I Chronicles 14

Now Hiram king of Tyre sent messengers to David, and timber of cedars, with masons and carpenters, to build him an house.

И Хирам, царят на Тир, изпрати до Давид пратеници и кедрови дървета, зидари и дърводелци, за да му построят къща.

And David perceived that the LORD had confirmed him king over Israel, for his kingdom was lifted up on high, because of his people Israel.

И Давид позна, че ГОСПОД го беше утвърдил за цар над Израил, защото царството му се извиси високо заради Неговия народ Израил.

And David took more wives at Jerusalem: and David begat more sons and daughters.

И Давид си взе още жени в Ерусалим и Давид роди още синове и дъщери.

Now these are the names of his children which he had in Jerusalem; Shammua, and Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon,

И ето имената на тези, които му се родиха в Ерусалим: Самуа и Совав, Натан и Соломон,

And Ibhar, and Elishua, and Elpalet,

и Евар, и Елисуа, и Елфалет,

And Nogah, and Nepheg, and Japhia,

и Ногах, и Нефег, и Яфия,

And Elishama, and Beeliada, and Eliphalet.

и Елисама, и Веелиада, и Елифалет.

And when the Philistines heard that David was anointed king over all Israel, all the Philistines went up to seek David. And David heard of it, and went out against them.

А когато филистимците чуха, че Давид бил помазан за цар над целия Израил, всички филистимци се изкачиха да търсят Давид. И Давид чу и излезе против тях.

And the Philistines came and spread themselves in the valley of Rephaim.

И филистимците дойдоха и се разпростряха в долината Рафаим.

And David enquired of God, saying, Shall I go up against the Philistines? and wilt thou deliver them into mine hand? And the LORD said unto him, Go up; for I will deliver them into thine hand.

И Давид се допита до Бога и каза: Да се изкача ли против филистимците? Ще ги предадеш ли в ръката ми? И ГОСПОД му отговори: Изкачи се, защото ще ги предам в ръката ти.

So they came up to Baal–perazim; and David smote them there. Then David said, God hath broken in upon mine enemies by mine hand like the breaking forth of waters: therefore they called the name of that place Baal–perazim.

И те се изкачиха във Ваал-Ферасим и Давид ги разби там, и Давид каза: Бог разсече чрез моята ръка враговете ми, както водите правят пролом. Затова онова място се нарече Ваал-Ферасим.

And when they had left their gods there, David gave a commandment, and they were burned with fire.

И те оставиха там боговете си и Давид заповяда, и ги изгориха с огън.

And the Philistines yet again spread themselves abroad in the valley.

А филистимците пак излязоха и се разпростряха в долината.

Therefore David enquired again of God; and God said unto him, Go not up after them; turn away from them, and come upon them over against the mulberry trees.

И Давид пак се допита до Бога и Бог му каза: Не се изкачвай след тях, заобиколи ги отзад и ги нападни откъм черниците.

And it shall be, when thou shalt hear a sound of going in the tops of the mulberry trees, that then thou shalt go out to battle: for God is gone forth before thee to smite the host of the Philistines.

И когато чуеш шум, като от маршируване по върховете на черниците, тогава излез на бой, защото Бог ще излезе пред теб, за да разбие стана на филистимците.

David therefore did as God commanded him: and they smote the host of the Philistines from Gibeon even to Gazer.

И Давид направи, както му заповяда Бог, и разбиха филистимския стан от Гаваон чак до Гезер.

And the fame of David went out into all lands; and the LORD brought the fear of him upon all nations.

И името на Давид се прочу по всичките земи. И ГОСПОД наложи страх от него върху всичките народи.
