Genesis 33

След това Яков повдигна очи и ето, Исав идваше, и четиристотин мъже с него. И раздели децата на Лия и на Рахил и на двете слугини.

And Jacob lifted up his eyes, and looked, and, behold, Esau came, and with him four hundred men. And he divided the children unto Leah, and unto Rachel, and unto the two handmaids.

Слугините и децата им сложи напред, Лия и децата й след тях, а Рахил и Йосиф — най-отзад.

And he put the handmaids and their children foremost, and Leah and her children after, and Rachel and Joseph hindermost.

А сам той отиде пред тях и седем пъти се поклони до земята, докато стигна при брат си.

And he passed over before them, and bowed himself to the ground seven times, until he came near to his brother.

И Исав изтича да го посрещне, прегърна го, падна на врата му и го целуна, и те заплакаха.

And Esau ran to meet him, and embraced him, and fell on his neck, and kissed him: and they wept.

И като повдигна очи и видя жените и децата, каза: Какви са ти тези? И той каза: Това са децата, които Бог благодатно подари на слугата ти.

And he lifted up his eyes, and saw the women and the children; and said, Who are those with thee? And he said, The children which God hath graciously given thy servant.

Тогава слугините и децата им пристъпиха и се поклониха.

Then the handmaidens came near, they and their children, and they bowed themselves.

И Лия и децата й пристъпиха и се поклониха, а после пристъпиха Йосиф и Рахил и се поклониха.

And Leah also with her children came near, and bowed themselves: and after came Joseph near and Rachel, and they bowed themselves.

Тогава Исав каза: За какво ти е целият този стан, който срещнах? А той каза: За да намеря благоволението на господаря си.

And he said, What meanest thou by all this drove which I met? And he said, These are to find grace in the sight of my lord.

А Исав каза: Имам достатъчно, брате мой, ти задръж своите си.

And Esau said, I have enough, my brother; keep that thou hast unto thyself.

Но Яков отвърна: Не, моля ти се, ако съм намерил благоволение пред теб, приеми подаръка ми от ръката ми, тъй като видях лицето ти, като че видях Божие лице, и ти беше благосклонен към мен.

And Jacob said, Nay, I pray thee, if now I have found grace in thy sight, then receive my present at my hand: for therefore I have seen thy face, as though I had seen the face of God, and thou wast pleased with me.

Приеми, моля ти се, подаръка ми, който ти е поднесен, защото Бог е постъпил благо към мен и имам всичко. И като настояваше, той прие.

Take, I pray thee, my blessing that is brought to thee; because God hath dealt graciously with me, and because I have enough. And he urged him, and he took it.

Тогава Исав каза: Да тръгнем и да вървим, и аз ще вървя пред теб.

And he said, Let us take our journey, and let us go, and I will go before thee.

Но Яков му каза: Господарят ми знае, че децата са нежни, и че имам със себе си дойни овце и говеда, и ако ги пресилят само един ден, цялото стадо ще измре.

And he said unto him, My lord knoweth that the children are tender, and the flocks and herds with young are with me: and if men should overdrive them one day, all the flock will die.

Господарят ми нека замине, моля те, пред слугата си, а аз ще карам полека според хода на добитъка, който е пред мен, и според хода на децата, докато стигна при господаря си в Сиир.

Let my lord, I pray thee, pass over before his servant: and I will lead on softly, according as the cattle that goeth before me and the children be able to endure, until I come unto my lord unto Seir.

А Исав каза: Поне да оставя с теб неколцина от хората, които са с мен. Но той каза: Каква нужда, стига да намеря благоволението на господаря си?

And Esau said, Let me now leave with thee some of the folk that are with me. And he said, What needeth it? let me find grace in the sight of my lord.

И така, в същия ден Исав се върна по пътя си за Сиир.

So Esau returned that day on his way unto Seir.

А Яков замина за Сокхот, където си построи къща и направи кошари за добитъка си. Затова мястото се нарече Сокхот.

And Jacob journeyed to Succoth, and built him an house, and made booths for his cattle: therefore the name of the place is called Succoth.

И като се върна от Падан-Арам, Яков дойде благополучно в града Сихем, който е в ханаанската земя, и се разположи пред града.

And Jacob came to Shalem, a city of Shechem, which is in the land of Canaan, when he came from Padan–aram; and pitched his tent before the city.

И купи за сто сребърника нивата, където разпъна шатрата си, от синовете на Емор, бащата на Сихем.

And he bought a parcel of a field, where he had spread his tent, at the hand of the children of Hamor, Shechem's father, for an hundred pieces of money.

Там издигна олтар, и го наименува Ел-Елое Израил.

And he erected there an altar, and called it El–elohe–Israel.
