Psalms 114

इस्राएल ने मिस्र छोड़ा। याकूब (इस्राएल) ने उस अनजान देश को छोड़ा।

When Israel went out of Egypt, the house of Jacob from a people of strange language;

उस समय यहूदा परमेश्वर का विशेष व्यक्ति बना, इस्राएल उसका राज्य बन गया।

Judah was his sanctuary, and Israel his dominion.

इसे लाल सागर देखा, वह भाग खड़ा हुआ। यरदन नदी उलट कर बह चली।

The sea saw it, and fled: Jordan was driven back.

पर्वत मेंढ़े के समान नाच उठे! पहाड़ियाँ मेमनों जैसी नाची।

The mountains skipped like rams, and the little hills like lambs.

हे लाल सागर, तू क्यों भाग उठा हे यरदन नदी, तू क्यों उलटी बही

What ailed thee, O thou sea, that thou fleddest? thou Jordan, that thou wast driven back?

पर्वतों, क्यों तुम मेंढ़े के जैसे नाचे और पहाड़ियों, तुम क्यों मेमनों जैसी नाची

Ye mountains, that ye skipped like rams; and ye little hills, like lambs?

यकूब के परमेश्वर, स्वामी यहोवा के सामने धरती काँप उठी।

Tremble, thou earth, at the presence of the Lord, at the presence of the God of Jacob;

परमेश्वर ने ही चट्टानों को चीर के जल को बाहर बहाया। परमेश्वर ने पक्की चट्टान से जल का झरना बहाया था।

Which turned the rock into a standing water, the flint into a fountain of waters.
