Zechariah 2

Je levai les yeux et je regardai, et voici, il y avait un homme tenant dans la main un cordeau pour mesurer.

I lifted up mine eyes again, and looked, and behold a man with a measuring line in his hand.

Je dis: Où vas-tu? Et il me dit: Je vais mesurer Jérusalem, pour voir de quelle largeur et de quelle longueur elle doit être.

Then said I, Whither goest thou? And he said unto me, To measure Jerusalem, to see what is the breadth thereof, and what is the length thereof.

Et voici, l'ange qui parlait avec moi s'avança, et un autre ange vint à sa rencontre.

And, behold, the angel that talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,

Il lui dit: Cours, parle à ce jeune homme, et dis: Jérusalem sera une ville ouverte, à cause de la multitude d'hommes et de bêtes qui seront au milieu d'elle;

And said unto him, Run, speak to this young man, saying, Jerusalem shall be inhabited as towns without walls for the multitude of men and cattle therein:

je serai pour elle, dit l'Eternel, une muraille de feu tout autour, et je serai sa gloire au milieu d'elle.

For I, saith the LORD, will be unto her a wall of fire round about, and will be the glory in the midst of her.

Fuyez, fuyez du pays du septentrion! Dit l'Eternel. Car je vous ai dispersés aux quatre vents des cieux, Dit l'Eternel.

Ho, ho, come forth, and flee from the land of the north, saith the LORD: for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the heaven, saith the LORD.

Sauve-toi, Sion, Toi qui habites chez la fille de Babylone!

Deliver thyself, O Zion, that dwellest with the daughter of Babylon.

Car ainsi parle l'Eternel des armées: Après cela, viendra la gloire! Il m'a envoyé vers les nations qui vous ont dépouillés; Car celui qui vous touche touche la prunelle de son oeil.

For thus saith the LORD of hosts; After the glory hath he sent me unto the nations which spoiled you: for he that toucheth you toucheth the apple of his eye.

Voici, je lève ma main contre elles, Et elles seront la proie de ceux qui leur étaient asservis. Et vous saurez que l'Eternel des armées m'a envoyé.

For, behold, I will shake mine hand upon them, and they shall be a spoil to their servants: and ye shall know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me.

Pousse des cris d'allégresse et réjouis-toi, Fille de Sion! Car voici, je viens, et j'habiterai au milieu de toi, Dit l'Eternel.

Sing and rejoice, O daughter of Zion: for, lo, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of thee, saith the LORD.

Beaucoup de nations s'attacheront à l'Eternel en ce jour-là, Et deviendront mon peuple; J'habiterai au milieu de toi, Et tu sauras que l'Eternel des armées m'a envoyé vers toi.

And many nations shall be joined to the LORD in that day, and shall be my people: and I will dwell in the midst of thee, and thou shalt know that the LORD of hosts hath sent me unto thee.

L'Eternel possédera Juda comme sa part Dans la terre sainte, Et il choisira encore Jérusalem.

And the LORD shall inherit Judah his portion in the holy land, and shall choose Jerusalem again.

Que toute chair fasse silence devant l'Eternel! Car il s'est réveillé de sa demeure sainte.

Be silent, O all flesh, before the LORD: for he is raised up out of his holy habitation.
