I Samuel 6

And the ark of the LORD was in the country of the Philistines seven months.

И ГОСПОДНИЯТ ковчег беше във филистимските полета седем месеца.

And the Philistines called for the priests and the diviners, saying, What shall we do to the ark of the LORD? tell us wherewith we shall send it to his place.

И филистимците повикаха жреците и гадателите и казаха: Какво да направим с ГОСПОДНИЯ ковчег? Кажете ни как да го изпратим на мястото му?

And they said, If ye send away the ark of the God of Israel, send it not empty; but in any wise return him a trespass offering: then ye shall be healed, and it shall be known to you why his hand is not removed from you.

А те казаха: Ако изпратите ковчега на Израилевия Бог, не го изпращайте празен, а непременно Му го върнете с принос за вина. Тогава ще се излекувате и ще узнаете защо ръката Му не се е оттеглила от вас.

Then said they, What shall be the trespass offering which we shall return to him? They answered, Five golden emerods, and five golden mice, according to the number of the lords of the Philistines: for one plague was on you all, and on your lords.

И те казаха: Какъв принос за вина трябва да Му върнем? А те казаха: Пет златни хемороиди и пет златни мишки, според броя на филистимските първенци, защото една и съща язва е върху всички вас и върху първенците ви.

Wherefore ye shall make images of your emerods, and images of your mice that mar the land; and ye shall give glory unto the God of Israel: peradventure he will lighten his hand from off you, and from off your gods, and from off your land.

Затова да направите образи на хемороидите си и образи на мишките си, които опустошават земята, и да отдадете слава на Израилевия Бог. Може би Той ще отпусне ръката Си от вас, от боговете ви и от земята ви.

Wherefore then do ye harden your hearts, as the Egyptians and Pharaoh hardened their hearts? when he had wrought wonderfully among them, did they not let the people go, and they departed?

И защо закоравявате сърцата си, както египтяните и фараонът закоравиха сърцата си? След като Той извърши могъщи дела сред тях, те не пуснаха ли народа да си отиде, и той си отиде?

Now therefore make a new cart, and take two milch kine, on which there hath come no yoke, and tie the kine to the cart, and bring their calves home from them:

Затова сега направете една нова кола и вземете две дойни крави, на които никога не е слаган ярем, и впрегнете кравите в колата; а телетата им вземете зад тях и ги закарайте у дома.

And take the ark of the LORD, and lay it upon the cart; and put the jewels of gold, which ye return him for a trespass offering, in a coffer by the side thereof; and send it away, that it may go.

И вземете ГОСПОДНИЯ ковчег и го сложете на колата; и поставете златните неща, които Му връщате като принос за вина, в сандъче до страната му. И го изпратете да си отиде.

And see, if it goeth up by the way of his own coast to Beth–shemesh, then he hath done us this great evil: but if not, then we shall know that it is not his hand that smote us; it was a chance that happened to us.

И гледайте: ако тръгне нагоре по пътя към своята граница към Ветсемес, тогава Той ни е сторил това голямо зло; а ако не, тогава ще знаем, че не Неговата ръка ни е поразила, а това е станало случайно.

And the men did so; and took two milch kine, and tied them to the cart, and shut up their calves at home:

И мъжете направиха така и взеха две дойни крави, и ги впрегнаха в колата, и затвориха телетата им у дома.

And they laid the ark of the LORD upon the cart, and the coffer with the mice of gold and the images of their emerods.

И сложиха ГОСПОДНИЯ ковчег на колата и сандъчето със златните мишки и образите на хемороидите си.

And the kine took the straight way to the way of Beth–shemesh, and went along the highway, lowing as they went, and turned not aside to the right hand or to the left; and the lords of the Philistines went after them unto the border of Beth–shemesh.

И кравите поеха направо по пътя за Ветсемес; все по пътя вървяха и ревяха, като вървяха, и не се обръщаха нито надясно, нито наляво. А филистимските първенци отидоха след тях до границата на Ветсемес.

And they of Beth–shemesh were reaping their wheat harvest in the valley: and they lifted up their eyes, and saw the ark, and rejoiced to see it.

А ветсемесците жънеха пшеничената си жетва в долината; и вдигнаха очите си и видяха ковчега, и като го видяха, се зарадваха.

And the cart came into the field of Joshua, a Beth–shemite, and stood there, where there was a great stone: and they clave the wood of the cart, and offered the kine a burnt offering unto the LORD.

И колата дойде в нивата на ветсемесеца Иисус и застана там, където имаше един голям камък. И те нацепиха дървата на колата и принесоха кравите във всеизгаряне на ГОСПОДА.

And the Levites took down the ark of the LORD, and the coffer that was with it, wherein the jewels of gold were, and put them on the great stone: and the men of Beth–shemesh offered burnt offerings and sacrificed sacrifices the same day unto the LORD.

И левитите снеха ГОСПОДНИЯ ковчег и сандъчето, което беше с него, в което бяха златните неща, и ги сложиха на големия камък. И в същия ден ветсемеските мъже принесоха всеизгаряния и принесоха жертви на ГОСПОДА.

And when the five lords of the Philistines had seen it, they returned to Ekron the same day.

А петимата филистимски първенци видяха това и се върнаха в онзи ден в Акарон.

And these are the golden emerods which the Philistines returned for a trespass offering unto the LORD; for Ashdod one, for Gaza one, for Askelon one, for Gath one, for Ekron one;

А ето златните хемороиди, които филистимците върнаха на ГОСПОДА като принос за вина: един за Азот, един за Газа, един за Аскалон, един за Гет, един за Акарон;

And the golden mice, according to the number of all the cities of the Philistines belonging to the five lords, both of fenced cities, and of country villages, even unto the great stone of Abel, whereon they set down the ark of the LORD: which stone remaineth unto this day in the field of Joshua, the Beth–shemite.

и златните мишки според броя на всичките градове на филистимците, принадлежащи на петимата първенци — както укрепените градове, така и неоградените села, чак до големия камък, на който сложиха ГОСПОДНИЯ ковчег, който стои и до днес в нивата на ветсемесеца Иисус.

And he smote the men of Beth–shemesh, because they had looked into the ark of the LORD, even he smote of the people fifty thousand and threescore and ten men: and the people lamented, because the LORD had smitten many of the people with a great slaughter.

А ГОСПОД порази ветсемеските мъже, понеже бяха погледнали в ГОСПОДНИЯ ковчег. Той порази от народа седемдесет мъже и петдесет хиляди мъже; и народът плака, понеже ГОСПОД беше нанесъл на народа голямо поражение.

And the men of Beth–shemesh said, Who is able to stand before this holy LORD God? and to whom shall he go up from us?

И ветсемеските мъже казаха: Кой може да устои пред ГОСПОДА, този свят Бог? И при кого да се изкачи Той от нас?

And they sent messengers to the inhabitants of Kirjath–jearim, saying, The Philistines have brought again the ark of the LORD; come ye down, and fetch it up to you.

И те изпратиха пратеници до жителите на Кириат-Иарим и казаха: Филистимците върнаха ГОСПОДНИЯ ковчег; слезте и го качете при себе си.
