Jeremiah 14

ГОСПОДНОТО слово, което беше към Еремия относно сушата:

The word of the LORD that came to Jeremiah concerning the dearth.

Юда ридае, и портите му изнемощяват. Седят в черно на земята и викът на Ерусалим се издига.

Judah mourneth, and the gates thereof languish; they are black unto the ground; and the cry of Jerusalem is gone up.

И благородните му пращат малките си за вода; те идват при кладенците, не намират вода, връщат се с празните си съдове; посрамват се и се опозоряват и покриват главите си.

And their nobles have sent their little ones to the waters: they came to the pits, and found no water; they returned with their vessels empty; they were ashamed and confounded, and covered their heads.

Понеже земята се напука, защото нямаше дъжд на земята, земеделците се посрамват, покриват главите си.

Because the ground is chapt, for there was no rain in the earth, the plowmen were ashamed, they covered their heads.

Дори и кошутата на полето ражда и изоставя малкото си, понеже няма трева.

Yea, the hind also calved in the field, and forsook it, because there was no grass.

И дивите магарета стоят по голите височини, задъхват се за въздух като чакали, очите им чезнат понеже няма зеленина.

And the wild asses did stand in the high places, they snuffed up the wind like dragons; their eyes did fail, because there was no grass.

При все че беззаконията ни свидетелстват против нас, ГОСПОДИ, подействай заради Името Си! Защото са много нашите отстъпничества, съгрешихме против Теб.

O LORD, though our iniquities testify against us, do thou it for thy name's sake: for our backslidings are many; we have sinned against thee.

Надеждо на Израил, Спасителю негов във време на беда, защо да бъдеш като пришълец в земята и като пътник, отбил се да пренощува?

O the hope of Israel, the saviour thereof in time of trouble, why shouldest thou be as a stranger in the land, and as a wayfaring man that turneth aside to tarry for a night?

Защо да бъдеш като смаян човек, като силен, който не може да избави? Но Ти си сред нас, ГОСПОДИ, с Твоето Име се наричаме; не ни оставяй!

Why shouldest thou be as a man astonied, as a mighty man that cannot save? yet thou, O LORD, art in the midst of us, and we are called by thy name; leave us not.

Така казва ГОСПОД на този народ: Така обикнаха да скитат, не въздържаха краката си, и ГОСПОД не благоволи в тях. Сега ще си спомни беззаконието им и ще накаже греховете им.

Thus saith the LORD unto this people, Thus have they loved to wander, they have not refrained their feet, therefore the LORD doth not accept them; he will now remember their iniquity, and visit their sins.

И ГОСПОД ми каза: Недей да се молиш за този народ за добро.

Then said the LORD unto me, Pray not for this people for their good.

Когато постят, няма да послушам вика им и когато принесат всеизгаряния и хлебни приноси, няма да благоволя в тях, а ще ги довърша с меч и с глад, и с мор.

When they fast, I will not hear their cry; and when they offer burnt offering and an oblation, I will not accept them: but I will consume them by the sword, and by the famine, and by the pestilence.

И казах: Ах, Господи БОЖЕ! Ето, пророците им казват: Няма да видите меч и глад няма да има у вас, а ще ви дам сигурен мир на това място.

Then said I, Ah, Lord GOD! behold, the prophets say unto them, Ye shall not see the sword, neither shall ye have famine; but I will give you assured peace in this place.

И ГОСПОД ми каза: Пророците пророкуват лъжа в Моето Име. Аз не съм ги изпратил, нито съм им заповядал, нито съм им говорил. Те ви пророкуват лъжливо видение и гадание и суетата и измамата на сърцето си.

Then the LORD said unto me, The prophets prophesy lies in my name: I sent them not, neither have I commanded them, neither spake unto them: they prophesy unto you a false vision and divination, and a thing of nought, and the deceit of their heart.

Затова, така казва ГОСПОД за пророците, които пророкуват в Моето Име, а Аз не съм ги изпратил; и те казват: Меч и глад няма да има в тази земя! — с меч и с глад ще бъдат изтребени онези пророци.

Therefore thus saith the LORD concerning the prophets that prophesy in my name, and I sent them not, yet they say, Sword and famine shall not be in this land; By sword and famine shall those prophets be consumed.

А народът, на който те пророкуват, ще бъде изхвърлен по ерусалимските улици от глад и меч и няма да има кой да ги погребе, тях и жените им, и синовете им, и дъщерите им; защото ще излея върху тях злината им.

And the people to whom they prophesy shall be cast out in the streets of Jerusalem because of the famine and the sword; and they shall have none to bury them, them, their wives, nor their sons, nor their daughters: for I will pour their wickedness upon them.

И ще им кажеш това слово: Очите ми ронят сълзи нощем и денем и не престават, защото девицата, дъщерята на народа ми, е поразена с голямо поражение, с много тежка рана.

Therefore thou shalt say this word unto them; Let mine eyes run down with tears night and day, and let them not cease: for the virgin daughter of my people is broken with a great breach, with a very grievous blow.

Ако изляза на полето, ето, убитите с меч! И ако дойда в града, ето, изнемощелите от глад! Дори пророкът и свещеникът се лутат в земята и не знаят какво да се прави.

If I go forth into the field, then behold the slain with the sword! and if I enter into the city, then behold them that are sick with famine! yea, both the prophet and the priest go about into a land that they know not.

Съвсем ли си отхвърлил Юда? Погнусила ли се е душата Ти от Сион? Защо си ни поразил, така че няма за нас изцеление? Надявахме се на мир, но нищо добро не дойде; и на време на изцеление, но, ето, ужас!

Hast thou utterly rejected Judah? hath thy soul lothed Zion? why hast thou smitten us, and there is no healing for us? we looked for peace, and there is no good; and for the time of healing, and behold trouble!

Признаваме, ГОСПОДИ, безбожието си и беззаконието на бащите си, защото сме съгрешили против Теб.

We acknowledge, O LORD, our wickedness, and the iniquity of our fathers: for we have sinned against thee.

Не се отвращавай от нас заради Името Си; не опозорявай славния Си престол! Спомни си, не нарушавай завета Си с нас!

Do not abhor us, for thy name's sake, do not disgrace the throne of thy glory: remember, break not thy covenant with us.

Между идолите на народите има ли някой да дава дъжд? И небето от себе си ли дава проливни дъждове? Не си ли Ти, ГОСПОДИ, Боже наш? И на Теб се надяваме, защото Ти си направил всичко това.

Are there any among the vanities of the Gentiles that can cause rain? or can the heavens give showers? art not thou he, O LORD our God? therefore we will wait upon thee: for thou hast made all these things.
