II Kings 19

And it came to pass, when king Hezekiah heard it, that he rent his clothes, and covered himself with sackcloth, and went into the house of the LORD.

А когато цар Езекия чу това, той раздра дрехите си, покри се с вретище и влезе в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом.

And he sent Eliakim, which was over the household, and Shebna the scribe, and the elders of the priests, covered with sackcloth, to Isaiah the prophet the son of Amoz.

И прати управителя на царския дом Елиаким, писаря Шевна и старейшините на свещениците, покрити с вретища, при пророк Исая, сина на Амос.

And they said unto him, Thus saith Hezekiah, This day is a day of trouble, and of rebuke, and blasphemy: for the children are come to the birth, and there is not strength to bring forth.

И те му казаха: Така казва Езекия: Ден на скръб, на изобличение и на опозоряване е този ден, защото децата дойдоха до раждане, но няма сила за раждане.

It may be the LORD thy God will hear all the words of Rab–shakeh, whom the king of Assyria his master hath sent to reproach the living God; and will reprove the words which the LORD thy God hath heard: wherefore lift up thy prayer for the remnant that are left.

Може би ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, ще чуе всичките думи на рапсака, когото господарят му, асирийският цар, изпрати да хули живия Бог, и ще го накаже заради думите, които ГОСПОД, твоят Бог, чу. Моля те, издигни молба за остатъка, който е оцелял.

So the servants of king Hezekiah came to Isaiah.

И така, слугите на цар Езекия отидоха при Исая.

And Isaiah said unto them, Thus shall ye say to your master, Thus saith the LORD, Be not afraid of the words which thou hast heard, with which the servants of the king of Assyria have blasphemed me.

И Исая им каза: Така да кажете на господаря си: Така казва ГОСПОД: Не се бой от думите, които чу, с които слугите на асирийския цар Ме похулиха.

Behold, I will send a blast upon him, and he shall hear a rumour, and shall return to his own land; and I will cause him to fall by the sword in his own land.

Ето, Аз ще сложа в него такъв дух, че като чуе слух, ще се върне в земята си, и ще го поваля с меч в неговата земя.

So Rab–shakeh returned, and found the king of Assyria warring against Libnah: for he had heard that he was departed from Lachish.

И рапсакът се върна и намери асирийския цар да воюва с Ливна; защото беше чул, че той тръгнал от Лахис.

And when he heard say of Tirhakah king of Ethiopia, Behold, he is come out to fight against thee: he sent messengers again unto Hezekiah, saying,

А царят беше чул да казват за етиопския цар Тирак: Ето, излязъл е да воюва против теб! И той пак изпрати посланици до Езекия да кажат:

Thus shall ye speak to Hezekiah king of Judah, saying, Let not thy God in whom thou trustest deceive thee, saying, Jerusalem shall not be delivered into the hand of the king of Assyria.

Така да говорите на юдовия цар Езекия и да кажете: Да не те мами твоят Бог, на когото се уповаваш, като казваш: Ерусалим няма да бъде предаден в ръката на асирийския цар!

Behold, thou hast heard what the kings of Assyria have done to all lands, by destroying them utterly: and shalt thou be delivered?

Ето, ти чу какво са направили асирийските царе на всичките земи, как са ги изтребили. Ти ли ще се избавиш?

Have the gods of the nations delivered them which my fathers have destroyed; as Gozan, and Haran, and Rezeph, and the children of Eden which were in Thelasar?

Боговете на народите избавиха ли онези, които бащите ми унищожиха: Гозан, Харан, Ресеф и синовете на Еден, които бяха в Таласар?

Where is the king of Hamath, and the king of Arpad, and the king of the city of Sepharvaim, of Hena, and Ivah?

Къде са царят на Емат, царят на Арфад и царят на града Сефаруим, на Ена и на Ава?

And Hezekiah received the letter of the hand of the messengers, and read it: and Hezekiah went up into the house of the LORD, and spread it before the LORD.

И Езекия взе писмото от ръката на пратениците и го прочете, и се изкачи в ГОСПОДНИЯ дом, и Езекия го разгъна пред ГОСПОДА.

And Hezekiah prayed before the LORD, and said, O LORD God of Israel, which dwellest between the cherubims, thou art the God, even thou alone, of all the kingdoms of the earth; thou hast made heaven and earth.

И Езекия се помоли пред ГОСПОДА, като каза: ГОСПОДИ, Боже на Израил, който седиш на престол между херувимите, Ти и само Ти си Бог на всичките земни царства! Ти си направил небето и земята.

LORD, bow down thine ear, and hear: open, LORD, thine eyes, and see: and hear the words of Sennacherib, which hath sent him to reproach the living God.

ГОСПОДИ, приклони ухото Си и чуй! ГОСПОДИ, отвори очите Си и виж! Чуй думите на Сенахирим, който изпрати този да похули живия Бог!

Of a truth, LORD, the kings of Assyria have destroyed the nations and their lands,

Наистина, ГОСПОДИ, асирийските царе опустошиха народите и земята им,

And have cast their gods into the fire: for they were no gods, but the work of men's hands, wood and stone: therefore they have destroyed them.

и хвърлиха в огъня боговете им, защото не бяха богове, а дело на човешки ръце, дървета и камъни, и те ги унищожиха.

Now therefore, O LORD our God, I beseech thee, save thou us out of his hand, that all the kingdoms of the earth may know that thou art the LORD God, even thou only.

И сега, ГОСПОДИ, Боже наш, моля Те, спаси ни от ръката му, за да познаят всичките земни царства, че Ти, ГОСПОД, си единственият Бог!

Then Isaiah the son of Amoz sent to Hezekiah, saying, Thus saith the LORD God of Israel, That which thou hast prayed to me against Sennacherib king of Assyria I have heard.

Тогава Исая, синът на Амос, изпрати до Езекия да кажат: Така казва ГОСПОД, Израилевият Бог: Чух това, за което Ми се помоли против асирийския цар Сенахирим.

This is the word that the LORD hath spoken concerning him; The virgin the daughter of Zion hath despised thee, and laughed thee to scorn; the daughter of Jerusalem hath shaken her head at thee.

Ето словото, което ГОСПОД говори за него: Презря те, присмя ти се девицата, сионската дъщеря; зад теб поклати глава ерусалимската дъщеря.

Whom hast thou reproached and blasphemed? and against whom hast thou exalted thy voice, and lifted up thine eyes on high? even against the Holy One of Israel.

Кого си обидил и похулил ти? И срещу кого си издигнал гласа си и си надигнал очите си? Срещу Светия Израилев.

By thy messengers thou hast reproached the Lord, and hast said, With the multitude of my chariots I am come up to the height of the mountains, to the sides of Lebanon, and will cut down the tall cedar trees thereof, and the choice fir trees thereof: and I will enter into the lodgings of his borders, and into the forest of his Carmel.

Господа си обидил ти чрез пратениците си, като си казал: С множеството на колесниците си се изкачих на височината на планините, чак до краищата на Ливан, и ще изсека високите му кедри, избраните му елхи, и ще вляза в най-далечното му обиталище, в най-гъстата му гора.

I have digged and drunk strange waters, and with the sole of my feet have I dried up all the rivers of besieged places.

Изкопах и пих чужди води и със стъпалото на краката си ще пресуша всичките египетски канали.

Hast thou not heard long ago how I have done it, and of ancient times that I have formed it? now have I brought it to pass, that thou shouldest be to lay waste fenced cities into ruinous heaps.

Не си ли чул, че Аз съм наредил това отдавна и от древни времена съм го образувал? И сега го изпълних, така че ти да опустошаваш укрепени градове до купища развалини.

Therefore their inhabitants were of small power, they were dismayed and confounded; they were as the grass of the field, and as the green herb, as the grass on the housetops, and as corn blasted before it be grown up.

И жителите им бяха безсилни, уплашиха се, посрамиха се, бяха като трева на полето, като зеленина, като трева на къщния покрив, която изсъхва, преди да е пораснала.

But I know thy abode, and thy going out, and thy coming in, and thy rage against me.

Но аз зная жилището ти, излизането ти и влизането ти, и буйството ти против Мен.

Because thy rage against me and thy tumult is come up into mine ears, therefore I will put my hook in thy nose, and my bridle in thy lips, and I will turn thee back by the way by which thou camest.

Понеже буйството ти против Мен и надменността ти стигнаха до ушите Ми, затова ще сложа куката Си в ноздрите ти и юздата Си в устните ти и ще те върна по пътя, по който си дошъл.

And this shall be a sign unto thee, Ye shall eat this year such things as grow of themselves, and in the second year that which springeth of the same; and in the third year sow ye, and reap, and plant vineyards, and eat the fruits thereof.

И това ще ти бъде знамението: Тази година ще ядете самораслото, втората година — това, което израсте от същото, а третата година посейте и пожънете, насадете лозя и яжте плода им.

And the remnant that is escaped of the house of Judah shall yet again take root downward, and bear fruit upward.

И оцелялото от юдовия дом, което е останало, пак ще пуска корени надолу и ще дава плод нагоре.

For out of Jerusalem shall go forth a remnant, and they that escape out of mount Zion: the zeal of the LORD of hosts shall do this.

Защото от Ерусалим ще излезе остатък и от хълма Сион — оцелялото. Ревността на ГОСПОДА ще извърши това.

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the king of Assyria, He shall not come into this city, nor shoot an arrow there, nor come before it with shield, nor cast a bank against it.

Затова, така казва ГОСПОД за асирийския цар: Няма да влезе в този град, няма да изстреля там стрела, няма да дойде пред него с щит и няма да издигне против него могила!

By the way that he came, by the same shall he return, and shall not come into this city, saith the LORD.

По пътя, по който е дошъл, по него ще се върне и в този град няма да влезе, заявява ГОСПОД.

For I will defend this city, to save it, for mine own sake, and for my servant David's sake.

И аз ще защитя този град, за да го избавя заради Себе Си и заради слугата Си Давид.

And it came to pass that night, that the angel of the LORD went out, and smote in the camp of the Assyrians an hundred fourscore and five thousand: and when they arose early in the morning, behold, they were all dead corpses.

И в същата нощ Ангелът ГОСПОДЕН излезе и изби сто осемдесет и пет хиляди души в асирийския стан. И когато станаха на сутринта, ето, всички те бяха мъртви трупове.

So Sennacherib king of Assyria departed, and went and returned, and dwelt at Nineveh.

И асирийският цар Сенахирим се вдигна и си отиде; върна се и остана в Ниневия.

And it came to pass, as he was worshipping in the house of Nisroch his god, that Adrammelech and Sharezer his sons smote him with the sword: and they escaped into the land of Armenia. And Esar–haddon his son reigned in his stead.

А когато се кланяше в храма на бога си Нисрох, синовете му Адрамелех и Сарасар го убиха с меч и избягаха в аратската земя. А вместо него се възцари синът му Есарадон.
