Isaiah 27

उस समय, यहोवा लिब्यातान का न्याय करेगा जो एक दुष्ट सर्प है। हे यहोवा अपनी बड़ी तलवार, अपनी सुदृढ़ और शक्तिशाली तलवार, कुंडली मारे सर्प लिब्यातान को मारने में उपयोग करेगा। यहोवा सागर के विशालकाय जीव को मार डालेगा।

In that day the LORD with his sore and great and strong sword shall punish leviathan the piercing serpent, even leviathan that crooked serpent; and he shall slay the dragon that is in the sea.

उस समय, वहाँ खुशियों से भरा अंगूर का एक बाग होगा। तुम उसके गीत गाओ।

In that day sing ye unto her, A vineyard of red wine.

“मैं यहोवा, उस बाग का ध्यान रखूँगा। मैं बाग को उचित समय पर सीचूँगा। मैं बगीचे की रात दिन रखवाली करुँगा ताकि कोई भी उस को हानि न पहुँचा पाये।

I the LORD do keep it; I will water it every moment: lest any hurt it, I will keep it night and day.

मैं कुपित नहीं होऊँगा। यदि काँटे कँटेली मुझे वहाँ मिले तो मैं वैसे रौंदूगा जैसे सैनिक रौंदता चला जाता है और उनको फूँक डालूँगा।

Fury is not in me: who would set the briers and thorns against me in battle? I would go through them, I would burn them together.

लेकिन यदि कोई व्यक्ति मेरी शरण में आये और मुझसे मेल करना चाहे तो वह चला आये और मुझ से मेल कर ले।

Or let him take hold of my strength, that he may make peace with me; and he shall make peace with me.

आने वाले दिनों में याकूब (इस्राएल) के लोग उस पौधे के समान होंगे जिसकी जड़े उत्तम होती हैं। याकूब का विकास उस पनपते पौधे सा होगा जिस पर बहार आई हो। फिर धरती याकूब के वंशजों से भर जायेगी जैसे पेड़ों के फलों से वह भर जाती है।”

He shall cause them that come of Jacob to take root: Israel shall blossom and bud, and fill the face of the world with fruit.

यहोवा ने अपने लोगों को उतना दण्ड नहीं दिया है जितना उसने उनके शत्रुओं को दिया है। उसके लोग उतने नहीं मरे हैं जितने वे लोग मरे हैं जो इन लोगों को मारने के लिए प्रयत्नशील थे।

Hath he smitten him, as he smote those that smote him? or is he slain according to the slaughter of them that are slain by him?

यहोवा इस्राएल को दूर भेज कर उसके साथ अपना विवाद सुलझा लेगा। यहोवा ने इस्राएल को उस तेज हवा के झोंके सा उड़ा दिया जो रेगिस्तान की गर्म लू के समान होता है।

In measure, when it shooteth forth, thou wilt debate with it: he stayeth his rough wind in the day of the east wind.

याकूब का अपराध कैसे क्षमा किया जायेगा उसके पापों को कैसे दूर किया जाएगा ये बातें घटेंगी: वेदी की शिलाएँ चकनाचूर हो कर धूल में मिल जायेंगी; झूठे देवताओं के स्तम्भ और उनकी पूजा की वेदियाँ तहस—नहस कर दी जायेंगी।

By this therefore shall the iniquity of Jacob be purged; and this is all the fruit to take away his sin; when he maketh all the stones of the altar as chalkstones that are beaten in sunder, the groves and images shall not stand up.

यह सुरक्षित नगरी उजड़ गई है। सब लोग कहीं दूर भाग गए हैं। वह नगर एक खुली चरागाह जैसा हो गया है। जवान मवेशी यहाँ घास चर रहे हैं। मवेशी अँगूर की बेलों की शाखों से पत्तियाँ चर रहे हैं।

Yet the defenced city shall be desolate, and the habitation forsaken, and left like a wilderness: there shall the calf feed, and there shall he lie down, and consume the branches thereof.

अँगूर की बेलें सूख रहीं है। शाखाएँ कट कर गिर रही हैं और स्त्रियाँ उन शाखाओं से धन का काम ले रही हैं। लोग इसे समझ नहीं रहे हैं। इसीलिए उनका स्वामी परमेश्वर उन्हें चैन नहीं देगा। उनका रचयिता उनके प्रति दयालु नहीं होगा।

When the boughs thereof are withered, they shall be broken off: the women come, and set them on fire: for it is a people of no understanding: therefore he that made them will not have mercy on them, and he that formed them will shew them no favour.

उस समय, यहोवा दूसरे लोगों से अपने लोगों को अलग करने लगेगा। परात नदी से वह इस कार्य का आरम्भ करेगा। परात नदी से लेकर मिस्र की नदी तक यहोवा तुम इस्राएलियों को एक एक करके इकट्ठा करेगा।

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the LORD shall beat off from the channel of the river unto the stream of Egypt, and ye shall be gathered one by one, O ye children of Israel.

अश्शूर में अभी मेरे बहुत से लोग खोये हुए हैं। मेरे कुछ लोग मिस्र को भाग गये हैं। किन्तु उस समय एक विशाल भेरी बजाई जायेगी और वे सभी लोग वापस यरूशलेम आजायेंगे और उस पवित्र पर्वत पर यहोवा के सामने वे सभी लोग झुक जायेंगे।

And it shall come to pass in that day, that the great trumpet shall be blown, and they shall come which were ready to perish in the land of Assyria, and the outcasts in the land of Egypt, and shall worship the LORD in the holy mount at Jerusalem.
