Psalms 75

Au chef des chantres. Ne détruis pas. Psaume d'Asaph. Cantique. Nous te louons, ô Dieu! nous te louons; Ton nom est dans nos bouches; Nous publions tes merveilles.

Unto thee, O God, do we give thanks, unto thee do we give thanks: for that thy name is near thy wondrous works declare.

Au temps que j'aurai fixé, Je jugerai avec droiture.

When I shall receive the congregation I will judge uprightly.

La terre tremble avec tous ceux qui l'habitent: Moi, j'affermis ses colonnes. -Pause.

The earth and all the inhabitants thereof are dissolved: I bear up the pillars of it. Selah.

Je dis à ceux qui se glorifient: Ne vous glorifiez pas! Et aux méchants: N'élevez pas la tête!

I said unto the fools, Deal not foolishly: and to the wicked, Lift not up the horn:

N'élevez pas si haut votre tête, Ne parlez pas avec tant d'arrogance!

Lift not up your horn on high: speak not with a stiff neck.

Car ce n'est ni de l'orient, ni de l'occident, Ni du désert, que vient l'élévation.

For promotion cometh neither from the east, nor from the west, nor from the south.

Mais Dieu est celui qui juge: Il abaisse l'un, et il élève l'autre.

But God is the judge: he putteth down one, and setteth up another.

Il y a dans la main de l'Eternel une coupe, Où fermente un vin plein de mélange, Et il en verse: Tous les méchants de la terre sucent, boivent jusqu'à la lie.

For in the hand of the LORD there is a cup, and the wine is red; it is full of mixture; and he poureth out of the same: but the dregs thereof, all the wicked of the earth shall wring them out, and drink them.

Je publierai ces choses à jamais; Je chanterai en l'honneur du Dieu de Jacob. -

But I will declare for ever; I will sing praises to the God of Jacob.

Et j'abattrai toutes les forces des méchants; Les forces du juste seront élevées.

All the horns of the wicked also will I cut off; but the horns of the righteous shall be exalted.
