I Samuel 7

And the men of Kirjath–jearim came, and fetched up the ark of the LORD, and brought it into the house of Abinadab in the hill, and sanctified Eleazar his son to keep the ark of the LORD.

Тогава мъжете от Кириат-Иарим дойдоха и взеха ГОСПОДНИЯ ковчег, и го донесоха в къщата на Авинадав на хълма, и осветиха сина му Елеазар да пази ГОСПОДНИЯ ковчег.

And it came to pass, while the ark abode in Kirjath–jearim, that the time was long; for it was twenty years: and all the house of Israel lamented after the LORD.

И от деня, в който ковчегът остана в Кириат-Иарим, мина много време и станаха двадесет години; и целият израилев дом въздишаше за ГОСПОДА.

And Samuel spake unto all the house of Israel, saying, If ye do return unto the LORD with all your hearts, then put away the strange gods and Ashtaroth from among you, and prepare your hearts unto the LORD, and serve him only: and he will deliver you out of the hand of the Philistines.

Тогава Самуил говори на целия израилев дом и каза: Ако с цялото си сърце се връщате при ГОСПОДА, махнете отсред себе си чуждите богове и астартите и насочете сърцата си към ГОСПОДА, и служете само на Него; и Той ще ви избави от ръката на филистимците.

Then the children of Israel did put away Baalim and Ashtaroth, and served the LORD only.

И израилевите синове махнаха ваалимите и астартите и служеха само на ГОСПОДА.

And Samuel said, Gather all Israel to Mizpeh, and I will pray for you unto the LORD.

И Самуил каза: Съберете целия Израил в Масфа и аз ще се помоля на ГОСПОДА за вас.

And they gathered together to Mizpeh, and drew water, and poured it out before the LORD, and fasted on that day, and said there, We have sinned against the LORD. And Samuel judged the children of Israel in Mizpeh.

И те се събраха в Масфа и си наточиха вода, и я изляха пред ГОСПОДА, и постиха в онзи ден, и казаха там: Съгрешихме против ГОСПОДА! И Самуил съдеше израилевите синове в Масфа.

And when the Philistines heard that the children of Israel were gathered together to Mizpeh, the lords of the Philistines went up against Israel. And when the children of Israel heard it, they were afraid of the Philistines.

А филистимците чуха, че израилевите синове са се събрали в Масфа, и филистимските първенци излязоха срещу Израил. И израилевите синове чуха това и се уплашиха от филистимците.

And the children of Israel said to Samuel, Cease not to cry unto the LORD our God for us, that he will save us out of the hand of the Philistines.

Тогава израилевите синове казаха на Самуил: Не преставай да викаш за нас към ГОСПОДА, нашия Бог, за да ни спаси от ръката на филистимците!

And Samuel took a sucking lamb, and offered it for a burnt offering wholly unto the LORD: and Samuel cried unto the LORD for Israel; and the LORD heard him.

И Самуил взе едно сучещо агне и го принесе цяло във всеизгаряне на ГОСПОДА; и Самуил извика към ГОСПОДА за Израил и ГОСПОД го послуша.

And as Samuel was offering up the burnt offering, the Philistines drew near to battle against Israel: but the LORD thundered with a great thunder on that day upon the Philistines, and discomfited them; and they were smitten before Israel.

А докато Самуил принасяше всеизгарянето, филистимците се приближиха да се бият с Израил. Но ГОСПОД прогърмя със силен гръм върху филистимците в онзи ден и ги обърка; и те бяха разбити пред Израил.

And the men of Israel went out of Mizpeh, and pursued the Philistines, and smote them, until they came under Beth–car.

И израилевите мъже излязоха от Масфа и преследваха филистимците, и ги избиваха чак до под Ветхар.

Then Samuel took a stone, and set it between Mizpeh and Shen, and called the name of it Eben–ezer, saying, Hitherto hath the LORD helped us.

Тогава Самуил взе един камък и го постави между Масфа и Сен, и го нарече Евен-Езер, като каза: Дотук ни помогна ГОСПОД.

So the Philistines were subdued, and they came no more into the coast of Israel: and the hand of the LORD was against the Philistines all the days of Samuel.

Така филистимците бяха покорени и не дойдоха вече в израилевите области. И ръката на ГОСПОДА беше против филистимците през всичките дни на Самуил.

And the cities which the Philistines had taken from Israel were restored to Israel, from Ekron even unto Gath; and the coasts thereof did Israel deliver out of the hands of the Philistines. And there was peace between Israel and the Amorites.

И градовете, които филистимците бяха отнели от Израил, бяха върнати отново на Израил, от Акарон до Гет, и областта им Израил също освободи от ръката на филистимците. Така между Израил и аморейците имаше мир.

And Samuel judged Israel all the days of his life.

А Самуил съди Израил през всичките дни на живота си.

And he went from year to year in circuit to Beth–el, and Gilgal, and Mizpeh, and judged Israel in all those places.

И всяка година той отиваше на обиколка във Ветил, Галгал и Масфа и съдеше Израил на всичките тези места.

And his return was to Ramah; for there was his house; and there he judged Israel; and there he built an altar unto the LORD.

После се връщаше в Рама, защото домът му беше там, и там съдеше Израил. И там издигна олтар на ГОСПОДА.
