Psalms 120

در هنگام سختی به حضور خداوند دعا کردم و او دعایم را مستجاب فرمود.

In my distress I cried unto the LORD, and he heard me.

خداوندا، مرا از شر مردم دروغگو و از زبان حیله‌گران نجات بده.

Deliver my soul, O LORD, from lying lips, and from a deceitful tongue.

ای حیله‌گران، خدا با شما چه خواهد کرد و شما را چگونه مجازات خواهد نمود؟

What shall be given unto thee? or what shall be done unto thee, thou false tongue?

با تیرهای جانسوز سربازان و اخگرهای آتشین!

Sharp arrows of the mighty, with coals of juniper.

زندگی با شما، مانند زندگی در سرزمین ماشک و در بین مردم قیدار است!

Woe is me, that I sojourn in Mesech, that I dwell in the tents of Kedar!

از زندگی با این مردم که دشمن صلح هستند، بیزار شده‌ام.

My soul hath long dwelt with him that hateth peace.

وقتی دربارهٔ صلح حرف می‌زنم، آنها دربارهٔ جنگ صحبت می‌کنند.

I am for peace: but when I speak, they are for war.
