, according as Mordecai the Jew and Esther the queen had enjoined them, and as they had decreed for themselves and for their seed, the matters of the fastings and their cry.

за да утвърди тези дни Пурим в определените им времена, както юдеинът Мардохей и царица Естир им бяха определили, и както и те си бяха определили за себе си и за потомството си с наредбата за постите и плача си.

And the decree of Esther confirmed these matters of Purim; and it was written in the book.

И тази наредба за Пурим се утвърди със заповедта на Естир и се записа в книгата.
